I brought my dog here for grooming and I am very happy with the groom. I moved from Texas and was having a hard time finding a great grooming for my sweet girl dolly. The customer service here was amazing from the moment I stepped in Alison at the front was very helpful with buying food as well. When I came in they went over everything with me that would be done and when I went for pick up I was very very satisfied with the groom dolly looked amazing. She was so happy this will be a second home for us. Thank you so much barking dogs. If I could give more stars I would.

I took my shy adopted dog, Happy, there for his first ever grooming. The staff were all amazing. Very gentle and patient with Happy and with me :-)Tianna, our groomer, did an exceptional job!!

I came in 4/19 at 1 pm after scheduling an appointment for my dogs to be groomed here. We have had a positive experience before, but I think this time was not as positive. Both of these sweet girls are gentle, but when we got them back after 2 hours, we noticed that their haircut was uneven, with some parts not touched or barely touched and Java (the brown one) being timid. We were told that Java was acting aggressive toward the groomer (I don’t remember the name of the groomer at the moment) and that Java tried to bite her. Leas (white one) grooming was also uneven with her muzzle hair being at slightly different lengths and her ears uneven. Java is not as social as she was before the appointment and hides away from any of our other dogs. I don’t know what happened but it’s concerning

This place is great! My sweet girl has never been this clean. The staff is so helpful and friendly. Every thing you need is within reach and the soap sprayer is so easy and convenient. Definitely buy the hot oil treatment, it's totally worth it. I will be back soon!

I have been coming to Barking dogs for about 2 years (between Gilbert and Mesa location) and now refuse to come back. FIRST ISSUE: I first made my appointment with the same groomer who did it the previous times and without any notice they switched groomers on me and did not communicate or give me any notice that she had left barking dogs- I booked a month in advance. SECOND ISSUE: My sweet puppy dog got the most horrendous haircut. They carved out his toes and then left a ledge on his feet. 3 days later we found 4 ticks on his ear - My dog is an apartment dog and does not spend much time outside in the grass especially with the holidays happening and the cold weather he literally only went outside to go to the bathroom. & the complex we live in treats their grass regularly for ticks. With the holidays happening I didn’t have a chance to contact them until a few days later. After waiting for a manager to reach back out to me, the only solution they would give me was to fix his feet and they were weary about doing that because it was almost a week later. When I asked for a refund they refused and said only after they fixed the haircut could we then discuss a refund. I didn’t want to bring him back in in fear that he might get ticks again. I’m absolutely disappointed by the customer service and care at which they handled my dog. Do not use barking dogs and their services.

Today was out first time using the dog self wash! It was a fun experience, my fur baby was lil nervous but that was expected. I love the options on shampoos, the water temp was perfect! There were different brushes that were available. Thank you for a fun experience! We will definitely use it again in the future!

They only have 2 wash places so we had to wait. $18 bucks I thought was high for water. But all soap brushes and blow dry and a even a towel was included. We got nails trimmed for $10 and a $5 de shed solution which was really cool. Oh and free coffee

You have priced out your customer here. Your prices were already high, but $90 for a small dog haircut is ridiculous! No I don’t want to leave a tip. I never did, at the price they charge tipping should not be a question, they should be paying their employees sufficiently. I’ll find another option. Not pleased at all.

Great place, you don't need to bring anything but your dog. They also have all types of accessories for your furry friends. Very polite and friendly staff. I had a 90lb Airedale and had no problem bathing him, pretty busy with a lot of returning customers.

So I had an appointment for earlier in the day and called to have it rescheduled for later in the afternoon. Before I brought my dog in I called ahead of time and informed them I was 15 mins. away so to make sure they could still take him and they told me to go ahead and bring him in. Once I got there nobody could recall who I talked to and nobody relayed the message because they said they had a shift change. So I was stuck there arguing with two females who increasingly irritated me with excuses. I asked for the supervisor and they told me Veronica would be in in the morning and that no I could not have her number and if I wanted to complain I had to call back in the AM. Needless to say I was pretty mad when I left. Poor customer service!UPDATED RESPONSE:Thank you for taking zero responsibility. Everyone go look at the other reviews and understand who you are leaving your loved one with. This place is full of excuses and loves to point fingers back at every negative review rather than taking responsibility for their poor service. I just left this review and you weren't there and there's no way you saw any camera footage, but if you had you would have seen your employees gathering around me and arguing. You really think anyone is going to look at this as anything other than you doing damage control? Everything you are saying is hearsay from your juvenile employees who took zero responsibility. Please go look at the other responses from the other negative reviews and you will see a pattern. If a customer was disappointed then they blame the dogs attitude or the owner.ADDITIONAL UPDATE:So now the owner decided to call and bargin to get this situation resolved and to get me to remove my review. No this review will stay up and next time apologize for your incompetent employees instead of throwing allegations out there about myself when you weren'teven present. Friendly staff. Great self wash stations. The only recommendation is to keep the front doors closed. I know it's nice in Phoenix in December, but if a dog was to get loose and run out the ending could be tragic.

