Always great service with a smile. They also have some plumbing parts (like PVC elbows, tees etc.) in the back that are very reasonably priced, so I always stop here first before going to ACE.

Wonderful folks running this shop. It looks like a lot of work and a lot to manage, but they do it all, they offer prices you can't beat! They're friendly, and will answer any questions you have. My husband and I just got 3 sweet lil' Easter Egger chicks there yesterday, and they're all so healthy! Hoping at least two will be hens, but time will tell. Support Chitwood, trust me, they're worth it.

We've been a regular customer for over 6 years now. Not because we have to but because we like to support small, local businesses. We pulled in at 3:28 on a Saturday (yes I know they close at 3:30 and I know from experience that that's annoying) but since when is it okay for the owner to scream at a customer? The employees have the right idea taking care of the customer and allowing us to get our propane filled. (Which had us in and out before 3:30) . But being treated like that by the owner of a business...you lost a 6 year regular. I will gladly go to the bigger corporations that are trying to put you out of business.

I went into Chitwood Feed this morning and was greeted by an incredibly friendly staff. The lady at the front desk pointed me right where I needed to go and a gentlemen loaded my purchase into my car for me! They also beat the price on Taste of the Wild compared to any other store locally that I've found. SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES!!

The people are so wonderful at Chitwoods. My dog had been sick, and I needed to give her pills but she wasn't eating anything so I couldn't hide it in a treat like usual. I had been all over looking for a pill popping tool for dogs without luck. When I went to Chitwoods, they didn't have one either, but spent the time with me to problem solve a solution and ultimately we came up with crushing the pill, adding to water and using a syringe to get it toward the back of the dogs throat easily, and they provided me with the syringe. It worked brilliantly. I've been here many times and they're always so helpful and friendly, but this experience was certainly above and beyond and not the type of customer service you get anywhere else these days. I highly recommend them for pet supplies & propane refills (lowest price around anyway), you won't be disappointed.

I am kinda new to town and if I had only read one review I would never try this place but I went on and read all the reviews. I will tell you what I think and I am a very practical person with reasonable common sense. There is a lot of reviews here and if you take the time to read them you will find out they are like 99% positive, when this is the case I have to advise the complainer to take a look at him or herself because if almost EVERYONE has a good experience here then maybe your bad experience is your fault. Just sayin! Sean I hope you give then another chance and that your next time is pleasant because we need to support our local business. I am looking forward to stopping in next time I am down that way

Love this place. Very friendly and helpful. Wish they had later hours on weekends. It's my fault that I wait until late Saturday afternoon to refill my propane tank. It's was 3:30 when I decided to barbecue and tank was low. I'm taking the chance and seeing if there's enough.

Were quoted price on phone, then charged over twice in store. Woman was very rude to my son, when he pointed this out. I do not recommend Chitwood to anyone.In regards to the reply to my review by the owner:I am not mistaken in what feed store I wrote this review about. I have record of the transaction. I would not advise anyone to do business with Chitwood.

Awesome place... I have been going there for many years. I strongly urge you to support our local businesses. Especially since all of these conglomerate corporations that have moved here only care about getting as rich as they can. They have a full hardware and feed store.Love it.

Still trying to charge tax on stock feed, even though the state of Arizona says no one can charge taxes on stock feed. Tried to say her business was exempt and other businesses were gonna pay when they were audited. Funny Ibwas there almost a month ago, tried to charge tax, called her on it, she got an attitude and re-run it, THEN rounded my purchase up almost .50, it's not the dollar amount, it's the principal. How many others has she rounded up, or charged wrongful tax? I spoke with other businesses, thay displays the new no tax on their walls. She's wrong, but will throw you an attitude and be rude as all get out if you tell her she's wrong.
