I rarely use the words hate or despise in my life but I can honestly say I absolutely hate dealing with this store in anyway whatsoever. I love being able to give a positive feedback with a store when it is deserved and I'm not talking about a business doing what is expected I'm talking about leaving a store where the business was exceptional and just killed it in everyway whether it be a restaurant or a parts store and everything in between. That being said the same goes in the opposite direction, I'm not a Karen that complains about stuff just to hear my own voice I only say something when I'm seriously disgusted or pissed off about what I just experienced when dealing with a business and even mad at myself for having made the decision to give my business to a company. Home Depot in Payson I can honestly say falls into the category unfortunately and just flashing back to the previous visits starts to make me sweat and get tense because I have never seen a place ran so horribly in my life! They point in the direction of the item you're looking for instead of walking you to where it is and showing you (90% of the time it's the wrong location), they have NEVER gotten an online order right for myself or anyone in my family nor any friend of mine that goes there, and their phone skills are horrible. For example today they transferred me back to the tool rental 7 times and had me on hold for a total of 19 minutes just to tell me that their tool guy wasn't even there lol. To me thats absolutly just ridiculous and tells that they know about as much about what's going on in the store as they've shown me they know when I have went down to pick up an online order and they can't find it for 40 minutes and when they do and say that " you're all set" and i do a quick count to match everything on my order only to see that I'm not even close to being "all set" because they are literally missing over half my order. What happened to double checking the list and checking each thing off? I would have had to turn around and drive back over an hour if I hadn't checked everything and sadly none of the items I got had a quantity over 10 so they could have used their fingers to help them count if need be. Sucks that I'm to the point of being willing to drive over an hour down to the valley to give my business to Lowe's just to avoid the mess and headache I go through every time I have dealt with them. What makes it worse is I've always been a depot man all the way and use to enjoy just going there if even just to look around.

Last week I went to Home Depot in Payson to get 1/2 inch PVC fittings, they were so high I couldn't reach them. I went to a more friendly store. The general public should not have to reach and have an item possibly fall or fall down on their head.

Why are there THREE employees supervising the FOUR registers in SELF CHECKOUT? Even walmart gets away with one employee for six to eight registers.UPDATE: 23April2024, went through the SELF CHECKOUT and there were again, THREE employees standing there jabbering away.

They usually have just what I need, good prices as well. Wish there were more staff on the floor , at times you have to go all the way to the front and have them page staff for help.

Cole in the paint department is an awesome worker and was super helpful to my mother-in-law and I. Give that man a raise!! These are the types of people you need to hire more of! Patient, understanding and super knowledgeable on the products at Home Depot.

The people who work here are really helpful and most are willing to go above and beyond. The paint department can be a little slow but that is the way it goes in a small town. Jut have to plan to wait awhile! Every other thing is just great!

Friendly people, and one can usually find someone to help them. The garden shop is beautiful and that's what brought me here. There was also a spring savings coupon.They had everything I wanted except one item. And there was enough parking.

Home Depot is our personal go-to for home improvement needs. The employees are always helpful and friendly. I really appreciate the outside folks that help me load anything from pellets to wood to concrete, in wind, rain, or snow! Those folks are super heros!

We purchased a storm door. No one to help us so we loaded it. I had already looked on line, we knew what we wanted. Got to cashier and it was the wrong one. No one to help us so we hauledd it back and unloaded it. Found what we wanted. No one to help us so we loaded up the right one. Cashier was nice and apologetic there was no one to help us in the store. Then it was time to load it into our truck. No one to help us so we loaded it up.I am a local and know better to shop on a weekend. There is always a shortage of help.The products are great. Very short staffed, be mindful when you shop. I'm too old to be schlepping doors around.

I had to run home to get my coupon and Kelly (near self checkout) kept an eye on my cart until I returned. THEN Kelly escorted me to the service desk when the coupon did not reduce amount to be paid. Truly great customer from Kelly!

If you DIY, this is where you go! They always have what I need for my projects. I've rented tractors, drain cleaners, carpet cleaners, and pumps from the rental center and the service is great. We also spend lots of time in the garden center which has helped make our garden pretty amazing. Chris at customer service has helped me many times and is always friendly and professional.

I personally worked at a home Depot years ago. And every department, all 19 of them were well staffed. At least two employees were assigned per department. Now however, you're lucky to find anyone to help you even when scrounging through three or four departments looking for someone who represents the company. I would recommend downloading the home Depot app. Because you will rarely find someone to help you locate your part or department. The home Depot app completely blows away their staff and whatever help they may have offered you.

I have been to this Home Depot so often that it feels like a second home! The people at this store are extremely friendly and I must say, the customer service that is offered here is probably the best in Payson. I have never had a problem at this store and if there is even a slight issue, the staff are quick to fix it. Hands down, this is the best store in Payson!

I love home depot. They probably get half my pay check every time I get paid. Lol!For the most part the employees are always helpful and courteous.I love that I can bring my little dogs with me an they usually get lots of attention and even treats sometimes.Prices have gone up and up in recent years but are still usually less than other similar stores and I always find everything I need there.

Absolutely had it with retail stores and their lack of customer service. We spent over 100k in 18 months on a room addition and remodel. When we tried to return a lousy $400 in misc NEW things we were refused with the stupid excuse of "our 3rd party company that handles the returns has denied it, no reason given." I didn't buy it from your 3rd party, I bought it from you! We are soooo done. We didnt have a receipt but only wanted store credit. I'll drive a bit to Lowes, use the TWO other home improvement centers we have or buy online. We own many rentals and Home Depot just lost a 20+ year customer that has spent a lot of money. Done with this retailer who's easy out now is just saying they are sorry it's not our decision. We'll you hired the company, so it is your decision. Managers have NO authority anymore and can't override it!!

I've been tryin for days to buy a "Tuff shed" at Home depot in "Payson" AZ, but the salesmen "Duane Merrill" is not answering his phone or returning messages. All I want to do, is buy one and there is nobody in the store that can help me. I'm trying to find out who the manager is, so that perhaps they can help me, but that info. is very hard to find. I'm not happy.

Love going to this Payson store. I have not met one employee not willing to go out of their way to help you. Very knowledgeable and always available. You don't have to search for someone to assist you.

This store closes earlier than all the stores down in Phoenix and since I'm someone that would generally visit later at night this is not convenient for me.The employees here are as helpful as any hardware store employee in that they all seem to have a decent idea of projects that the store covers or they know who to point you to that might know more.
