If I could give 0 stars I would. NOT ONLY was I cancelled on TWICE (and were rude over the phone) for my dogs grooming, but when they FINALLY rescheduled me for today I showed up ON TIME. My groomed was LATE to begin with, so already had impression. I was EXTREMELY specific about how I wanted his hair cut. He gets regular “teddy bear” cuts at another Petco but they didn’t have availability. I asked for HIS REGULAR HAIR TRIM JUST A BIT SHORTER NOT SHAVED. I even specified the length using the hair models the provided. What I got was my dog who looks nothing like himself. LITERALLY GAVE him to me looking like a RAT NOT LIKE MY DOG. I honestly feel like they did this to him out of anger for me not having to pay because THEY cancelled on me twice. The lack of unprofessionalism and borderline retaliation was so foul and uncalled for and they should not be allowed to operate a grooming business. You mean to tell me you would want your dog to come out of his grooming looking like a RAT!??!!?! And they still had the audacity to ask if his haircut was what I wanted! I had no actual words for and had no choice but to leave. Horrible horrible horrible haircut never coming back and don’t bring your dog here they will leave his hair so short that it irritates his skin and leaves it red . FIRST THREE ARE HOW I REQUESTED HIS HAIR BE CUT LIKE NORMAL AND THE REST ARE WHAT I GOT.

I had an appointment scheduled with a groomer and I had called to let them know I was going to be 5 minutes late bc it was difficult to get my cat in his carrier. The woman doing grooming told me she forgot to call and cancel my appointment and she didn’t even know I had an appointment. I made this appointment over a month ago and confirmed it via text twice over the last week.She blamed not knowing about my appointment on not being able to see it on the system which just sounds like an obvious excuse due to the fact she was able to see it after I told her about it. She said the cat groomer wasn’t in today due to family emergency. Which is fine. However what isn’t fine, is not being told in advance that she was out. So my cat and I had to go through a stressful experience to get him in his carrier for absolutely nothing.I called the store an hour later to speak to a manager about my terrible experience, and when I was told I was being transferred to the manager, it was the same groomer I was put on the phone with instead of the store manager who informed me that the manager is someone else but I couldn’t speak with him because he was “out.”Honestly, it just sounded like she wanted to cover up her mistakes by not allowing me to speak with anyone higher than her.Typically, I’m easy going and easy to work with but this whole experience was so unnecessary. Not everyone should have the jobs they have acquired…

Love coming to this location for my doggy needs. Employees clearly enjoy helping and polite everytime. Got my dog the dolly cowgirl dress and shoes with help from employees on sizing.

Whenever I'm on the West side, and I need items for my cat I go to this Petco. So far, all the items I have needed were in stock, the store is clean and the employees are always friendly and willing to help you.

I’ve had such a horrible experience with both Petco & Vetco, that I am reaching out to corporate. Take caution when making purchases online or if you’re dealing with Vetco employees- twice back to back they’ve screwed up my dogs needs/services/prescriptions and they don’t care about their mistakes and want you to do all the leg work for the corrections. I strongly advise you go elsewhere for anything outside of basic products.

Be wary of leaving your dog for grooming, they are incredibly negligent. I was the first one there and dropped my dog off at 9am but the groomer was not there yet. The manager Enrika told me the groomer would call me once they got in. An hour and a half passed and I still hadn’t heard from them so I called. At this time I found out they never checked my dog in and never even started grooming her. They had her sitting in a kennel for an hour and a half and no one thought to check on this poor little dog just sitting in a kennel, they simply left her there and ignored her. The manager told me she forgot to check her in and forgot to tell the groomer when she arrived. How do you see a dog sitting in a kennel and forget about her, the grooming area isn’t very big.

I prefer Petco to PetSmart for several reasons. Petco offers competitive prices, and it's a convenient one-stop shop for all my pet needs. One standout feature is their reasonable grooming prices on weekends, which is a big plus for me due to my busy weekdays. Additionally, their vet clinic's hours are accommodating; I was able to take my pups for shots as late as 6:00 PM, aligning perfectly with my work schedule. The staff is not only helpful but also super friendly. Overall, I've had a great experience with Petco!

Went in a few days ago, looking for one specific item. I immediately asked a young lady for help and she walked me right over to the product. I’m very excited and anxious to see how effective this is for my puppies. I’ve been noticing my pups eating their stool which is called coprophagia. I purchased these chews. The only way it’s effective is when you give it to all of your dogs so that the pups won’t be eating the other dogs poo as well. This store was very clean and organized. The extra perk was the treats for our pets at the cash register area. I’d definitely return to this location for the great customer service.

We bought our granddaughter a Guinea pig here and received wonderful service from Ryan. She is very helpful and knowledgeable in area and we trust her experience and expertise. 1 year later she had been a blessing with information and ideas.The employees that we have encountered seem to love what they do. Pretty solid petco, I come here for my specific dog food taste of the wild, and my fish tank parts. I got my angel fish and cichlids there about 5 years ago and they are still thriving

Animal rescue inside Petco adopted out a sick cat, and argued even with veterinarian documentation that kitty was healthy and tried to keep the adoption fee until PayPal filed a dispute and froze the funds.Please go to a reputable shelter like Arizona Animal Welfare League or AZ Humane where you know the animals have been vetted before they are released for adoption.

Got to the store around 7:00 p.m. two employees were standing near the register talking. Eventually I found what I was looking for in a box that was in a pile of stuff that looked like it needed stocked and was going to get a fish for my pond while here. It was now 7:28 p.m. the store closes at 8:00 and the two employees were in the same place I saw them last. I asked them if one could grab me a fish which I had already picked out and one of them replied we actually stopped selling animals at 7:30. I said it's 7:28. Placed my aerator on the counter and walked out. I'll pay more for it somewhere else for better service. Note the time on the photo I just took is 7:34. I wonder if PetSmart across the street will sell me a fish?

The employees were doing their job and the store was clean. My problem is that they don't have anyone trained for the fish and aquarium department. Every fish tank had at least 1 dead fish and I feel like that's unacceptable. Go to petsmart if you wanna buy fish or ask questions regarding maintaining an aquarium or compatability between specific fish species. I was not impressed with the lack of company policy regarding this matter.

I have been taking my 1 year old Beagle, Bella here for grooming for several months now. I have to compliment my favorite groomer, Lee! She is so friendly and Bella loves her. She is very thorough and Bella comes back smelling amazing and looking fresh! Lee, you are Awesome! Thank you for taking such good care of Bella. We appreciate you.

Got a cute little cat from here in November of 2018. She was under a year old and came with microchip and all her shots. It took 3 hours of paper work to take her home but it was worth it.

This location is huge! Has anything your looking for. Very organized and clean. All the animals are very attentive. Don't be afraid to ask questions, staff was very helpful.

I got my blue iggy from here about 1 year ago. And hes doing great. Wr just love him. We only come in now for replacement lightbulbs or maybe a new log for him to climb on. Great costumer service.

The store is clean and the staff is nice but they just don't have it together. Check out is always a nightmare. Either there is no one at the register and you can't find someone OR they have some issue with the system. This last time I was there the associate was baffled by my 50 dollar bill. Needed to get a 2nd authorization because it was a large bill and then couldn't find the 2nd person. Only to find out there was a pen at the next register that she could have used to verify it was real tender.I would never return again except it's the only place I can get Taste of the Wild. Our days are numbered Petco. I will find another store to purchase it from.
