We were definitely disappointed upon our arrival. We were expecting Best Western quality rooms and it was literally a motel 6 with best westerns name on it. It literally looks like it was a motel 6 and best western bought the property and did absolutely no remodeling. It was fine for the night, but we will definitely find other accommodations for our next visit to the area.Rooms: Think motel 6 and you have an accurate picture of the rooms.Nearby activities: Darbis Cafe is across the street within walking distance from the hotel. The only highlight about staying at the best western.Safety: Our room was behind the building and it was a Lil sketch. No lights, pitch black.

Stayed here once when I visited the area three years ago. The whirlpool was out of service, and a couple times I recently wanted to book another room, and when I ask about the whirlpool, they said it's still not working. How can a property go almost four years without fixing their whirlpool?! They desk person Saif we can use the whirlpool across the street at their sister hotel, bur why should I have to do.that, when they have one right there they can easily fix up?

Nice clean room. Liked the area a lot. They need to upgrade to allow for cell chargers and iPad chargers though. Nice restaurant beside it that has good food also.Food & drinks: Breakfast is okay, but they need new warmers because it gets cold really fast.

Pictures posted online looks nothing like it in person. It’s a small hotel, parking sucks, you’ll be lucky to get a spot on your side of the hotel.when we stayed we had no parking spots on our side and the other side of the parking lot we park my SUV got bang by doors from other car park by us. They have upstairs no elevator, my husband had knee surgery and didn’t have the option to use one so just toughen up and made it even though online it says handicap accessible. Our roomHad a lot dog hair on the floor and our pillow case was stain w red spots.

If I were to stay in the area again I would avoid this Best Western. I checked in around 6AM and informed the front desk staff that I had been driving all night and just needed to stay until about 3PM when my checkin time would have actually been. I didn’t care that I was paying full price for only a 9 hours stay but this guy charges me an extra $50 because I am checking in before 3PM. This is ridiculous!!! Everything else of the hotel was minimally adequate!!! The fridge in my room was broken as it was unplugged and had towels and stuff around it. They had a person serving their complimentary breakfast and she was very nice but she was serving the hot foods like some kind of portion control. They had to change my rooms because the first one they assigned me had a faulty fire alarm. I would avoid this hotel at all costs!!! The prior night I had stayed at a Best Western where I was not charged an early checkin fee, all their amenities were nice and you could serve yourself all the breakfast you would like. Again, love Best Western just this one seems outdated and focused on what they can charge you and not the services they provide!!!Rooms: One room had a fire alarm that wasn’t working so they moved me to a room where the fridge wasn’t working.Food & drinks: They keep their hot foods behind a counter and have a server. The server is very nice however the set up gives the tacky feel of portion control on their hot items.

We were in the area for a wedding(June 29-July5) and couldn't have had a better place to stay. The rooms were spacious and clean, the staff were all friendly and efficient. We especially enjoyed breakfast! Patrice did an excellent job and was friendly , polite and helpful! We missed her friendly greeting when she was off on our last day there!

Clean hotel right off the main road. Staff was polite & professional. I like that they serve up the hot breakfast. Good value for the meal served (pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, cereal, coffee & even hot chocolate for the kids).Their hot tub was under repairs & they offered swim passes at the property across the street. Not sure if this is a temporary upgrade or a permanent part of the stay but definitely worth advertising! We were allowed to use the pool across the street at Woods Canyon Inn (which also has a spa & sauna). On the way out from the swim the over concierge there treated us to freshly baked cookies.We would definitely stay at this hotel again & recommend highly.

Awesome front desk person. He was very helpful several times. The room was clean! much cleaner than other hotels. The only problem with the room was that the coffee maker still had old grounds fun the last guest in it. Yuk. The super clean everything else made up for that!Breakfast was great as well! Hot and cold foods, including scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, etc... Great kitchen help too.This stay would have got FIVE stars but the ONE washing machine they have here was OUT OF ORDER, there was no gym and the hot tub was also OUT OF ORDER. At check-in there was no mention of this anywhere.

The positive: Good location, clean room and good breakfast. On the negative side the beds are extremely uncomfortable. I couldn't even sleep on back because it was so uneven. The gentleman serving breakfast had an attitude problem. I understand he was working breakfast and front desk but the flat tone, rude demeanor and 1000 yard stare is not how you should present in this industry. Glad the rest of our trip is booked elsewhere. Several other options in the area.

