Rolled in late for a camp spot. Around 7:30/8. The gift shop was closed but there was an attendant on a golf cart available. It’s $25 for electric. No sewer or water. And $10 for WiFi. All in all was good visit. Start at the entrance off 40 and make your way down to the camp ground

It may say "Museum" on the outside but, it's 99% gift shop. It has typical, high tourist prices. A large sign outside says "Clean restrooms" but, they're always closed. That must be how they stay clean. No pictures are allowed inside. (How do they expect you to text a pic to someone to see if they want you to buy it. Dogs are allowed as long as you carry them.

Awesome place to visit before entering the park.

Really cool shop with a nice parking space for RV's with electrical hookup (for a fee). As a bonus the skies here are the darkest I've ever seen so if you're into stargazing and/or astrophotography this is a great location.

The gift shop is run by members of the Navajo tribe. The staff were friendly and helpful. Prices of general petrified wood (all taken from areas outside of the national park) were reasonable, however, the prices on polished petrified wood were very inflated. Prices on some of the other items also seemed quite high. There was a nice selection of items.

Nice shop full of gifts ect, had great customer service but these large mugs are not made well. The second time i used my mug for hot tea it cracked all the way to the bottom. For cold or warm beverages only i guess 😢

Parked our RV for the night. If going East on 40, stay here or across the street for free camping and then head N into park. You can catch 40 when your done tour. Saves time when getting back on 40. Such a quiet night sleep. Only electrical. Gift shop was great. Part shop, part Museum. Very friendly staff. Great sunset.

Nice gift shop, but I was thrilled to notice that they also have RV sites! Prices are fantastic, especially considering that it's just outside the entrance to Petrified Forest National Park

Good junk gift shop, but no bathrooms, which were needed after driving so long to get to it!

Friendly, RV parking, great selection of souvenirs & petrified wood as well as rocks. Learned about petrified wood in this area, definitely worth the stop. Located in the left as you turn on road.

Great shop with such a variety and workers were SO kind to gift my daughter with a geode for her birthday when they heard her talking about them.

Do not plan to use the bathroom here as it is not very "modern" so there are better stops for that unless it is urgent. Shopwise, it is a nice stop with fairly decent prices depending on what you are looking at.

They have a piece of petrified wood for everyone's budget. They also have stickers of the area and Route 66. I was pleasently surprised to find a sticker depicting my home state, Michigan. The clerk was very nice.

Loved the car in the parking lot! Got some cute pics of it. The "free" piece of Petrified Forest is a joke...Lost mine but not mad about it. Too expensive. Left quicky. Don't waste your time there. Go just to see the car!

Free RV parking. Easy to find. There are benches you can use at every parking spot that you can use as well. Highly recommended!

Probably the most passive aggressive “gift” (idk what gift is $1,000+) shop I’ve ever been too.

We parked our RV here for the night before heading into petrified forest national park. All the sites are back in only and electric is provided. There are no water or sewer hook ups. The price was $25, which was a fair price, I thinkWe only ventured into the gift shop/museum to register and pay. I had dirtied my hands, dealing with our hitch and asked for a place to wash my hands, but the lady said the restrooms were out of order. How do you run a business with no restroom facilities!

Great spot right outside of the Petrified Forest south entrance. Many displays of beautiful jewelry and minerals. We camped here with our RV, electric but no other hookups. Super quiet at night.

Various types of gifts like the one across the street. Have RV parking for low amount with only electric (30 amp only). If you wish to bondock like I did go across the street. It has free RV parking for self contained units. They have 10 or so spots which are obvious with room for another dozen with two entrances from the first area. This sight had perhaps 10 sites.

They have many different gifts there. Most of them gifts are from the Petrified wood.

We arrived an hour and 15 minutes before closing and we’re planning on purchasing pottery pieces, and possibly some nice pieces of petrified wood. However, while making our final selection, the woman yells out…”If you’re shopping get out, if your buying, check out quickly so I can go home.” This was still an hour before posted closing time. I put back my purchases and left because of the rudeness. As we exited the gate to enter/exit was locked so we had to wait for Ms.. Pleasant to let us out.

Worth a stop! The geodes and petrified wood are very expensive but pretty to see. There are a lot of other interesting items to see, and some great handmade goods. They also have a clean and accessible restroom to use - which was very appreciated with all of the national park's regular bathrooms being closed.

Cool place, except for the restroom police. They keep the restroom locked. As my family was shopping for souvenirs, I requested the restroom key. The clerk snapped at me that it was for paying customers only - to which I replied that we were about to check out with a few things. She reluctantly handed me the key. Upon returning the key, she promptly exited the building to make sure I had left the restroom in working order with the door locked. Wow. Go to the store across the street, not here.
