A busy and small place with a few tables. At 2 pm on a Monday, there were a few group of people waiting to be seated. The fajitas were good, the beef was a little tough though. The blue corn Navajo burger was amazing, the fried bread was tasty. The portions were huge. The red chile spice latte was interesting. Excellent services.

DO NOT SKIP THIS PLACE! If you find yourself in Kayenta on your travels, Amigo is a great stop for lunch to take a break. We were so impressed with their service and especially their food. The flat bread was fantastic, everything was flavored beautifully and very well presented. The mutton was to die for! A great option if you have people in your party who might not be super fans of Mexican. This place does get busy and you might have to wait a little but it’s worth it! Just write your name on the list in the little court yard and they’ll call you in when ready!Prices were absolutely fair and balanced! Family friendly.Psssst, Don’t skip the coffee! That’s one of their specialities!Parking: You should be able to find parking right in front of the restaurant. Their lot is big enough to accommodate cars and mud-sized campers.

Amigo cafe rates as a “two nights in a row good” restaurant! Night one we had the Fry Bread Chalupa, Elote Dip, Chicken Nachos, and the Lemon Cake. Everything was delicious and the service was fabulous. There were clearly lots of locals eating there which is always a good sign. We both loved that Chalupa so much that we had to go back for a second night.Night two in addition to the Chalupa, my husband really wanted to try the Mutton Tostada but wanted the blue corn fry bread. He asked if he could get the Blue Corn Navajo Burger with mutton instead of burger patties and hoo boy was it amazing!!!If we were staying in the area any longer we would probably go back a third night. It is that good!

Truly a gem! Incredible flavors, the blue corn waffle, espresso drinks, and breakfast specials were the best thing we tasted on our Monument Valley trip. The food combines authentic Navajo & Mexican flavors with diner classics. We had a red chile chai latte with a shot of espresso & and amigo mocha - these drinks were thoughtfully prepared and delicious! We drove about 30 minutes out of the way to get breakfast here instead of the places in Monument Valley and we are glad we did it, SO worth it! Make sure to try some of the green chile sauce with your meal. We cannot wait to go back, immaculate vibes, great food.

The amigo fries and frybread a la mode (pictured) are especially superb! We stopped for lunch on an RV trip and it was super busy, but we were able to skip the long wait for a seat by placing a takeout order, which was so sweet and helpful. We were able to get Navajo tacos both meat and vegetarian too.Vegetarian options: A couple unmarked vegetarian options, and others that can be made vegetarian — the menu says no substitutions but the host was very willing to make most things vegetarian for me.

I wasn't expecting much as the other options were fast food. I was wrong. This is excellent food regardless of where it is located. The outside waiting area threw us for a loop but the wait was short. Once inside, we understand. The dining area is small but there is a patio as well. I was torn what to order but settled on the mutton tostada. I was amazed how good the food was. The flavor was amazing. I could tell the family was as impressed as they shared taste with one another. Service was quick and we got our food quick. My only regret is this is not local to us or I would be back weekly.

Bizarre greeting situation here. You sign your name on the list and sit down outside. Someone eventually will come get you.The fry bread style taco salad was pretty good! They also make espresso/coffee here if you need a pick me up.

Stopped here on our way to CO from AZ. What a fabulous choice. Our server was super friendly, food came out quickly and my Navajo taco was to die for. Hubby had mutton tacos. Highly recommend this place. We will definitely be stopping here every time we drive through!!!

Surprisingly good coffee for such an isolated place. Serious espresso machine and well trained baristas. The coffee would pass muster in Australia or NZ. This has to be the best coffee within 200 miles. We had a combination plate for lunch as well, which was delicious. The people here are lovely as well. Don’t pass by here! Highly recommended

Made a quick stop here to grab some takeout on our way to Durango. It was absolutely delicious! The Navajo Taco was fantastic and the Amigo Fries were just the best thing ever. I will be dreaming about the pumpkin mole forever. I would make a 2+ hour drive just to eat here! Well done Amigo Cafe!!

What a great surprise. We stumbled upon this delicious restaurant on our way to the Grand Canyon. It might not look like much from the outside but inside it is super cute and the food is great. I had the shrimp chalupa on fry bread and loved it! There was a bit of a wait at lunch time but definitely worth it.