My wife and I are waiting on our house open up. We’ve been staying here three days. I always like to start on a positive note so here it is:The Good - The housekeeping team was super friendly. There was a gentleman who is genuinely one of the nicest guys I’ve met in a long time, always smiling. One of the front desk women who did breakfast one of the mornings was very nice after I got to know her a minute. She expressed her frustration and concern with her ability to make breakfast for her clients. Apparently due to management decisions, they have tried to forgo hot breakfast all together because of waste. She had a very simple solution making breakfast per resident capacity. Not allowing employees to make decisions to better the company shows a severe lack of concern for morale and outside the box thing. My wife and I stay at hotels across America, and this was the only hotel we’ve been to where they do not allow you to serve your own food from hot breakfast, not sure what that’s about? we really appreciate and enjoy going to hotels where they take the time to add little things in the meals like chorizo or home cooked aspects because it gives you a sense of home away from home. Another one of the women made homemade white chocolate chip cookies that were awesome! Great job! She’s the type of employee I want in my business and someone I keep eyes on to promote from within. Definitely going the extra mile and she did not need to do that. Bless her!The Bad:Uncomfortable mattresses, spring mattress and we had a very hard sleep last three days. This is not standard as we stay at Best western‘s everywhere and usually have no issues with comfortability. Literally an hour away in Eager you can see one of my other reviews for another hotel that is also a Best Western doing a good job.The ugly: I am a local and own carpet/property management and maintenance company. I don’t need the extra work (offered my services but indifferent either way) I am very busy as it is, but I have a 17 month old daughter today whose feet were black after walking around on the floor for 20 minutes. It’s disgusting! I’m a professional in this business, and I can tell you these are nasty carpets. I will attach a picture of one of my white shop rags that I did a quick wipe on one of the carpets with and it will show you dirt that came up from a couple passes. Gross! This is a pet friendly establishment, meaning animals are messing routinely on these carpets and I can guarantee these have not been cleaned in the last year. Do the math. The assistant manager at the front (Fernando) was one of the most unpleasant individuals my wife or I had the pleasure of meeting, hostile and grumpy. I would promote cookie lady and fire this dude immediately. He’s running customer service into the ground. If your hating your job that bad you should probably look for something else. Usually this is a trickle down effect from leadership above him, and morale can be affected throughout the entire company if there’s poor leader ship.Takeaways:Make breakfast for people, do something a little special knowing that your customers still want to feel a hint of home and take pride in what you do. It doesn’t cost much extra to add a little chorizo to the eggs, or make burritos or just a little niche that somebody is passionate about. Breakfast fruit salad or anything, have one of the older women motherly figures who really enjoy cooking for people do something like that. Clean your rooms because people notice. If you don’t have the finances for infrastructure keep your hotel going, get out of the business. If you are in it, do it with your whole heart! Half hearted workmanship bleeds into every aspect and it shows a lack of character. I gave it a two star simply because there are employees here trying to do their best, it’s not their fault they have no leaders!Updates: Hirsch was the friendly man, I think it was Cassi making cookies and Twila was friendly at the desk. Props!

5 stars for the attentive and friendly staff. 5 stars to owner for his commitment to staff and guests. I liked the newer towels, good water pressure and comfortable bed. Carpet not so much. Wish it were shampooed or better yet, removed and replaced with vinyl flooring but maybe this is planned. Appreciated that I could bring my chihuahua, Paco. Breakfast was best possible during the pandemic.

This hotel was nice to stay in and the location was perfect for me. I was here on business and working in showlow. The drive was beautiful everyday and it wasn’t even that far, about a 20 minute drive. The gentleman at the front desk was so friendly and let me check in about 2 hours early without a charge. Very awesome! The room was really clean and spacious and the bed was so comfy. They gave me a downstairs room that was right by the office so it was a convenient location. The breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast but the biscuits were a little dry. Overall, I would totally book this place in the future!!!

The staff here is amazing. I spoke to a woman on the phone that was very helpful and friendly with my booking. Then my front desk clerk Fernando was very pleasant and concerned about my stay. I really appreciated his efforts. I had a couple complaints about the room, the bathroom smelled like mold. This was very alarming and I couldn't switch rooms because the hotel was fully booked. The shower ranged from super hot to super cold while showering, which is just annoying. The bed was comfy but the pillows were lumpy and too small for a king sized bed. Other than that the room was clean enough and satisfactory.

The room was a descent size,fridge was cold, microwave worked. It started when we went to sleep. Herd a dripping sound. Got up and turned the lights on and there was a cieling leak. It was late and didn't want to move to a different room that could have had the same problem so took the trash can and put a towel in it until the rain stopped. The next morning we tried to take a shower and it took about five minutes for water and the pressure was low.And there wasn't even a fresh roll of toilet paper.

I stayed at this hotel Monday evening. When I booked it i was quoted $106.18. The evening after I checked out My account showed two charges. One for &128 and one for $25. I called the hotel and they stated there was a pet fee which i was never told. Then they stated the $25 was for stolen towels. I am a senior citizen and I don’t steal towels from hotels.I believe the management is crooked and saw a senior woman and thought they could take advantage of me. The manager refused to tak with me. I have contacted my bank to dispute these extra charges but wanted to warn people about this business. Please beware and stay away.

The room was nice, and the breakfast was excellent. They definitely have personnel issues at this location. It was for 4 o’clock before we were able to check in because the room was not clean. On returning to our room on Saturday night our room had not been cleaned. We had to call to see if it was OK if we could get fresh towels And toilet paper for a room. This is probably the most I have ever spent for a hotel and went in expecting much more than we go and toilet paper for room. This is probably theost I have ever spent for a hotel and went in expecting our experience to be much better.
