Let us check in late, we got the best tent spot! And showers were awesome. Free coffee in the morning, AND they had the coolest dogs around. Super cool place. Wish I could give 20 stars!Noteworthy details: The camp guy gave us tips for all the coolest hidden grand canyon views.

My partner and I stayed in a cute room ("Majestic") in the mini motel. The room was not as 'mini' as expected honestly, which was nice. Easy to maneuver - even during long cold nights, but the heating kept us warm. Travelers, as always, make sure you have to he appropriate map and directions and communications available *offline* so you are not relying on cell service!Location was great. At night, just the sound of animals and clear views of the stars. Drive east for 45 min and you have easy access to Grand Canyon West via a drive covered in Joshua trees (far more than I've ever seen at Joshua Tree NP!). Go north 30 min and you can descend down to the Colorado River. Go west 60-90 min and you can do some great hiking along US93 (I recommend the Liberty Bell Arch if you have the time) before you hit the Hoover Dam. Great jumping off point for you adventures! (My review where I booked was accidentally submitted with uneditable phone typos, so I am writing a clearer version here).

My bestie and I stayed in the Desert Rose which is one of the mini motel glampers available through Airbnb. We stayed here for 2 nights while we went to Grand Canyon West, and Willow Beach to paddle board. It was very clean, and peaceful, with cute western décor through the campsite. They offer free coffee in the morning at the mini motel office, and our glamper had a Keurig with a couple complimentary k-cups. Our glamper was perfect for a little girls retreat, and very comfortable to stay in. The only negative was the Hualapai Creek Dr which you have to take to get to the campsite is a little rough to drive down if you’re coming from Pierce Ferry Rd, but we learned how to get around it driving in the other direction. The campground is also very close to the gas station, family dollar, and the restaurant in town.Rooms: Our glamper was the cutest place I think I’ve ever stayed, the AC was so strong we never put it above low in 90-100 degree because we honestly got chilled with it being low sometimes which is a good thing, we had a full kitchen to use if we wanted to, and a bathroom with a shower stall, toilet, it’s own sink, and a full length mirror which is always a plus.Nearby activities: 45 minutes from Grand Canyon West, 1 hour from Willow Beach & KingmanSafety: Not a lot going on in this town. Definitely the kind of place you feel like you could leave your doors unlocked at night.Walkability: Very slow small town, and the campsite is really close to the few businesses in town so it is very easy to walk somewhere if you want. It’s a 20 minute walk to the restaurant, and the gas station and family dollar are even closer.Food & drinks: Great restaurant just up the road that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They also double as a cafe and have great lattes.

If you are looking for a desert get away this is the place! You can tell that the owners care for this hotel and have taken strides to make it inviting. We rented one of the RVs and found it in good condition with beautiful views. However, the reason for 4 stars is that the Rv could have definitely been cleaned better, and we had issues finding the breaker box when a breaker flipped. Despite this, I am leaving 4 stars, because it is clear that the Camp owners, as well as the town, are trying to make the area welcoming to tourists. The Grand Canyon West is very close and well worth the visit. Lake Mead is very close as well, and offers stunning views of the lake. I have no doubt we will be back, and hope that Happy Trails Campground will keep getting better!

We had a great time at happy trails. The RV we stayed in was very well equipped with everything we needed including skillets and cookie sheets. Clean comfortable bedding. We enjoyed the bbq and outdoor fire pit. Overall a great glamping experience.Nearby activities: Only 20 minutes to the lake

We stayed at the happy trails for a month and it was so amazing and relaxing, we decided to stay another month! It's quiet, very beautiful and well maintained. The owners are so accommodating and got back via text very quickly with any questions we had. The small town is filled with the nicest people we will definitely be back, thank you Meadview for a great time!

