During the last 2 visits, to get 2 Chihuahua's groomed have not been provided the service that's been advertised. The nails were not trimmed, they were not dried, and not brushed. I was told, by the groomer Kiara, Chihuahua's cannot be kennel dried. Yet she charges me $4 more for one dog. And when I got to register they tried to charge me for 3 grooming. Both times our groomer has been Kiara.

Trainer would not see my dog because said she is too aggressive, which he determined without seeing her (she is not aggressive by the way) Then he said he could not refund my payment, I would have to either come into store for that or contact customer service. I contacted customer service who said they would refund within two to three days, Now a week later and no refund.

Go here for fish!!!Went to get some fish for my tank and the Aquatic Specialist was so professional, friendly, and helpful! And the price was GREAT! I got five fish for $12!! They are all doing great and came with a 30 day guarantee!

Did not have many popular brands, Got rid of Bil Jack. Was told we can order on line for you. The staff was very helpful and friendly. But corp. Always make those crazy decisions. I just wish they would go back to customer service!

About 2 months ago I got a ferret here. Sweetest most loving little girl ever(not 100 if it's a girl because her paperwork doesn't say). Ever since than I have been trying to care for this animal, every single week I am at the vet. She has a condition she was born with, so you know that clean bill of health they gave me is a lie, this condition causes her to have mass choking attacks for 20 min, ferrets don't have the ability to regurgitate. I have watched as my ferret accepts death every night. I call this petco first week when I had little idea what was going on to let them know they might have sick ferrets so they can take care of them... they immediately deflect on to me. 3 weeks later after being to the vet every weekend I call to ask for assistance. Deflect and tell me the return policy is past its date.. I didn't want a return I wanted my money back so I can help her because clearly they aren't capable of taking care of ferrets. I'm not going to give up on this little girl... but everyone should give up on this petco.

Traveled to several different pet stores looking for male Syrian hamsters. This one had a couple in stock. Cage conditions here were better than others I’ve seen. Employees were friendly. The store does close at 6PM when we were there on a Friday which is early. Other locations close at 8 I believe.

Will have to say these people are very honest which you don't get to often anymore lost my phone in the store had a $100 in the case two days later got my phone and money back... But the girl that helped me with fish was a joke she talked a good talk and I trusted she knew what she was talking about do I didn't double check. So I brought back 1 female and 3 males when I needed 4 females for my tank. With my male population so high had to get another tank to stop the fighting

We have been taking our maltipoo to Petco for 7 years since the new manager of the grooming department has taken over, staff members have been quitting and replaced . This new staff created a dog to have a heart attack. Our dog had been coming back after a grooming terrified. The manager said that our dog is no longer allowed to come because she is too nervous. We have since changed her to a new groomer and everything is back to normal. If you care about your dog don’t send them to the Store grooming located on Bell in Phoenix. The irony of the whole story is the managers first name is Cat!

I came here to get shots for my 2 dogs. Everyone was so nice and professional. They really care. The staff was helpful and even asked about my other pets and offered advice to help with them. Thanks Mia. I have a full house of dogs, parrots and fish. We always shop here. Their quality is the best and their staff is always available to help with a smile. Thank you Petco. Also the prices are so good.

Absolutely terrible customer service. We brought our dog in for some shots. The vet tech took our puppy away from us to an area in the middle of the store where he could not see us. He was scared of being in a new environment with loud sounds, barking and birds. The vet tech was holding him in some sort of choke hold. She came back with a muzzle and had me put it on him. Dogs, especially puppies get scared in new environments with loud noises and new people. Maybe if you treated the dogs better they would not nip at you. Also, as we were leaving the workers had to interrupt our conversations about the paying process to talk about their personal lives. You work in customer service, respect your customers and their dogs. Move your shot area to a quiet, private location in the store. Never coming back. I do not recommend. If I could give zero stars I would.

We recently purchased our first hamster for my 8 year old son from the store. Kelly, who was helping us was amazing! She was patient with my kids and helping us get started with our new family member. Shout out to her! She didn’t try to upsell us, and was very realistic on what we need, and don’t. Overall excellent experience, and we’ll be back for our hamster needs ☺️

My pup had diarrhea, I called ahead for the anti diarrhea liquid medication and the cashier had it waiting for me at the register, ready to ring up just as she had promised over the phone. This store is always helpful, friendly and fast! Jack snuggled up after the medication kicked in. It most definitely saved us a very expensive vet bill. Thank you Petco!

I recently was researching the 2 dry dog foods my dogs eat and located the best pricing at Petco. I ordered online and picked it up in-person. I didn't use the delivery service which was "free" as they use a delivery service that requested a tip and that would've taken all the savings that would have been gained.

I used to work for Petco a couple of years back for 10+ years. I have to say, it saddened me to see how this place has turned into. I have not shopped at a Petco much. It was convenient for my day today to stop in and thought I would give them a try. Pallets were strewn about, truck was still being worked on. It was a busy Saturday as Vetco and adoptions were going on. It was about 2pm and an employee was still working on cleaning reptile cages. I understand everything else above as those things can be worked on. What left me feeling uneasy was the poor aquatic section as it was a mess, there were a few tanks with no oxygen as the intake and outflow seemed to not be working. Algae was all over the tanks and the worst kind, red algae. My husband even thought it was a shame to see this store in such condition. The only positive thing was that our cashier was nice enough to greet us and cashed us out with a smile as we went about our way. What happened? Does anyone care anymore? Shame on the hire ups to allow this kind of thing to continue on. Come on Petco, you are better than this as I know first hand. Hoping someone wakes up.

Ohh I loved this place with loads of natural views and sounds. My both kids love to visit this place whenever we pass by. They have colorful birds and other pets so your kids can visit them meanwhile you are doing your shopping. 😎I have visited for fishes and looking for some help for fish pairing and we received all information in detail from staff.

I have been having my dog groomed by Cadence at the Tatum and Bell Petco location for over 2 years now. She is wonderful with my anxious pup! She is kind, patient, and always seeks to make sure I'm pleased with my dog's service. Early in our time with Cadence I was so pleased I ended up buying the Petco Vital Care plan just for the grooming perks since I knew I would never take my dog to anyone else again. My dog hates nail trims, but needs them every two weeks, so not only is the nail trim "free" due to the Vital Care, but also she brushes his teeth every time which is also "free". I say "free" in quotes because of course we pay monthly for Vital Care, but we also receive $15 in rewards certificates every month to use for food, products, etc. So practically free for the grooming care we receive. Cadence makes the whole process much easier for this 'anxious dog' mom. No more being mauled every time he needs a trim - whew! I've never had any problems there in all this time, and we are definitely a bit "complicated" lol.Also, Angel (the grooming manager) and the rest of the gals in the grooming department always make me feel welcome and important. At this point, I'm pretty sure I'm family :) Anyway, just wanted not to waste any more time and finally give them a nice review, one they deserved years ago!

This particular store has really gone down the tubes since the pandemic. The only reason I go here is since we live nearby - the location by where I work near Talking Stick is way better. This location is a real mess inside - empty boxes and pallets all over the place, unorganized shelves. On more than one occasion I've had difficulty actually reaching the products I need because stacked boxes of products, etc were in the way. I hope they are treating the animals decently in there. The employees look less than enthusiastic about being there and seem disheveled. And they seem to change their hours on a regular basis. Tonight they decided to close at 6 pm. Really??? Does corporate know how bad this location is???
