Love the fact that I can eliminate multiple trips to different stores but I strongly dislike the fact that some of the older women that work here feel it’s ok to belittle and mistreat customers because they are the same age as their own kids or grandkids. Being described as High strung by a supervisor translates to rude and belittling to a customer. This has been my home store fry’s for the past 15 years at this point I will travel to a further store for my shopping.

Im a nurse thats stops at this store every morning before work I never have a problem checking out only when Juanita isn't there every time she's there she pulls out her little black box and locks my cart on me he has done this to me already over 7 times I brought it up to another lady's attention and she just laughed so now I'm going to start recording myself coming out the store with my purchase items and I I will will post my videos so you all see how many times this lady does this to me I don't know what her problem is but she should not be working dealing with people she's rude and so is the other lady for thinking it's funny it's not funny when you're trying to carry your groceries out by hand because they keep locking up your cart, never have problems when she isn't there, but EVERY TIME she is this happens to to me , no a coincidence she is doing this on purpose!

This is by Far the worst Fry's in all of Arizona. Besides the associates being Overall Rude. Most of them present it as they Don't like their jobs. Lines are always long! Their Money Services is a joke with one associate and 10 ppl waiting in line. Do they care..? No, there is no sense of urgency or efficiency! The aisles are always messy and it literally looked like somebody Ransacked the shelves! Do yourself a Favor and go to another one! This One Sucks!!!

Despite being super busy this store always seems to be well stocked and maintained. Some staff have been rude so I took off a star. Other than that they have so much latin food brands and a bakery with tres leches and churros YUM! They also have free fruit for the kiddos and my little one loves to grab a banana when he comes. Will continue to shop here. Thank you.

Tortilleria- why does this look so dirty??Why doesn’t he have gloves on? I just saw him touch his phone then out his hands in the gray thing and pull this colander out and he used this filthy bucket. Is this sanitary???

I'm never coming to this frys again. I went in for spinach and kale. They didn't have spinach and all of their produce was wilted and looked like it had been there for over a week.

I was there before and I'm disabled so I went there hoping they had electric shopping carts but they had none and today i went back and it was a very nice surprise that they had five carts available thanks to the management that took care of this matter 🙏👍

Went in to buy the big huge donuts (Texas donuts) and all I seen was that donut case full of baby flies. They were sitting all over the donuts, turn overs, cupcakes etc.. I told this female worker and all she told me was there were no managers around until later. I asked for the store manager and she said I don’t know where he’s at. Like you couldn’t page him or call for some type of manager on duty. I told her all those pastries would have to be discarded bcuz of the flies and she just stood there and said Oh and smiles. I left and as I was walking away she served a customer anyway. Very disgusting, nasty, dirty place and unsanitary. Never going to buy anything at that store EVER! I didn’t even think this place deserves 1 star but that’s the only way I could comment. Fix the problem FRYS MERCADO.. hire some people who understand when you bring problems to their attention. Smh!!!

The 4th of July, I called Fry's because the pharmacy didn't answer and I needed my meds. The person that answered asked another ," is our pharmacy open today? " This was at 1:31pm . The answer was " yes". I get there at 2:45 , closed. The signs, as you can see, do not make any mention of being closed at 2:45. So I asked an employee, standing by the pharmacy, where there were 2 more Fry's employees. They 3 came to mutual agreement that the pharmacy was closed for a break. I shopped for another hour, no pharmacy. Before I left I mentioned the price of gas to management. The original answer should have been yes but they close at 3:00 even though they were closed a little before 3:00. I do notice I have a hard time getting any of the employees to help me out when I'm looking for something in that storage as well. Their price higher than other grocery stores and they don't have enough money yet that they can even get their employees to be helpful. Not worth the money thanks anyway!

I'm just talking about the outdoor whole pollo on the grill! Best chicken I've had in Arizona. Honestly wish I would have gotten two!!! Beautifully cooked!As far as inside food, I would stay away from any deli food, it tends to be out too long and could make you sick, and sometimes there are bugs and caked on grease in areas just because it's Arizona heat. I buy their groceries and cat food because they have good deals with a Fry's card.

This review is for an employee named Tony at the register. The store itself is only 3 stars. Out of the many Fry's I have shopped at this is my least favorite store, but seeing Tony is always a pleasure.I am new to the Phoenix area and had never shopped at a Fry's before. Whenever I come into 4230 McDowell Rd I always see Tony at the register working hard with a line of people waiting to check out. He is always helpful and kind and always has a smile on is face no matter the circumstances. He never fails to ask for my shoppers card. I really appreciate him and I hope that Fry's does too.

This review is for the Bakery. I orders a cake ahead of time and they gave me a time that the cake would be ready online for the next day. That day and time I arrived to find out they didn’t even make the cake smh I had to go to food city to get a cake because it was my sons birthday that day. And all they did to help me was try to sell me a bigger and more expensive cake

Every. Single. Time I come to this frys deli is closed before 7pm, some snotty kid with an attitude tells me they are closed and then a manager named Daphne 3 weeks ago said oh we are understaffed --i told her that excuse is given weekend and weekdays. Meanwhile I can drive to the next closest location and their deli is open and I got the fish that McDowell couldn't serve me at 6:35pm..note the time of this review at 7pm on the dot. And take yourself to food city across the street from this location their deli and kitchen is open til 8.

In my opinion, the self-checkout area is a bit unorganized. It can also be a bit frustrating after waiting in line...only to finally get to the next register and it says "cash only" when all you have is plastic. It's even more frustrating when the very next register is the same! Overall it is a decent Fry's.

It's Fry's, they got good prices, good selections, definitely my favorite of the grocery stores to go to. The problem I have with this one, I thought we still lived in the United States. (See picture)

I’ve had multiple problems with their bakery, their staff is very rude and dismissive. Their manager Ruben is as equally rude and unprofessional. He immediately got defense when I stated my opinion. Not cool Ruben and bakery staff.

There is no more "Customer Service" i went to the floral dept right in front of store, the man working it seemed kind of rushed....(no one else was waiting there) I asked about corsages for prom. He replied, we don't have adequate equipment to make those, plus not much demand at this frys" oh cause its on 43rd Ave & McDowell Rd? Like us Mexican American's kids don't attend prom. Then he says, yeah you can Google other frys nearby see if they will. I wanted to say, You call around for me... again No Customer Service. Very dissatisfied. Terrible service. Management will not do a thing. Safeway it is then...

Came for some supplies for our company Christmas Party.Disappointing.Out of 12 packs of any kind of tea.So, soda was the only option.No choice on the plastic silverware other than Kroger brand.Which is Not very durable. Again Disappointing!!Store is Very dirty and unkept.It just felt like the store managers didn't care.Christina did not take my Frys card so NO points awarded.All in all not a Frys store Kroger should be proud of.

Usually very busy. The staff is hard working and efficient in check out even though the lines are long. Not the best of locations because of the drug usage outside and in the adjacent gas station.

Hi my name is Arleth Calderon, it has brought me in concern an issue when sending money to Mexico through Western Union at 4230 W. McDowell Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85009 that I had the past month or so and today on Tuesday July 12, 2022 I had the same issue of the Manager and this other lady has denied my passport that is effective when not expired and is able to be used to pay bills and a proof of identity that is the person. I feel discriminated and hurt because I have never had an issue before. That store Manager tried to let me use it this time, but I just don't get it, if it's a policy "to be followed" then why does he commit an error to still do it. My only concern is if they are aware of the rules, if not simply I was Discriminated and I am very very disappointed.