We had an absolutely amazing time! My husband and I decided to stay in their Desert Rose Glamper and it was the CUTEST thing ever. I love how every room is a different theme, it makes it so there's something for everyone! The owner and other employees were so sweet and kind! If we had any questions, they'd help us in anyway they could! We highly recommend this place to anyone! Definitely will be back soon!

We really enjoyed our stay here and wish we could have stayed longer. Close to grand canyon and outdoor activities, had a real cool vibe and there were people hanging out together outside barbecuing and chilling. Still had a private room and uninterrupted rest 🖤Rooms: Clean rooms with vintage feelNearby activities: Grand canyon Skywalk and eagle point, Joshua tree national Park, and there were horse and hiking trails in the vicinitySafety: Felt very much like little community and homeyFood & drinks: There was an eatery on location to order from.

We initially booked one night in one of the glampers (“the farmhouse”) on a whim because we wanted to check out the Grand Canyon and it was the best location for camping near the west rim. We ended up staying for three additional nights because we loved it so much! Hans, Dave and Basil were absolutely wonderful hosts! From taking us out to an amazing lookout point (that honestly competes with the actual Grand Canyon attraction!) to swimming in the South Cove at Lake Mead, good times were endless at Happy Trails. Just prepare to be in the desert, it’s hot but also invigorating once you adjust. There is no way to put into words how amazing our experience was! Great place for family time, to escape the city and be around genuine and kind people, who care. We left with full hearts, great experiences, and even new friends we hope to have for a lifetime. Thanks for the great time Happy Trails!

Such a nice get away ☺️ Coffee brewed fresh in the morning and a campfire going was relaxing. Appreciated the staff, the man who we talked with was very kind and helpful. Wish I could figure out how to add photos, very cute modeled trailers with everything provided; dishes, soap, towels, blankets, shampoo, ECT. That made it simple traveling for us.

Since you asked nicely, here goes my experience. The "campground" area was super rocky and tore holes in my brand new tent. I also ended up bending 3 of my stakes trying to pitch the brand new tent due to the ground being so hard and rocky. We couldn't use the picnic table due to it being infested with black widows, but sitting in our own camping chairs weren't better due to the dozens of harvester ants crawling up our legs and biting us causing extreme discomfort. No place to light a fire as you would when you traditionally camp so the area was poorly lit by our camping lantern, but it was just enough to avoid the tarantula bigger than my hand coming straight across our campsite while we tried to eat. We packed up and slept in our car in a highly lit gas station parking lot that night. A gentlemen walked past us several times, I assume he was the owner, but we had no interactions with him so I can't comment on his service. Maybe the RVs and motel are better, but the "campground" portion was a disappointment to us. Thank you.

Sorry, but I just can't give this campground a higher rating. Positives - we were met by the gentleman who runs the place. He was very nice and we had a good conversation. The site was clearly marked, level enough, and all the hookups worked fine. The location was about 45 minutes from the Grand Canyon Skywalk/ziplining (that's why I chose this one). Best part was after dark, my son and I went outside and star gazed. It was absolutely amazing, we saw more stars than we've ever experienced before. Problems - this campground is hard to get to with very, very rough and rocky roads. There's just nothing to do, especially when we got there it was 104 degrees. What could you possibly do at that temperature? No pool, game room, or any amenity that would be utilized when the weather is this hot. Our only option was to stay in the motorhome and play some games and get on the Internet (with our hotspot - as the campground's wifi is really non-existent). Our stay worked, just not sure I'd return. It would be worth driving a little farther, but staying at a place with some amenities.

What an excellent place! We left for fulltime travel a month ago and had many 1-2 day stays at parks from PA to AZ on the way and this has been our favorite. Meadview is amazing — the sunsets reflecting over Grand Wash cliffs are like nothing else — and the campground is adorable and beautifully maintained. Very quiet, everyone is super nice, staff is excellent, morning coffee is a lifesaver. The spaces are huge. We bought land up the road and plan to make this our go-to spot as we repeatedly visit the area to decide what we want to do with the land. Couldn’t ask for a cuter campground.

