I want to thank the Vets and Staff for all their support with Apollo and Sadie. We fought a hard battle and I know you guys were with me all along supporting me and hoping for the best turn out. We got an extra year out of Apollo despite his hip dysplasia and osteoarthritis and that was worth it.

It's been a couple months now since I had to put my really good friend down, Mr Kitty, and I've been feeling a need to write a review for the clinic that helped my buddy over the rainbow bridge. The day was one of the roughest, and the decision was tough, but I'm so thankful for Marana Veterinary Clinic for the care and compassion they showed. The understanding and the somber respect that my little guy received in his last moments were all I could ask for. And this alone would have been enough, but I received a really nice card signed by some of the staff about 2 weeks later and it was such a thoughtful and beautiful sentiment I just can't overstate. I just recently moved to the area and I will be bringing my other pet to this clinic for all or her care needs, because the staff here is great.

I took my 2 dogs here today for the first time. I was told this clinic was great and a lot less expensive than the one I've been going to. The less expensive part may be true, but you get what you pay for. The visit was so strange, so bizarre. The vet never introduced himself, really awkward. He prescribed a medication for one of my dogs that she has taken in the past, and I know that you have to gradually increase the dosage. I asked him twice about the schedule for increasing the dosage and he couldn't give me an answer. He just said to start giving my dog the expired pills that I had on hand, and he wrote me a new script. They charged me for an exam for one of my dogs who is fearful, they couldn't handle her (didn't even try), they never touched her, so why the exam fee? My other dog who is very friendly and easygoing also got charged an exam fee but he was never examined. The vet didn't check his teeth, ears, listen to his heart or lungs, there was no exam. The front desk gal with the curly hair was not friendly. I definitely don't trust this vet to care for my animals, and I won't be back. My current vet may be more expensive, but they can handle my fearful dog without sedation, they are so thorough, warm and friendly, it's worth it to me to keep paying more for their care.

1/24/24 update - this staff has been so very kind to me. Dr. Weingart figure out what's wrong with my cat when no other vet was able and without charging me a fortune. One of his staff recently said something so kind to me that I almost cried. My pets are so important to me and I finally feel like I have people backing me up in regards to their care. I'm blown away by these absolutely amazing people. ---- I love that I can finally praise a veterinarian in Southern AZ. I've taken my pets to over 20 clinics in the area and left their offices disgusted on every level. The people at this office are exceptional. I love that it's father and son! I've been taking my pets here for a little over a year now and I'm just so happy I found them. Thank you for all that you do!

I have been in the Marana, Tucson and Oro Valley area for 10 years. I have had my 5 dogs and 4 cats seen with various veterinarian facilities since moving here. Marana Veterinary Clinic is the diamond in the rough. I am so impressed with this Clinic, from front office to veterinarian technicians to the veterinarian. All my questions and concerns were addressed within a short amount of time, I appreciate their compassionate and professional service, I am so blessed to have found a truly down to earth clinic providing high quality level of care facility for my fur baby. We had brought our lab 79# and he won’t let anyone to cut his nails we have tried everything. So the dove mountain vet were so mean to my dog he was very very scared even though I told them what Alex’s anxiety is. They got him so worked up we had to just leave. So we went to Marana vet. And I can’t tell you how they took care of our 10 yr old lab. They were so gentle and took what we said about how he was scared of getting his nails done and my dog can feel the anxiety. They were great and this was about 2 weeks after the dove Mtn vet drama. Alex went right into their hands and was not stressed at all. Oh and dove mv tried all the meds that you can give a dog which did not effect his anxiety.

We are so grateful for the great work done here. They were able to get our dog, who was kicked by horse, in quickly. They saw us within a day and had our dog in surgery within 3 days. They were so kind to our pup as well and we could tell they really cared. He is recovering well .

