I've had mixed experiences at this Petco but today I encountered a gentleman named Sawyer who was so pleasant and so nice to my son helped us get a new dog tag, talked about training classes with our temperamental dog and really took the time to make us feel welcome and I wanted to take a moment to thank him my name. I also wanted to mention that this place has a wide selection of each remedy products for dogs. It was quite impressed. They also have a clinic for immunizations only so you don't have to pay the vet exam fee to get shots. They come in every other Monday and every thursday. It's called vetco I'm sure you can get information on the Petco website. I included pictures of some itch remedies in a previous posting and a few pictures of the beautiful birds and chameleons and tortoises that this Petco has for adoption right now. Thank you Sawyer! I came by today and am concerned with the humidity levels that the ball pythons are being kept at. Ball pythons are supposed to be kept at 40-60 percent humidity but the humidity gauge for all 3 enclosures read around 20 percent. One of the snakes was laying in his water bowl- it’s too dry in there for them. Potential customers, beware of the practices that this store is employing for their reptiles. I would hope that a large chain store like Petco would be knowledgeable in how to keep snakes- but this proves wrong. Please learn the correct humidity to keep reptiles and amend this issue.

Got my little dog groomed at this Petco on Monday, my only problem is the price. It is getting to expensive to get a small dog 13# groomed. They need to offer a senior discount. And I can't afford a monthly charge to belong to thier club to get a discount, absurb. The care and grooming was excellent, it is just too expensive.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THE GROOMING DEPARTMENT!! I thought I would try somewhere new and booked a grooming appt for our golden retriever and the day of I get a text saying sorry your appt was cancelled so I called and evidently the groomer called in sick hmmmm then they said we would reschedule you for another day and that was today and guess what...I called to confirm before I left since I didn't get another text confirming and WOW WOW WOW...Oh we are so sorry but your appt was never booked. First of all I will NEVER step foot in a Petco again and the customer service is so horrible and they act like its no big deal to the customer and laugh about it. What a waste of time and you are really taking a chance with this place for all I know it was probably a sign to not go my golden would of come home with NO HAIR probably. UGH JUST ANNOYING PLACE TO DEAL WITH!! BEWARE!

Marissa was exceptional and she made the entire experience so stress free for both myself and my fur baby! She had such a positive energy upon walking into the grooming salon. She was also very efficient and professional! We will be coming back to her from now on ♥️

Vetco clinic every other Monday, 1st and 3rd(i believe) and weekly on Thursdays does discounted vaccinations for cars and dogs right there on the sales floor with no need for an exam fee. FYI, we were grateful to find this out while shopping the other day!

I had a good experience with my order. The employees are friendly and helpful.process was simple and easy to follow. The CSR who helped me was wonderful and a pleasure to work with. The only negative was the item that was set aside was the wrong item. My CSR was able to locate the correct bag and I was on my way.

The people here are awesome took my Rottweiler in for a new harness unleashed left there went to Walmart my dog ended up jumping out of the back of my truck the lady noticed him and literally followed him for 4 to 5 blocks until I could catch up to them so grateful I'll never go anywhere else

I posted my review a couple of days ago, and they took it down.This was my 3rrd stop looking for Angel Fish. To my surprise, the employee refused to sell me the fish because she said the tank was too small. I have 5 fish in my tank. I didn't know 25 gal was too small, haha. She didn't know that I had fish tanks all my life. From 10 gal to 125 gal. She apparently didn't know that a fish would only grow to its environment. I worked for fish stores and learned everything I could. Employee told me that she was trying to protect her animals while I'm looking at overcrowded tanks.She was rude to me and my wife. I will never go back to this store location.

Denise was awesome! 10 out of 10 service. My boyfriend took me here to buy me a new fish and she helped us get everything we needed and set up for our new pet. She was very polite friendly and helpful! It was a pleasant experience and I would definitely come here again

I am not sure they taking shower the dog before they cut hair. I do pay for the wash and cut service , but smells like not even took a showers or grungy smells mixed up with baby powder smells when i pick up my dog from there.This is not even first time having this bad smells after I pick my dog from there.

Went to an adoption event today. It’s very unfortunate the rescue doing the adoptions were forcing the dogs to go to a home with another dog. We recently lost our 16 yrs old chihuahua mix and saw several babies we were interested in but because we prefer to be a one dog home a dog was unable to get a forever home.

I like it and always have a good experience. They have some options that PetSmart does not have especially for smaller critters like rabbits. I also like that you can bring in your dogs or cats for shots when the Vetco team is there. This is very convenient.

My new puppy needed a few toys. I love this store. Everyone is super kind and knowledgeable. I have been shopping at this one for 25 years. From buying pet rats to a pet ferrets. Boots for my dog, you name it they have the best items.I tried to buy items off Amazon and kept having to return them.No hassles and truly great staff of people to help.They also gave me a welcome package to same money for my new puppy.This is why I give them a high 5

Petco is the only pet store I go to it's an all in one stop from pet supplies grooming and their Vet clinic not to mention they are the only store that sells the food my dog is willing to eat

Is it time to update your pets vaccines? Come here! I have gone to the spay and neuter clinics for vaccines because of the low cost before and ::SPOILER ALERT::: Petco/vetco charges the same price without the 2+ hour wait! To top this fast service off the techs and vet were super helpful with advice for my newest pup. Even the groomer came out and offered suggestions when I was looking confused at the wall of brushes. Seriously love this location!

Whatever you do, do not risk buying fish here. Despite it having a decent selection, a lot of the fish are very obviously diseased. One tank in particular had a dozen or so goldfish in it that were infested with Ich. Upon further inspection, multiple other tanks had the same issue. There were many tanks with dead fish in them, being devoured by other fish or left to rot.The aquatic plants are also in very bad shape. There is clearly not enough light or CO2 for them, and in a few of the tanks you can see snails that have invested the plants.When I asked the employee named Misty to help me, she was very rude and short with me once I pointed out the Ich. I got a lot of one word answers and was cut off on the middle of my sentences. She acted as though she was going to treat the tanks once I had pointed it out, but slammed the lids closed when I had gone to another aisle. I later overheard her mocking me with another employee.Would not recommend any sort of aquatic animals from this location.

I shop at the Ray road location 85048 all the time. The staff at this location should serve as a role model for the rest of employees in the entire company.Yesenia, Conner, and Kaleb are always going out of their way to assist me with a question about the fish hobby or an item that I have a question about or an issue with. They never hesitate to stop what they are doing to assist me the customer. And they are so friendly and cool. Super down to earth. If I can say anything I think they all deserve to be recognized for all their hard work. I don't waste time writing reviews very often I just feel that these awesome Petco workers deserve it and the recognition that comes along with doing a good job. the entire staff at this location is great as well!!! I just can only remember the three names at the moment. Have a great weekend to the whole team and keep up the good work you guys!!!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍👍👍👍👍 I'm going to keep shopping here and refer all my family and friends to your location because of your service so thank you I really do appreciate the respect and the friendly atmosphere that I received shopping at this location(85048)

Ryan and Rachel were both wonderful and helpful. I felt that my precious "stuff" was safely in good hands and would definitely use them again if needed! The 5x5 space was plenty but it wasn't climate controlled. Not a problem since my belongings had been in a U-Haul trailer moving across the country for two weeks. This would have rated 5 stars if it hadn't been for the bees that showed up and got into everything. Thankfully they were all dead, but even in some of the baggies?
