Such a great variety! It’s so cool too just visit all the reptiles. The staff are friendly and really compassionate about their animals. They have the coolest displays. I really loved that the place was organized, it did not have a bad odor, and it was spacious to get around. When entering be sure to read the signs. For example, do not tap the glass or nod your head at different animals. Be respectful. I would stay most of the place is handicap accessible but there are some aisle that are smaller. The prices are great! Super cool place!

My son has been saving up for a bearded dragon, and we made the mistake of going to petsmart (don’t judge me we’re new to this) we learned quickly that something wasn’t right so we returned him and came to the Arizona reptile center in Mesa and bought a female bearded dragon that’s almost 6 months old. It’s only been a day but the difference is huge! The temperament and personality is exactly what we were hoping for and she has no problems eating all of her bugs and greens, and of course she is beautiful! He gave us lots of advice as well and was very nice and professional saying if I have any questions I can call anytime. I definitely recommend this company and it’s worth paying a little more for quality!I should also mention we checked out a reptile company in Apache junction whose prices were double what Arizona reptile center is, so they have very fair prices!

My wife went to this store on Friday. We went back on Sunday. Both times we were helped by Jake the manager who did an unbelievable job catering to my 20+ questions and showing us all of the amazing bearded dragons they had you couldn’t come across a nicer guy who honestly just wants to have good homes for these pets along with making sure anybody who wants to you here forever home has all the questions they have answered. Bearded dragons they have on hand are fire.

When I visited this Thursday I was disgusted to see that nearly every single animal in this store was being severely neglected. Every water bowl I saw was either completely dry, or had a small amount of water filled with dead crickets. Snakes were curled up in their bowls desperate for water, soil was dry in every enclosure, all of the crickets were clearly rotting for days, and there was a layer of mold growing in the frog tank. No water bowls can evaporate quickly enough for this to be excusable as a few undone chores, this is animal cruelty. The man working did not acknowledge our presence, and the store was dead silent, dark and unwelcoming. I hope my review will help these animals get the care they deserve, but I will never support a place like this.

Been coming here since I was 11 yrs old , inspired me in everyway . The world has changed and more competition & raise of inflation/life has made it difficult but I pray they don't get burnt out . Without blue (cuban rock iguana ambassador) I would have never got one myself now I have my bestfriend for life . Please support and don't judge just be open minded and tell the staff how you feel about the environment or animals . Please reptile center keep going try harder and Goodluck. Love you all

Best reptile shop in the valley. The staff is awesome and all the animals are healthy, including the breeders in the back. I have purchased multiple reptiles from them over the years and all have been beautiful and well-socialized. They also have a great selection of feeder insects and rodents to keep your pets well fed and healthy.

I am beyond impressed with my experience! The store was organized, clean, the reptiles were all healthy, and the staff were super helpful and friendly. I went in to buy a baby bearded dragon, they all looked healthy and active which were good signs. I was looking for a red one and they some! They even let me see the parents of the babies! (The father was the orange/red one and the mother is the yellow) The babies were all in shed but the guy helped me pick out one that would have a lot of colors from what it looked like under its shedding skin. They were all $50 when the red ones are originally $300+ they definitely deliver the "More for less". They even had a good packaging and to even top that off, among my purchase they even let me have free crickets for purchasing the dragon! This place is so awesome, I will definitely let everyone know about this place and will most likely come back to this place!

We were just looking around and holding some of the snakes. ARC has an amazing staff that was ready to help as soon a we walked in. I love the variety and amount of snakes that they have. It was so fun to go to on a Friday afternoon.

Claims that all cash prices are 15% off but then when you go to checkout they will tell you that it’s not for feeders. Told me that it was on the sign. I took a picture to prove it wasn’t on the sign.The animals are in tanks too small for them. The place has a horrible smell and the only reason we go is because they have live smaller rats. We will be looking for a new place

They were wonderful and answered all of my excited 4 year olds questions. The animals looked happy, cages clean, staff was really friendly. My son and I stayed for over an hour, and the staff were so kind and understanding of my son's obsession. 😅 really loved it there.

I have been coming here every 2-3 months for about 6 years. I feel the store doesn't have the same level of upkeep as it used to. If you had asked me in the first 4 years, it would have been an easy 5 stars. However, the care for store cleanliness and stock has really gone down in the last year, maybe a little more. I used to enjoy my trips to the store, but now the smell is overbearing and cobwebs with living wild spiders (like common house spiders, not the pet kind) cover the merchandise. The staff are still helpful and have always been kind to me, so that is not an issue. It definitely doesn't deserve the 1 star ratings I have seen recently, but I could not honestly give a 4 or 5 anymore.

Arizona Reptile Center is my favorite place to get food or anything special for my baby boy. Staff are informative, friendly and very helpful. They have beautiful reptiles and a great selection of supplies. My beardie loves when I pick up all his favorite worms. This is the best place I've been to for all my reptile needs.

We love ARC! I get my frozen feeder mice & rats for my ball pythons here. Kyle even took us back to see the “parents” of the baby beardie my husband got in January! It’s a bit of a drive for us, but the customer service is worth it!

Very friendly staff and totally reasonable prices with nice deals. Skip the big pet chains and get your reptile from experienced locals. Attached a photo of the kit we got once set up at home.

I dont want to sound rude but the smell of this place is unbearable. I brought my brother with and he couldn't even go into the store it smelled of ammonia so bad. There wasn't much stock either, bunch of empty enclosures. If you can't even upkeep your store how do we expect you to be able to upkeep with the animals? The employees were pretty unknowing as well & when talking with them couldn't even maintain fruit fly cultures. I dont recommend anyone go here, they shouldn't be in business with these practices.

I really love this place! I think this is the best reptile store in Arizona because the staff is amazing, they take amazing care of their animals, everyone there is very educated and knows everything about every reptile at the store. There is also a very wide arrange of reptiles there from a Savannah monitor, to a giant iguana, and even a Burmese Python that is literally (and I mean actually) the biggest one in Arizona! Oh and i forgot, the amount of bearded dragons they have is amazingly higher than any other reptile store. Also, not only do they have a lot of reptiles, but these guys actually keep really good care of them as well, like it's insane how well housed they are and how well they are fed. I actually bought a Sinaloan milk snake there today, and the guy I talked to went through with me and actually took the time to tell me everything important I should know about the milk snake I was getting, and even after i got it they said i could call at any time I wanted if I had any questions. Also, they carry all sorts of insects as well, not just feeding insects (all though they carry pretty much every feeder insect and rodent you could ever imagine) but actual pet insects like a variety of Tarantulas and even scorpions! This place is amazing and I could go on for hours on how great this place really is. All I'm saying is that I've been in a few places in the Phoenix area and if you need anything, go to this place 100% :-)

If you need reptile services and info, this is 1000% the place to go! I recently tried to rescue 2 snakes, today I realized I was out of my element when one of them got loose from their tank. I called every rescue place imaginable and no one would answer or help us same day. These guy answered their phone and was soo quick to respond to my emergency. They don't even do rescues, but they were here in minutes and very professional. True heroes haha. I'm just happy to know that the snake is in good hands now.
