We love Bark Ave Pet Supply! We LOVE the staff! They are friendly, knowledgeable and extremely attentive. We love the selection and variety of snacks, food, toys and supplements. We love that four- leggeds are always welcome and greeted with treats and attention. We love that they host fun events throughout the year- customer appreciation, egg hunts, costume parties between the two locations. And finally we love that we can support a local small business (and donate to local shelters).Our recent visit, I had some questions about switching food and exploring a new hip/joint supplement. While I was talking with one staff member, another was giving my girl a bunch of love (and treats)!At the end of our shopping trip, we walked out with what exactly what my girls needed (and a little extra- pup cakes for the win)!Thank you Bark Ave Pet Supply! You’re our favorite pet place to shop!

Great selection of frozen food, Fromm and Stella and Chewy. Lacked basics like dog bowls and matts. We weren't greeted or addressed until we checked out, even passing by an employee scanning product. Didn't feel very welcomed at all.

Great pet supply store! The employee was very helpful, polite and professional. I was looking specifically for primal raw dog food. Bark Avenue had a large selection of raw food to choose from. They also have a good selection of frozen bones and treats and VE treats.They also have the Primal frequent buyer program. When you buy 12, the next 1 is free ... and they keep track of it for you. No more trying to remember a punch card everytime.I definitely recommend this store and will be a returning customer.

Very unique products for dogs and cats! Wonderful, helpful staff. Definitely not a run of the mill pet supply store. I found things in this I've never seen anywhere before. Recommend highly.

Very open and easy to browse store. Excellent selection of pre-made frozen raw dog food, and it also looked like they have a good selection of kibble. A much higher quality of foods than you will find at a big box or grocery story. Friendly staff and I will be back.

My husband and I love Bark Avenue Pet Supply. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and helpful. They also always have the dog food we need in stock.(Picture not taken in store but my pups are happy to have their favorite food.)

Great little shoppe in Mesa, they carry a lot boutique pet items such as specialty vitamins and food choices as well as pet clothing and toys. I went to pick up dog socks because they were recommended to me by a big box pet store that did not carry any.

One of the best local pet food shops in the Valley. We go there specifically for raw diet foods for our Savannah Cats. Friendly staff who are actually helpful and knowledgeable about their stock. Our kitties love Radcat and never would have tried it without Bark Avenue.

They were professional, courteous and compassionate. We were there to say goodbye to our lovely and sweet Callie. They were so helpful and understanding. Even though we were one of the last appointments of the day They told us to take as long as we needed, they did not rush us at all. They were very compassionate.

I needed info on dog food for a senior dog for tummy issues. Bark Avenue gave me samples of food, advice on what brands were suited to my dog, and a supplement to aid in transitioning him to a new food. Great customer service and care.

Went to the Mesa, AZ location for some dog food & the staff was very helpful with suggestions in lieu of what I was planning on buying. I use the "Dog Food Advisor" list as my guide & while Bark Ave carries some of the brands referenced they don't carry all. However, you'll find a better selection overall vs Pet Planet. In my opinion.

This is a very nice store! Extremely neat and clean and the staff is out of this world professional, friendly and helpful. My picky miniature Dachshunds love the Stella & Chewy brand of dog food! My neighbor drives 65 miles one way all the time to get this great food for her two German Shepherds. Now I’m riding along time get the same thing for my dogs.

The following was sent to the owner of Bark Avenue along with an Excel spreadsheet of the products purchased along with the various dates that they were picked up from the store and what was still pending pick-up. I NEVER received a response from Dr. Ainsworth nor any reply from Bark Avenue. It saddens me and, at the same time, angers me that this occurred.Dear Dr. Ryan Ainsworth:I can remember how happy I was when I first started going to and purchasing from your Pet Supply store. The staff was friendly, helpful, and quite knowledgeable. The variety of products available was amazing. I was very grateful when you would have very large discounts and, at times, your staff was kind enough to hold the frozen food for me while I made room in the freezers.Unfortunately, the last few experiences this year have been, least to say, frustrating. Here are a few things that have occurred: (1) having placed an order and having been informed that it was ready to pick up, arriving only to find that which was supposedly put aside for me was not available and then having to purchase the same product in a smaller bag just to get by until the original product arrived, (2) having placed multiple orders on line on various occasions, and receiving a call that the product was not available and, therefore, I needed to make a substitute last minute purchase, (3) having been called to pick up an online purchase which had already been picked up, (4) having notified certain staff that I was going to pick up frozen products that I had purchased and were being held for me [again, for which I have been VERY grateful] and being charged again for the products, (5) quite a few of my last purchases there (the Stella and Chewy, Primal and Instinct frozen patties) must have thawed out at some point before my purchasing them and were re-frozen (they were stuck together and oxidized-brown instead of the bright red color that they used to be). For that reason, I started ordering the OC Raw which were in MUCH better condition when I opened them. And, by-the-way, I informed your staff of this on more than one occasion and the problem persisted.I happen to live 30 miles away from your store, but I continued to be a loyal customer for my past two dogs as well as my present one because I prefer supporting small businesses as opposed to large corporations and, especially, a small business that was exceptional on many levels at one time. I, myself, am a small business owner. I am lucky to have a friend that lives less than a mile from you (who, in fact, told me about your establishment many years ago) who has been kind enough to pick up many of my orders.After having sent two emails to Mr. Ben Dillon concerning the pending products for which I had already paid (please see attached) and not having had any response, I decided to do a little research and I have found another store much closer to my home. Another small business that I am happy to support. Whatever changes in staff and administration that has occurred over the past year and, possibly, due to the pandemic, has left my dear friend that recommended your business, and me, very disappointed with our interactions with your staff as well as the many mistakes made on their part.As the owner, I would hope that you would be happy to hear from a customer about his or her experiences and grievances to possibly assist you in making appropriate changes for existing customers. I have deleted my past reviews of Bark Avenue and now, I do not plan on rewriting an honest review until I have pondered this further. I am also hoping that I am given some sort of compensation for the products that still have not been picked up. Even though I had e-mailed Mr. Dillon that I was going to pick them up, each time that I went there they were not released to me without paying for them. I am also hoping that, as the owner of Bark Avenue, you will have the courtesy of a quick and honest response to this letter along with the appropriate refund or store credit.Sincerely,
