This store is my go to when adding healthy fish into my aquarium. You can really tell they put a lot of time and effort in the livestock, making sure all the fish are healthy and happy before leaving the store. Hunter was exceptional in helping me pick some awesome clownfish!

Great staff always helpful! Hunter helped me out today told him about how my cat fish disappeared.he said have no fear hunters here! He explained how those catfish work and I found it! I get all my cichlids here love going to look around at everything. Great selection of fresh and salt water fish! Definitely recommend this place!

Stopped in for the first time today. Never shopping at Petsmart again for aquarium needs. This place is awesome, with a lot to offer for Freshwater and Saltwater aquariums. We were helped by Noel who was helpful and knowledgeable. Great spot all around and I will be back.

I really trust Kona reef with my favorite hobby, I buy all my saltwater and freshwater fish from them, they’re very knowledgeable, friendly and happy staff, I met Natalie there she’s super nice! She always has the right answers for my purchases, I love it when people with the same passion share good advice. Just started our first saltwater nano tank and stopped by to get some fish for it. Noel was very helpful let us take our time looking around and answered all the questions we had. We picked out 2 clownfish and they are doing great in the new tank. Will definitely be back for some coral

I’ve been to this location a handful of times and Noel has been pretty attentive each time!! He is patient when it comes to me asking a million questions and always willing to educate me in terms of “harmonizing” my tanks. I’ve had success in keeping healthy fish from this store and the staff is very helpful.

This place is amazing! They helped us set up an awesome fish tank for my daughters 6th birthday and did a wonderful job educating and informing us about all the aquarium maintenance. Hunter was super nice and extremely knowledgeable! He helped me multiple times in the store (and over the phone). I highly recommend Kona Reef for all your aquarium needs.

Kona Reef is such a cool place to visit. Whenever I am in town I am always sure to come here. Whenever I have any questions Jason is always on top of it. He goes above and beyond and is so helpful. Great small business! Lots of selection and knowledgeable staff. Whether you are establishing a new tank with all the necessary equipment or just stocking it with fish, plants, or food, it is always available in store. Noel helped me out on my last visit and was amazing, truly above and beyond, about additional plants and tank mates for my little female beta. She is so sweet and beautiful and healthy! All my fishy’s have survived and are thriving wonderfully. Same with the live plants, also! Thank you, Noel, and other staff members! I would like to include that the PADI Scuba Shop is next door, too. Super fun shopping strip to get all my needs in one, convenient location!

They run copper in their systems so that’s nice, never really have had a problem with fish dying. Wide coral selection. Ben Is super informative and knowledgeable, he makes the store.

No longer have sea horses, bummed about that. Organized, friendly staff. Way too many clowns.. I love them, but once you have them, rather have other fish to choose from. Great display tanks.

I am thinking of starting a nano reef. Went to petco becausethey were close. Selection and quality was horrible. Came to Kona and was blown away! Super clean and very helpfull staff. Amazing selection of fishand coral of every shape and size. They even sell used aquariums. Highly recommend! This is my definite go to!!

This is a very nice store. It is clean and organized. The fish and coral are set up in several tanks with plenty of space in between- it did not feel over crowded like other stores. The coral racks are set in shallower water, which makes for easy viewing. The sitting area in the front with a big tank is pretty and relaxing for those waiting on others to finish shopping.There were 4 staff members present when we were there, and they were very kind and attentive. You can tell that they take pride in their work. The prices are reasonable.Overall, a great experience and we will be back for sure!

I came here on a recommendation from a friend and he wasn't wrong. This place is SUPER cool. Makayla was very very patient, helpful, and knowledgeable. She pretty much knew the answers to all my questions. There is a surprising variety here with ALOT of saltwater coral and plants. I definitely recommend checking this place out. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks again for your help Makayla. ( sorry if i spelled your name wrong 😐) oh and the shirts and hats are pretty cool too!😎

We just started a new salt water tank and we were so happy to see a store so close to us. Hunter, Isaiah and Gus are always so helpful when we go in and have answered every question we’ve asked them (and there have been a LOT). They helped us when our tang got worms and have been helping us maintain our tank since day one. They’re probably the reason our tank is doing so well!The store has a great selection of fish and coral and their store tanks are always fun to look at too. I would highly recommend this location to anyone with a saltwater tank and definitely to beginners wanting to start a saltwater tank.

I decided to check this place out for the first time today and was not disappointed. I was immediately greeted by both a friendly worker and the shop dog. I spent about 30 minutes looking around and all the fish looked healthy and the tanks very clean. I didn't see a single dead fish which is far removed from other fish stores I have visited. During the 30 minutes I spent looking around I was asked 2-3 more times if I needed any help (awesome customer service). I absolutely plan on returning. Great store, fair prices and helpful staff.

I’ve been using Kona Reef for over a year now. Their live stock selection is great. I use them for service as well. Walt has been amazing doing my regular aquarium maintenance. Ben the manager is very accommodating as well. I can’t say enough good thing about this company!!