I have been going to this veterinary clinic for laser therapy on both of my dog's torn knees, and the staff that have been treating him have been so so kind to not only him but me as well.Despite their extremely busy schedule (almost always 3-4 other families waiting when I arrive), they have taken Angus in to make sure he gets his treatments. The laser machine that they use is a very nice model and is making a difference on how well Angus is healing since he cannot have surgery.The cost for these treatments is incredible as well -My dog also had a recent injury that is minor and flares up from time to time, and they had sent me home with something to put on it at no cost at one of his laser treatments (even though I was willing to pay for it). I was floored by the kindness and really appreciate it. Thank you to everyone for making my boy feel better!

I cannot say enough incredible things about Marana Vet Clinic and their compassionate staff, I have taken six different pets here for medical attention (being a dog sitter and foster dog mom) they have helped with the most minor case to the most severe case and have helped every pet needing help. Their Clinic is beautifully decorated, clean, and if not cleaned while we visited as accidents happen. Staff always answers my questions or if they don’t they get right back to me.Sometimes phone calls can take a while to get to someone if they are super busy or short staffed, but that’s literally the only complaint I have and it makes sense because they are phenomenal at their job.Thank you Dr. Wengert, Laura, Shelby, Zoe, Stephanie, and so many others in helping Lucky, Liberty, Slink, Shaka, Spirit (kitty), and Rugby. These animals are kept up with care and are safe because of your team! You are their heroes.

The greatest staff and doc ever!! SO kind and compassionate! Got an appointment for two days after I called. Then today it became an emergency and I called and they said to bring my cat Liberty in right away. She ended up passing in the doc's arms and he was so kind! Vet tech Stephanie just hugged me while I cried. This was my first time at this clinic but I can say for sure it won't be the last! Thank you staff of Marana Vet Clinic. You are angels!

They are amazing. Staff is super friendly and caring. They were able to fit my sick kitty in and took wonderful care of him. He is back on his feet and back to his normal self. They are a bit of a drive for me but worth it. I will be letting them care for both of my kitties.

Don't take your fur babies here. I made that mistake when my 3 year old dog needed her floppy dew claw removed. Dropped her off for 1 dew claw removal and they removed multiple. WITHOUT ASKING FOR PERMISSION. The real kicker: the other wasn't even floppy and was about the size of a tic tac and causing no issues for her. Don't take your pets here. Once she is healed we're going elsewhere. I will never take any animals here ever again.

They have taken care of two of our animals now and after trying one other clinic I can say we quickly came running back. They are very friendly, happy to explain things to you and they do not just go for the expensive tests.My wife and I both agree this is where we will be going from now on and we cannot thank them enough for the service we receive from them.The prices are very reasonable and they have no problem working with you in any way they can so you can treat your own pet.Thank you to the Doctor and Staff again you are excellent.

Thank you Marana Vet Clinic, for staying past work hours to take in our deceased dog Ella. The doctor was informative on necropsy information. In addition, the receptionists and vet techs were very sympathetic.

Very unprofessional and rude. Front desk is very stiff and unwelcoming. Very nice to my wife tho. My first dog who was 13 years old had a growth on his leg. The vet had no clue what it was so surgery was recommended. He died 3 weeks after his visit. We thought old age. 1 month ago my second dog died. He was 5 years old. He was limping on both hind legs so I took him in. Marana vet said valley fever and I begged to differ. He had a huge mass in his groin area and 2 lymphnodes on his hind legs. The vet ignored me when I brought that to his attention and suggested blood work. They promised me everything would be fine and my dog would live many more years if he was treated. We got the call later on saying that it was valley fever and levels were really high. He was prescribed 400mg of fluconazole twice a day for 1 year. We bought 6 months supply of fluconazole. I did research and told my wife that the prescription was too high but the vet said he needed it. He was also given an anti-inflammatory which was making him walk normal. When the anti-inflammatory was done, he started limping again. The vet said to keep giving him the fluconazole and everything will be fine. My dog died on May 16th 2021, about 3 weeks after visiting Marana vet, the vet said he must of got into poison somewhere in the yard. Absolutely not! We don't use poison anywhere on our property nor inside the house. Was his liver and kidneys tested to see if he could handle that much medication? Was his blood tested for anything besides valley fever? Non the less, I haven't received a call or card in the mail showing any kind of concern or condolences. Maybe they don't like New Yorkers with pitbulls. My vet in Tucson sent my dog a happy birthday card in the mail every year until we moved to Marana. Be careful and trust your dog!

