Stayed here last evening! For a Hampton Inn I was impressed! It appeared fairly new, and I was immediately drawn to the beautiful lobby. Service employees were kind. Room was standard king bedroom with a moderate small fridge. Nice standard breakfast hot buffet of scrambled egg, potatoes and sausage, with additional options of breads, pastries, fruit and waffles. Shopped this morning in the large gift shop that had a range of gift items from pottery, t-shirts, mugs, jewelry to postcards. Probably one of the nicest Hampton Inn’s I’ve stayed at.

My wife, myself and our small dog stay here recently. Beautiful Hampton Inn; the decor is great and the staff were very friendly. This hotel is 22 years old but looks brand new. Great gift shop and attached restaurant. I had black bean soup and my wife had a Navajo taco - both were delicious and delivered to our room in a very friendly manner. The dishes were picked up quickly after we were done and advised to set dishes outside the room. There was plenty of area to walk our dog. Right on highway 160. We travel frequently between Salt Lake City and Tucson; believe we will be staying here again during our next visit and will tour the area - did not go to 4 Corners Monument on this trip.

Pros: close to Monument valley, nice reception and seating area and nice welcoming fire, and dining room. Nice gift shop with beautiful jewelry, many fairly priced and different items to choose from. Decent food in the restaurant. Rooms were clean enough.Cons: a lack of customer service. You must wait and wait for service and finally ask for help from the waiters, to reception, to jewelry store help for assistance, and then you get the sense you’re bothering them, when you know this is their job. Employees do not aniticipate any needs. When ordering food from the restaurant to take back to the room I was scolded for “helping myself” to forks and a knife by a very rude waitress who brusquely informed me, “you can’t be digging around in the cutlery, that’s for our customers!” Aren’t I a customer?! Employees need training in customer service. Beds are hard, probably the worst I’ve ever tried to sleep on in a Hilton. I say tried because I didn’t succeed very well. Rooms are rather small, no microwaves. Was thrilled that there were plenty of towels and wash clothes, even if they were rather thin. For me, the cons outweighed the pros and we won’t return to this Hilton, nor would I recommend staying to anyone else. This one does the Hilton name no favors!!!Rooms: We stayed on a Sunday night and promptly at 10 PM we heard cars outside with stereos booming. So relieved when morning arrived and we were on our way to Monument valley.

Rooms were ok. We had two queen bed rooms and it was a bit congested I felt compared to few other two queen rooms we have stayed in.Breakfast was nice but the person replenishing the food was not very active. We had to ask several times to refill stuff and he finally did it. The guy acted as if we were asking for a favor while it was his duty. But overall front desk was super helpful, breakfast items were good and hotel rooms were good too. I wish they would add a microwave to the rooms though.

if you don’t know anything about where you’re staying take the time to just learn a few things before coming here. The safety concerns are more than valid but that does not fall onto the staff and falls more onto people not educating themselves. the staff is very kind and it’s a very chill calm hotel not to mention the restaurant inside is amazing! I do agree they could do with some night security (or just security in general that did not seem to be present) but it really comes down to you making sure your car is locked, you have everything valuable and they warn you to remove anything from the outside of your vehicle and bring it to your room. as for the comments i’m see about the dogs, again, educate yourself. it’s no different from any other wild animal that is out of the hotels control when YOU ARE STAYING PRETTY MUCH IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE! beautiful sites, comfortable rooms (not the best beds but the room itself was homey and cosy) and the bathroom was beautiful. regardless of the location and other reviews i felt very safe and comfortable at this hotel!Nearby activities: not any activities near by but lots of places for food if you don’t like the menu at the hotel, and a bashas for groceries!Food & drinks: the restaurant in the hotel is amazing as i said, we had the fish and chips which to our pleasant surprise was salmon! it was perfectly cooked. they’re breakfast was like any other hotel breakfast but the eggs did look fresh!

The hotel and restaurant itself wasn’t bad. My vehicle did get broken into at 6am causing thousands of dollars in damage and having numerous items stolen. Hotel security cameras are worthless and very poor quality. The security staff went through the parking lot 1 time their whole shift. The police in town didn’t care and I had to ask him 3 times to please write a report as he just kept saying nothing he could do for me but my insurance will cover it. This hotel failed me and my family for our safety. This place is a stay at your own risk more than you realize.

I had a nice stay here. I was skeptical about staying here or at the view hotel into national monument valley due to weather conditions. I chose this as its only 25 min drive and was cheaper compare to view hotel. The weather was a mess and foggy weather so I am glad I chose this one because from the view hotel, there was nothing to see beyond 100 feet visibility on the foggy day.In addition, the hotel rooms were clean, big enough for my family and the breakfast was great.I would stay here again.Rooms: Spacious enough for family of 4 with 2 kids and clean.Nearby activities: Monument Valley, four cornersFood & drinks: There is not much to eat in this small town so I am glad the hotel had really nice breakfast.

Hard to get a full night of sleep, while wondering if your vehicle is getting freaked into or not. After getting my key to my room Went to park and a guy followed me by foot. Stood by my car window. Couldn’t get out of car and had to pull back to the front. Finally got to park and go inside. For the price of the room you could have parking lot security. With all the homeless in the area I’m pretty sure people need jobs. Paid like 300 for one night! Navy War Veteran traveling nurse.

The room was large and had a fridge and coffee maker. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. The continental breakfast was really good. The gift shop had some cool and unique items and there is a restaurant in the hotel as well that had amazing authentic dishes! The Navajo taco and poblano stew were amazing! Staff was friendly and accommodating. Pet friendly with a fee as well. Would recommend this hotel.