We booked this room to get out of Vegas for a few days and see the Grand Canyon, it’s just about a two hour drive from the city & I am so glad that we made the trek out there!! The owner and his granddaughter did not make us feel like guests, but like family. I don’t think I’ve ever met such kind and genuine people. We spent the evening with the other guests and staff and enjoyed drinks, corn hole and bbq and we spent the whole night hanging out and watching the stars. It was a very short trip but I have no doubt that we’ll be back to stay longer!! Thank you so much!

We loved this campground!! Super friendly staff that made us feel right at home. Clean bathrooms and grounds. Beautiful view and attractive landscape beds and decor. Don't be deterred by the road in, it's a little rough but well worth the effort. Excellent website providing great details of their amenities, local activities and proximity to closest town.Highly recommend...5 star

I have NEVER taken the time to write a bad review about anything but this experience has been so alarming that I feel as though other people should be warned! SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!! DISRESPECTFUL STAFF!!! They just want your money, they do not care about their guests!!! Would rather loose the money than to stay where my family doesn’t feel safe nor welcomed. If I could rate 0 I would.Edit: Bless your heart honey, I had no idea how stressful it’s been keeping up with all these reviews! It must be a full-time job trying to validate YOU’RE side of every situation and invalidating your guests.Psa: I did not harass this woman EVER, if asking a question is called “harassment” I’ve been living under a rock my whole life! In fact, you got very rude and disrespectful with me multiple times during our phone call and it wasn’t till after you had cut me off to the point of which I couldn’t speak, raised your voice at me, and completely ignored what I was saying the whole time that I finally ended up having an attitude towards the end. So I apologize on my behalf, however I think you need to see a specialist for that memory loss girl! You forgot the whole part of the conversation where your “official policy” is that if you can’t contact the office within 24 hours of your visit that you in fact keep ALL of the money spent and not just a part of it. But it’s the policy, so I won’t question it. It just gives off SCAM vibes, just my opinion! Just thought your future guests should know about this policy of yours <3

Such a great place and the owners/staff are very friendly! We ended up booking last minute and a few minutes prior to closing and the person we spoke to on the phone was so helpful to get the camp spot booked and providing directions. Bathrooms are very clean and they have a cute little shop with complimentary coffee in the mornings and additional items for purchase. Although we found this place on a whim for a quick stay, we will definitely plan another trip in the future.

My husband and I had the best stay at Happy Trails. It is a desert gem surrounded by breathtaking nature. You don't have to leave camp to enjoy the views but if you do end up venturing 1 mile down the road you will come to beautiful vistas at every turn. We had 1 night in a lovingly restored "Glamper". It was very comfortable. There was a DVD player for us to use (selection of DVDS in the adorable office) but we opted to watch the sky with the most stars we've ever seen. In the morning we enjoyed complimentary coffee by the communal firepit with good company. We even abandoned our plans to head back towards Vegas and instead spent the morning on an adventure! We went for a ride with our hosts in their off-road vehicle to explore the wash trail. It was the best decision of our entire trip. The owners of Happy Trails have truly created a unique place for their guests to forget about their worries and live a little. We highly recommend it. Thank you for the memories and genuine hospitality. We look forward to our next visit.

Happy Trails is an amazing, special place. The owners are warm and welcoming... and oh so much fun! We spent 6 weeks at Happy Trails and literally cried when it was time for us to leave. It truly became home. The campground sits in front of the Grand Wash Cliffs with amazing views, especially at sunset as the cliffs and sky burst into color. Some of our best evenings were spent chatting around the campfire and playing cornhole. There are hundreds of miles of off-road trails and easy access to Lake Mead nearby so bring your toys! The campground is clean, well maintained and with more amenities than we ever needed. I could not recommend Happy Trails more. We will most certainly return.

