I’m a new resident to Phoenix as of October 2023, originally from Florida. I have passed Pet Food Depot several times and today I had a reason to stop in. I just adopted a puppy and I figured I’d pick him up some food, bowls and a treat to start. I must say their selections are incredible and prices I can live with. There is so much to choose from, it’s like a Home Depot for our beloved animals. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. I will DEFINITELY be coming back. You have a customer for life. Thank you again 👍🏻😎

The workers were amazing and kind but I have my puppy the vaccine you guys provide but ever since we gave it to her she has been low energy, lays down all day, doesn't eat at all, pukes , and has diarrhea. My dog is getting week day by day and it's been 3 now it's my knowledge the longest effects are 48 hours . It's been way longer than that and she didn't have any of these problems until we gave her the vaccine.

This is by far the best independent pet food store I've been to, and they have a great selection of high quality healthy pet food for all the specialized diets. My cat is allergic to poultry, and this is one of the only places that sells a fish only diet. Everyone is really nice and helpful too!

Great place for k9 vaccines, propane refills, dog food, and some nice leather dog collars. There are tons of specialty dog treats like duck heads and chicken feet. I have been coming here for 15 plus years.

We love shopping here. We go for a lot of dog snacks like pig ears chicken and duck feet. Their prices are really reasonable too.

Not a place I will do business with anymore, bad attitudes and an unwelcome feeling every time I shop. No worries there’s plenty of other family owned shops in the valley.

Love pet depot. It's the only place I know that sells buffalo chews that my dog loves. I ditched the big box stores and chewy to support a local business (and without those annoying boxes). The staff is knowledgeable and helped us figure out a new food for a very allergic dog. It's also a nice touch that they help you to your car.

Mostly have mice as feeders, no rats. The rats they do have are usually pinkies and too small. And overall, their feeders are over priced in comparison to other feed stores. The customer is okay tho I suppose.

I purchased vaccinations at this place when my pup was 8weeks old and we had to take her to the vet and she was put down because she had parvo nothing I can do legally but consumer be aware the vaccines at this store are not effective

Great place to go buy food for your animals. There’s an overwhelmingly large selection of food for any animal you could have. If you’re looking for something they probably have it. They’ve even got baby chicks, rabbits, and live birds for sale. They offer a lot of specials on bags of food like buy 12 get the 13th free.

Pet Food Depot lost me as a customer today when I went in with questions regarding food for my dog and no one knew what they were talking about. Everyone seemed too busy making sure their job as store associates were more important then a customer that has been coming to this store loyally for a year since I moved here. I wanted Pet Depot to be that neighborhood store that worked closely with vendors and truly care about animals and the products they carry. It seems it’s just another Petsmart. They carry way too many things always things on clearance the store at this location hence all the junk bakery food they buy in bulk and then sale at a ridiculous price. It is also extremely dusty not taken cared of. This is more of a FEED store. I won’t be back to any Pet Food Depot locations.

Less than 1 star. We run a 501c3 nonprofit Animal shelter and we attempted to buy feed plus additional supplies and supplements. Our rescue receives donations from purina via a coupon for free bags. The coupons clearly state there is no limit on the use of the coupons unlike a regular coupon. The coupons are state we are a rescue. In addition this store has been given our rescues information. The coupon also states the merchant is fully reimbursed plus given cost of processing coupons. Our rescue spent over $900 a month at this place. This past weekend the cashier told us we could only use 1 per the owner. I explained the coupon states the opposite, he didn't care. So obviously they don't like to have rescues as their customers. So from now on Tractor Supply will get our business.

We came here for the first time to buy a specific dog food brand which they have and I appreciated this, so two stars for inventory. However the employee at the counter was so rude. I was there with a small kid and my dog and there was no offer to help when I was handling this $100 bag of dog food. Also I couldn’t find the barcode (while I was the one lifting the bag) and the employee said “it’s gotta be there somewhere.” So unhelpful.Some comments say they helped them to their car, how did they get such special treatment!Edit: I changed the review to 5 stars because the owner was extremely responsive to this post and corrected the issue immediately. Thank you. We look forward to coming back.

I love this place. We just got our pup groomed and I decided to go check out some dog sweaters. I got one for our Schnorkiepoo and two for our pugs at home. Reasonably priced, ADORABLE dog sweaters. Ask the lady in the back by all the food if you don't see the sweaters out. They had just put them away in boxes because the temps have been warmer lately. Great place!!