A beautiful, well-managed hotel. The quality of this hotel is unexpected in a small town like Kayenta. The lobby and breakfast areas are beautiful and inviting. All areas of the hotel are very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast had a varied menu, and all items were well-stocked and fresh. The only complaint is that the springs on the doors are very strong and slam when closing. It can be very loud when guests are arriving late. Our room was next to an exterior door that was frequently used, and continued to slam shut until about 11 o’clock in the evening. We had to consciously hold our own room door while it was closing to prevent it from slamming shut, so not to disturb other guests.

Very surprised at some of the negative reviews. We found the rooms very clean, the staff super friendly and the lobby area with luxurious chairs and a fireplace very inviting! The Reuben Heflin restaurant on site did not disappoint. We tried the green Chile stew and the bread pudding. We will drive out of our way to visit the restaurant again. Breakfast was a little better than most. Only upgrade would be made to order egg station.

Not the best experience... left standing at the front desk while clerk tried to print my receipt unsuccessfully for about 15 mins ( no exaggeration). The bed was so unbelievably hard. House keeping started knocking on doors at 9 am and attempted to open my door. At about 10:30 someone hit my door with something. When attempting to check out I was left once again for about 15 mins standing in the lobby waiting. There's a phone at the desk to call for assistance that no one answered. The worst Hilton experience.

Friendly, efficient front desk and gift shop staff. As for the rest, the only item worthy of four stars was the price: $179 per night.Understaffed and overworked restaurant crew. Tried hard to meet customer demands though.Very clean accommodations. Inexpensive fixtures in the bathrooms. Builders grade bedrooms. Hard mattresses. No pillowtop liners for those mattresses. The exercise room is a joke and a bad one at that: not a single fixed or free weight. And the Wild card: I experienced what I can only describe as massive food poisoning from the soup. (That's all I had for dinner there.) I was healthy until that point. 'Lasted all night and into the next day. Perhaps it would have been better for the food and beverage Department to leave any local or more exotic ingredients out of the menu at an hotel restaurant. They are catering to guests who need to be out by morning....Not stuck in bed or the bathroom.2 star minus.

The rooms are large and nice . This hotel is very close to Monumemt Valley . Our overall experience was good . We are from the east coast and were surprised that at 10.30 pm when my husband stepped out to grab some food the Security Guard at the hotel knocked and told me and my kids that we were loud . I was surprised cause usually they call you to tell you about things like this . I understand this was on the Navajo reservation and rules might be different but definitely weird . It was a little weird for me being a new place and having someone knock at 10.30 in the night . I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else .Safety: This area might have a lot of car break ins because there is an advisory posted outside the hotel .

Keep in mind this is not a usual Hampton Inn! The land is owned by a Navajo Code Talker's family, and the inn has been around since 1990s. From the exterior to the interior, the building incorporate a lot of elements from the Navajo culture -- think of your stay as a cultural immersion! The owner also gives business revenue back to the Navajo nation. Also the landowner save the lot next to the inn for cultural exhibition. It's a great place to learn more about the Navajo Nation, and the Code Talkers! Also, be sure to check out the Burger King next door. You'll see many WWII artifacts relevant to the Code Talkers.

Unfortunately on The Rez there aren’t too many options, but the Hampton Inn is nice. It’s a chain hotel that had everything I’d expect. It wasn’t the Plaza in NYC but it got the job done.Room was nice, location was perfect for what we needed. Could use some help on the Continental Breakfast, but not going to complain for “free food”. The linens and towels were not soft and a bit scratchy, but nothing that would cause me not to go back.Overall it was a good chain hotel that met my expectations but there wasn’t anything to make it great.Rooms: King size, clean and up to date. No dresser, so that was a bit weird but they had some wire baskets.Nearby activities: Monument Valley was amazing, didn’t make it to the Worlds Largest collection of WWII Code Talker memorabilia in the Burger King next door.Food & drinks: The continental breakfast was standard, but I didn’t find it that great. Maybe just the time I went, but hey it’s free!

I’m picky about hotels. I was nervous because there isn’t much in this area. I absolutely loved staying here and didn’t want to leave. The atmosphere is comfortable throughout the entire hotel. The cozy, warm southwest/ Native American theme is perfect- because we were on Native land, after all. The front desk staff was super professional and friendly, the room was VERY CLEAN and up to date. The single thing I would change is that the towels in our room were not soft and fluffy. Breakfast was a little better than the usual “free breakfast” in hotels. The food in the restaurant was good too. Ice machines worked well. Check out the cool Native American cultural exhibit just next door. I also liked being able to pick my room on the app, but the digital key did not work well. It’s ok, I had a physical key too. The bed was comfortable. I love this place! Thank you for a great, comfortable stay!

Clean rooms and friendly staff. Beautiful nature around, but unfortunately many cold-looking stray dogs..No vegan options in the complementary breakfast, I hope they will add some in the future though!

Rode out to see Monument Valley and spent the night here. Hostess was very pleasant and room was very clean. Had a good night's sleep and breakfast (included) was good. The breakfast turns into a restaurant for dinner and prices were decent and food/choices were good. Get the frybread dessert!!!Rooms: Very cleanNearby activities: 20 miles from Monument Valley.

Nothing wrong with the Hotel or Room. What I found alarming was the first thing the Clerk stated was not to leave anything mounted to the outside of your car, or anything visible inside. It was as if, its a normal thing, to expect car break-ins in the Navajo Reservation. Putting a printed out warning label with your room key is your Warning!. Lucky for me all my stuff remained untouched.