This park is run by some of the nicest people around and is affordably priced. The road leading to the camp is unpaved, but easy to travel. We stayed three days and two nights. My first experience with camping. I loved it! The camp is very nice and clean with everything needed in a RV resort. There is a nice large area between each site with trees, desert plants and picnic benches. It's extremely quite, low traffic and the road was great for running, walking and walking the dogs. The Park WIFI is also good, but we were quite a distance away so we weren't able to connect. It has decent cable TV and easy satellite access. Our Verizon cell phone service worked perfectly as well as our Verizon Hot Spot which we used to view our home Dish service. We had no problems with bugs. The sunrises and sunsets were beautiful. And where we were parked, it gave us a magnificent view of the mountains, landscape of the desert and the beauty of nature. We watched and listened to the quails and watched their travels from one side of the road to the other. Can't wait to do it again. I loved it!

Traveling the country alone from Ohio in 2020 and stumbled upon a man in Florida who I'm thinking is "the one". He flew out to Vegas in order to travel with me for a few days and wanted to see the canyon because he's never been west. I've been out here a few times and did the Skywalk, so I knew he would want to see that. Booked a night at Happy Trails Campground and Mini Motel and I couldn't be happier with what we experienced here.Arrived around 8pm so the entire area was dark, but the campground was lit and easy to follow the road. This is definitely remote, but there is a pretty brand new gas station just up the road. Samantha had helpfully sent a text earlier in the afternoon explaining parking, access to the room, wifi and morning coffee. We stayed in Room #4. The room is one of four that have been created within what we found out is an original construction trailer from building Route 66. A really great example of re-purposing equipment. The room itself was cozy, and not at all for more than two people. The heater was turned on so the room was toasty upon arrival which was thoughtful. We actually prefer it colder,so turned that off and AC on. Both worked great and we did not find any of the complaints that others have mentioned with odors (very clean) nor noise from the AC (slept great). The queen bed was comfy and plenty of pillow options. Very nice water pressure AND hot water for two full showers (way better then the two Vegas strip hotels I've stayed in recently). The room was clean and included nice fluffy bath towels which was a nice touch. The decor was tasteful, rustic, and historically local. A clean microwave, mini fridge, and small flat screen TV were all used, and the room was nicely lit with two small lamps along with the sink and bathroom lighting. We didn't use the patio chair, but did enjoy the firepit area. One of the long time residents (camped there 8 years from KY but has lived in the campground 6 years) was very amicable and provided a great fire at 7am, good company, and local stories. There is a nice looking set of restrooms which we assume had showers inside, and a little "barn" building with complimentary coffee, a lending library of books, dvds, and boardgames. A small offering of relevant pantry and personal items for sale. The decor again was so nice and a big section of one wall was for signing in. My boyfriend is very tall, so our sign in is up high. :-)We plan at some point in 2021 to bring our two sons from previous relationships for a "first combined family vacation " and there is no other place for us to consider as a top choice to stay again. The boys would love the area.Thank you to the owners for making so much effort at cozy accommodations.Jamie & Wayne

I had a reservation for two nights at this campsite. I drove via Google maps and it took me to a dirt road with large gouges made from rain. I had to shift my truck into 4 wheel drive in order to navigate the road only to realize that the final turn led me to an uphill road at such a steep grade I could not have made it up with my camper. I had to turn around and I traveled down the road to the Meadview RV campsite. When I called Happy Trails I was told that there are maps on the website and a you tube video. I did not see anything like that on the website nor did I get any information in the emails that were sent to me. They were not friendly and quite frankly did not care about my trouble. DO NOT DRIVE HERE it's dangerous.

A nice like spot to set up a tent or your RV. We arrived late at night so called ahead to make sure there was space, and were given direction on how to get there. Rates were very affordable and everything was clean. The amenities could use a bit of modernization, but shouldn't be a deal breaker for anyone. The couple that greeted us was also extremely nice and it was greatly appreciated, especially since we arrived after midnight.
