I used to go to Safeway occasionally but recently I have been a much more frequent shopper. Great deals and much friendlier workers. The Starbucks girls are the best, Especially Ruby! She's such a hard worker and such a sweetheart.

The bakery is amazing & quick! I got a cake decorated for a retirement party and she was amazing!!! If you see her your will have an amazing decorate cake. As long as she is there I will get my cakes from here!!! It was tasty also! Yum

Tap does not work. It's such a huge inconvenience to walk back to my car, grab my physical card, and tap with the card to work..... luckily I had my card or else I would have just left. The customer service desk was not even open as well. Very frustrating and beyond annoying. All the employee said was yea it happens....

had an issue with the clipped coupon, check out guy with curly hair, came over laughed at me and walked away. been treated badly before for being disabled and Safeway manager never cared. i guess safeway thinks it's OK to make fun of the disabled. please hire more people that make fun of disabilities.

Went to the meat counter. For some crab legs after a Black gentleman working there. See's me walks away and tells another Employ to assist me. He walks up. Ask, "How can I help you?" let him know 'I like a pound of crab legs, please!'He points me to a Island freezer a few feet away and said there's crab legs in there. But those pre bagged crab legs were way more than I needed. With that said not for nothing, Must have been the most Useless Employees, I've ever encountered. Honestly if you don't want to work stay home! and don't pass the customer around like a hot potato. You're embarrassing safeway.

Stop in for some Mother's Day gift GREAT SELECTIONS HOWEVER... I was discusted to see only one checker. SORRY Safeway I don't work here so self checkout is not an option for me please employ more cashier's waiting in line for the one cashier and management NOT opening another checker line was ridiculous!!!!!!!

Extremely bad experience with EBT transaction. Attempted to buy hot prepared lunch items and was told I couldn't purchase prepared foods. I was surprised but, I had to explain EBT can be used if some clients cases for prepared or unprepared food, while at least 15 others waited in self checkout. Customer Service clerk came over and reiterated same misinformation and told me to take it up with DES saying it was their policy. Unfortunately for everyone that overheard all this stupidity she added that Safeway was not interested in that type of customer.Absolutely the dumbest thing I've ever heard other than what's said on The View! Keep up the great work over there. You may want to update your antiquated policy

SAFEWAY PharmacyStaff your location so they can handle the pharmacy and answer the phones! All I had was a question about a text message I recieved from the pharmacy. I have been having trouble with getting thru to an actual person there for the last 2 months but today was the worst!**3pm 5/1/24 Tried for 40 minutes to get through to the pharmacy with no luck-*4 times no answer at all and it went to the voicemail that "is not accepting messages at this time" (hasn't been accepting messages for a month btw)*3 times the phone was picked up and was immediately put on hold until it rolled over to another automated message with no option to leave a voicemail*3 times calling customer service with no answer going to another dead end messageNEVER got thru to a single person!I drive to the store to see what's happening at the pharmacy. 3 in line ahead of me- I call the pharmacy in line and am put immediately on hold again- by the pharmacist I'm looking at. I ask what is going on with the phones and the tech says they are just swamped. I am changing pharmacies even though it is a total pain. This was just too much.

This is my local store it's always clean and organized. They recently remodeled so it's taking a sec to familiarize myself with all the changes but it should not be that difficult. The workers here are always polite and definitely make sure everything is up to par. They also have redboxes, gift card buyer and coin star kiosks

Check their products!!! They had tons of expired Starbucks canned coffees throughout the store. Cashier had an attitude problem when the problem was brought to her attention.

This is the first time we went to this store. We actually have Safeway store near by at our house. But just happened we were near by and just took a chance to get a better deal.The store wasn't crowded and the lights were bright and shine. Safeway have always good price for fresh berries. Make sure become a member to get the club price.The parking lot space quite spacious. If you come from Thunderbird, the store was easy to see.We didn't really buy anything else's here except for whole food. It is also have a better tax here in Peoria. We are saving a few pennies from choosing stores whose have cheaper tax.

Ok. I'm done every single time I buy produce at this particular store, it goes bad within 2 days. I just threw away ANOTHER container of berries that were molded. Do a better job please!

Very clean and well stocked store. Aisles are spacious and wide so you can move around with ease when pushing your cart. The employees are very helpful when you can't find certain items. Cashier are fast even when there are lines. The items at the Deli section go fast so try to go morning or early afternoon. Parking is never a hassle.

Very Good Customer Service I am very Satisfied with the Ladies at the flower shop that helped me with 7 bouquet of lily. I came back after 5pm for another 7 lily bouquet and the three Gentleman very helpful. Until they got my Lily from Customer Service. I am so grateful. Very happy. I recommend this Safeway 👌 to everyone.

This was my first time shopping at this Safeway locstion(83rd & Cactus).The store looks old. Compared to others I've been in, it looks really old. The deli guy with cool, handlebar mustache was really helpful and polite, with me and, as I witnessed, other people too.Produce area, shelves, and the actual produce was really dreadful. Lettucesespecially. Even the packaged greens weren't great. There was one guy cashiering, he talked too dang much, line got longer and longer. He was only friendly to some people, not everyone.I was overcharged, then had to stand in line longer to get it corrected. I get the sense that maybe it's poorly managed.

The staff are absolutely amazing, especially a cashier i encountered the other day named Hazel. She was absolute wonderful and so kind to me; I was having such a bad day and she brightened it, I will remember her forever. Definitely recommend shopping here ❤️

They had a sale on T-bone steak and I needed a 4 pack. They all came in a pack of 3. The younger guy, at the meat counter, explained to me that he can't make a 4 pack, as policy. I said I understand and thanks. An older man, who looks like he's going to be a curmudgeon, asked him what I wanted and to let me know that he'll be right with a 4 pack. Then, later on same trip, I asked the older butcher gentlemen if they had any more of the ground beef, that was on sale, and he replied that they did not, but he'll be right back with some that he'll put together. This was the last evening of the sale, so if they didn't have any more of the sale items, I was okay with walking away without what I needed. As of the last several years, I've rarely experienced really great service like this. I am bummed that I did not get his name. If I do get it, I will update this review.

Fairly average Safeway with a decent selection. The store is clean and the employees are relaxed. I liek thta it has a fedex location in store and every department is well stocked. Keep an eye out for the discount area at the back, my partner finds allot of really good desserts here at steep discounts and it's bad for my waistline. So please, visit this store and buy all the desserts from the mark down section before he does.