I hesitated on writing a review but this is my first time experience with baking dogs ( Mesa ) .I went in and checked my dog in, I was told there will be a 45 minute wait. I asked if it was okay to wait in my car. The lady said “ of course, what’s your name and what car is yours “ wrote down all the information on a note and I left. I saw people leaving and a few enter and thought maybe it’s for food or other services but saw them walk to the back around at self wash. I was confused on why no one has came to me. It was around the 20 mins mark. About an hour later I finally decided to ask about the waiting time and none of the girls had a clue what I was talking about. I wasted so much of my time because they don’t have responsible employees who cannot communicate with each other. For me personally, I rate this experience a 1/5.

Staff is very friendly and helpful but chose to use a self groom location since I don’t have much equipment at home while pet sitting, however probably wouldn’t use this location again or recommend. For $18 I got soapy water. There is no lather or clean feeling with some suds in the water and there is no additional soap available. I basically rinsed him down. I wanted to trim his nails and clean up his fluffy face but no trimmers or scissors. Just a towel and brush. For just the water and the dry I would do it at home and save $20 moving forward. Plus they wanted a clean up tip which I left since I did use the hose I suppose. My dog loves the puppy cake pops and I could see this being nice for maybe older dogs you wouldn’t want to go to the groomer or to save the mess at home but if you’re gona spend money just take them to the groomer.

Awesome place! Very well organized and clean. They have a great selection of clothes. Canada pooch is amazing quality and has sizes that fit my 5lb dog to my 65lb dog. They have a dehydrated chew bar and a lot of hard chews for power chewers. They also have weruva wet dog food which is hard to find in stores. Attached is a pic of one the sweaters I just bought :) if you are in the area you should definitely stop by

Had my dog groomed a few months ago - could not have been happier with the result. Took my dog again recently and was shocked at the uneven chop job that was done. Furthermore, I don't like the fact the one is asked to pay and decide on a tip before they bring the dog out and the owner can see the result. I considered calling for a refund but I honestly don't like the contention and singling out a groomer as this is their livelihood. Lesson learned. Taking my business elsewhere. Consistency is vital.**Response to owner's response - first I'm hearing about how difficult the dog was, sounds like an excuse. Don't ask for tips until people can see the final product. Buyer beware....

I was grooming my poodle for a while but realized I need to get her groomed professionally. Barking Dogs is very close to where I live, and when we came in we were greeted and felt very welcomed, they helped us pick the right haircut for our 5 lb toy poodle and made us feel at ease to leave her with them. When we went to pick her up she was happy and looked so cute!! We have brought our Japanese chin after that and same awesome experience! Definitely recommend this groomer to whoever wants to feel reassured their dog is good hands!

I don't know why I was intimidated to go in here. Everyone was so nice and extremely helpful.We used the self wash station and the de-shedding brushes. It went really well. They provide you with everything you need. The soap come right out of the hose! I scheduled an appointment with their groomers for next month for our dog and we will definitely be bringing her here more often for the self wash.

This was a gem of a find! The receptionist was friendly, quiet and caring. We only waited 15 minutes to get into the self service bath because of one person restrictions on social distancing. They ran me through their equipment because it was my first time visiting and didn't push services but went with a hot oil treatment anyways. For $20, my dog got a bath and rinse, a blow dry and a caddy of brushes. Dog also appreciated the free baggie of treats! Just an overall wonderful and calm experience. Will take my dog here over and over again!

I just visited Barking Dogs for the first time today and was very pleased. My pup Nova has very high anxiety and probably drove the crew nuts but they did such a good job on her grooming! I plan on bringing her back (sorry guys haha) anytime she needs some tlc. I had Taylor as a groomer but the whole staff was very friendly!I also brought in my dog Silas who has a very aggressive reaction to getting his nails trimmed. Although Lindsay attempted, she could not trim his nails and I respected that she knew his and her limits. They really care about how the dogs feel and if it is too much for their little hearts to handle.

I don't normally do reviews, but this place was perfect for washing my dog and being able to dry him properly. The staff was very helpful and nice even though I had a lot of questions and had to be shown how to use the dryer. They provided a bunch of brushes and tools too even though I brought my own. I never expected so much. Also I have a husky. His undercoat came out like a hair blizzard so I made sure to leave a tip for whoever had to vacuum after me.

How totally cool is this place, you can just walk right in and wash your dog they've got detanglers, perfumes, this special stuff that gets the gunk out of the dog's eyes and doesn't hurt them at all perfect.I really liked the fact that I could just walk in and they provided everything Combs towels shampoo conditioners everything basically everything you need.Staff here with super sweet and friendly and made me and my little pup feel at home.Also zero responsibility for cleanup is kind of fun.Don't forget to register so that your 9th bath is free...
