Two visits both times, I’ve waited for someone to get off their cell phone to help. No one looks happy nor do you get greeted. Asked for crickets girl says how many, I asked for size options she pulls out two bins both full of dead crickets. Reptile owners are better off elsewhere. Hopefully management can fix this as this is a super convenient location. 5:20 visit on Monday 4/29/24.

Updated:I'm not sure what happened to this store but it has changed so much since I first left a reviewMy last visit to the store was very discouraging as the animals were not being taken care of. Even Basic proper husbandry was non existent.They even had a very sick Ball Python, who hadn't eaten in months, had tons of stuck shed even obstructing his vision and refused to let it go to a rescue to get help.Lucky for this snake an amazing rescue up North paid their $50.00 ransom on its life and another amazing human drove the snake 2 hours to get proper vet treatment.This plus my recent experiences have made me change my 5 star review and I will no longer support this business.You all should be ashamed neglecting creatures you have taken the responsibility to love and care for.Review below was from 4 years ago and obviously different staff.Such a great store with absolutly amazing customer service! My daughter loves coming here to see all the animals. Its just like the pet stores I remember as a child!We bought my daughter a dwarf Netherland bunny "Toby" from here and have been coming back ever since. He is the best, kindest little rabbit.They are knowledgeable and truley care about their animals!They went above and beyond when I was there again yesterday and I realised I hadnt yet left them a much deserved review!

Very cool place! So many unique animals at great prices. Adorable puppies and kittens. The staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend checking it out.

The only place I trust to pick up some healthy chicks. I’ve tried other places after going here and they’re horrible! The chicks would die 3 days after. Pratt’s Pets has the best baby chicks and the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly.

This is a decent pet supply store. They don't have a huge selection but they have the basics and the prices are lower than most other pet stores. The staff is usually friendly and helpful.

One of my favorite pet feed stores. Great selections on things. Clean store, great prices, can't go wrong here! It's my one stop shop for all my pets needs and I love how they are with the animals here. So adorable 😍

Clearly the owner of these stores has no regard for the health and environment of the animals. Will not give animals medical treatment AND will not surrender sickly animals to rescues that WILL give proper medical treatment and husbandry. It’s astonishing when you read all of the negative reviews over the years and the owner responds with “please email us at blah blah blah” but NOTHING HAS CHANGED. Not sure how this place still has 4.5 stars. Not a single animal in this store is properly taken care of and it doesn’t sound like the owner has any intention of changing that. Shut this place down or turn it into a place that doesn’t sell animals.

I just went here for the first time. Very nice selection and kind, friendly staff. They helped me pick a small bag of food for my finicky older cat. And I got cat litter too. Good news: my cat is munching on the new food now!! Yay. I found my new pet store!

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS. They neglect their animals and regard them as products, not living beings.According to the individuals who attempted to rescue and render aid, Pratt's Pets (or should we say "products") would not allow surrender or purchase of the distressed and dying ferret to AZ Ferret rescue. It was clear that the rescue had planned to pay for his vet care and get the help. The director of this registered non-profit rescue went to the shop in person to assist.The store had allegedly admitted that it was not pursuing seeking proper medical care due to the costs. It appears as if they would not even humanely euthanize this suffering ferret (likely in agonizing pain) just so they can collect the warranty or "product" insurance.

Best pet/ feed store it's kind of a mix between the two you can handle the animals they have a pet Banning chicken that just wanders around the store absolutely best place you could go on a Saturday afternoon besides the zoo and if you're looking for good deals their prices are better than PetSmart that's where we went right before we went to this pet store just can't say enough good things about this place it's a must go even if you just want to pet the bunnies

I would NOT buy dog food from here. Purchased my first bag of dog food the end of November. I started my dogs out slowly as they were switching to a new food. As we start adding more to their portions we noticed bugs crawling around in their bowl. We inspected their food and sure enough it was infested with small worm like bugs.I returned the bag and they assured me this wasn’t a common issue and that nutri source was a top brand. I ended up exchanging the bag for another of the same brand.I inspected it when I got home and yet again full of bugs.I returned the second bag. As I was waiting, the assistant manager informed me that the location where they get their food from stores the food outside and they have been having an issue with this.After 25 minutes of waiting I finally tell them that I have to get going. I sit there for another 10 minutes while they try to figure it the return.I can’t speak to their other products but I definitely would never purchase any type of animal food from here!

This pratts is my favorite! I live right down the road from another one and I would still rather drive out to this one! Just the other day I went in and got two chickens and a bunny rabbit. Jakob helped me with everything I needed and was very helpful and kind!

They have chickens, chinchillas, rabbits, certain types of lizards and snakes, and they also have tons of birds my favorite is the rooster that walks around like he’s a king of the freaking pet store. I did catch my son flipping him off though, and my son is only four years old. It cracked me up, why do you gotta do the bird like that though😂

I went in today and saw a little brown puppy all alone in a tiny little glass display. All that was in there was the bedding, a single blanket and a Water dispenser for a hamster. No dog should ever have to be left all alone with no toys or anything like this just so this store can profit.

Came here to get some cat food for my cat with dietary sensitivities. The selection was impressive for the size of the store. However, I was thoroughly saddened by the state of the animal enclosures. Several enclosures had absolutely zero toys/enrichment items. At least one tortoise had zero water in his tank. The water that was present in other enclosures looked like it had not been changed in days at least. The cats were on newspaper in their cage (not paper bedding like was argued in a reply to a similar review). I really wanted to find a new small business to support today, but was so appalled by the conditions these animals were in that I will not be returning.

Julie was so helpful I will definitely be coming back. It's nice to find a store where I can get things for my bearded dragon, rabbit, cat and dog all in One place. No more running to separate stores for everything. Great selection, friendly staff, clean store and had everything I needed and more.

There is a fluffy chicken and a cat that walks around the pet store . It's great. They have a good selection of animals and pet supplies . Nice people that work there too !

This place is a cute gem has alot of baby chick's and few new adoptions avalible and above basic feed needs. They have ferrets but ranging round 350 unfortunately covid drove those prices high....and a chicken roams the store free and lives there so don't fret.

When I was ready for a puppy I searched all over the Valley for the right dog. I looked at rescues, breeders and even Craigslist (scary). So don't judge, I have rescued many pets from shelters as well. After getting total sticker shock at the Mall, I decided to go into Pratt's Pets. What a cool "old school" pet store-with actual pets you can hold and meet!I found my perfect fur baby here. You can tell the staff cares deeply for the animals. Anyone who says their puppies come from puppy mills has not done their research. My sweet little Clara Belle is AKC registered with a breeder I was able to research. All checks out! Of course an AKC pure-bred dog is not cheap but Pratts beats the price at the mall stores and breeders by more than half (for a mix breed!).When I brought Claire home it was obvious she was socialized, puppy pad trained and had no problems with being groomed and bathed. I am so glad I found my special little girl at a local business right up the street. We stop by to say HI and buy food and supplies.PS-I was not familiar with Shih Tzu before but this turned out to be the perfect breed for my small apartment life. (I recommend doing your homework)

Sure I will.So your store closes at six, as much as that's an inconvenience that isn't the problem. Some people get out of work at five and drive from quiet a distance in order to remain a loyal customers. I am one of those people, my phone said it was 5:59 when I got there but it could have turned 6:00 by the time I got half way from my car to the door and as I'm walking up they decide to turn off the open sign. True they are in all their right, just seems like it would be courteous to look out for a customer.