Some man child posing as a vet came in to our room.He never introduced himself.He did not look at my pet much.He rambled off about some meds.Eighty dollars and no real answers we left and went to a real Veterinarian. Don't take your pets here.Very unprofessional and expensive. The places smells and they lack care.

On two different occassions, I brought my dogs in to this vet. The first time was for a skin breakout for both my dogs. The vet came in and, without ever looking at either dog, prescribed them steroids to take to clear up their condition. The second time I went to this vet was because my dog was limping and not putting weight on his front leg. Again, without looking at my dog, he prescribed an anti-inflammatory to be taken for 2 weeks. The next day my dogs leg was worse. How can you diagnose without ever examining?? Not at all satisfied nor will I ever go back.

Dr Wengert lacks personality and empathy. Refused to acknowledge my concerns of a skin issue in my kitten that was worsening after every visit. My kitten developed an ear infection, eye infection and upper respiratory infection, each time I brought him in I would mention the condition with his skin and he wouldn't say anything. After bringing him in to a different vet, come to find out after a biopsy it was advanced skin cancer that could've been treated early on with a simple antibiotic. Now he will be on medication for the duration of his life.. Recently we scheduled am appointment to have my goat neutered and they called me 90 minutes before the appointment asking if he had his tetanus shots and if he didn't he would not be able to do the procedure. We'll we had no idea and my husband had already taken the day off because they will only do it Monday- Friday. They blamed it on the new girl that I had set the appointment with. Extremely frustrating!! My advice is, only take your pets here if its something simple, do not take them here if it's something serious, Dr. Wengert doesn't seem to have the competence or the initiative to handle more serious situations. I will not longer give any of my business to him.

This is the best Vet I have ever taken my dogs! He is so kind, he listened to what was going on and gave me choices. He never made me feel bad for not being able to get all the x-rays and his staff was fantastic! I have always enjoyed going to this office! I have found my Vet for Life!!!

My dog was on death's door with a serious life threatening infection. Dr. Wengert saved her life and his kindness was also very appreciated. This clinic is run by knowledgeable people and when your pets life is at stake...or not...this is the place to go. My dog iss doing great, thriving, and we are all very happy for it!

We have taken our Pug Harley there from the day we got him at 4wks and he is now 10 years old. They are great with him prices have pretty much remained the same not huge hikes. We take all 3 of our dogs and when we had our cats we took them to Marana Veterinary. We love them over there and trust them with our animals

Female dog had dental work, clean and extractions, two weeks later had to go back to have another tooth pulled ( it appears to have been missed the first surgery) After another two weeks on antibiotics the dog was still having problems, the vet changed to a stronger antibiotic. After 6 days on the antibiotic, called vet’s office at 1:30 did not receive call back so called at 6:50 and was finally able to talk with vet. Took her off meds as vet okayed this as they did not seem to be agreeing with her, was told to monitor her and call back to office in 48 hours. After 16 hours dog went severely down hill, she appeared to have a stroke. Could not walk, appears to be blind, difficulty breathing, suffering from lack of bladder control. Called vet office as this dog is suffering and this should be classed as emergency. When I asked for appointment, I was told the vet can see you at 2:45. So much for being caring and compassionate.

We were stationed here a few years back, we have used this Veterinary for all 4 of our very large dogs, we feel that they are given the best preventive/emergency care and have extended the quality as well as the quantity of their lives. The clinic staff and the Doctors always make time to see a sick or injured pet, as well as doing a follow up call to ensure that they are healing properly. I highly recommend this clinic.
