The perfect escape!!!Beautiful cabin style rooms at hotels, options to rent cabins as well!! Rooms decor are all themed, ours had bears and fishing 😍 cute fireplace heater, a set of bunk beds and a queen sized bed. Very clean! Shower, hygiene products, kitchenette area, tv-direct tv-dvds(if you need it in the mountains).All the supplies, food, activities, souvenirs, dog treats - in the Lazy Trout MarketThe owners were so I'll informative, genuine, kind, and supportive throughout our stay!!Rooms: Selection of rooms based on your needs!! Either family oriented, with option for family dog or book your romantic stay for your sweety!!Noteworthy details: If your coming in winter, the roads are continually plowed for safety!Don't miss this much needed escape!!!

I was honestly so surprised at how cute this little motel is. And it was spotless. This was one of the only places I could find for a single night in Greer and I'd totally stay here again. Next time I want to check out their cabins if they are anything like how clean and comfortable the motel was.Rooms: The room was seriously spotless. The sheets were great and the beds were really comfortable.Nearby activities: Sunrise ski resort is only 12 miles away which was super convenient. Also the little store is great, and it's close to hiking trails.

Very nice accommodations for my overnight stay. Enjoyed the views and laid back atmosphere of Greer.Update from my last overnight stay. Better than the first time. The staff is so friendly and helpful. This place is going to become a regular stop over when traveling in the area.

Nice quiet clean cabin. Could use a few more normal amenities like soap. The one time I travel without soap and shampoo, none to be had, lol1 of the beds was very cheap and had a broken frame or for some reason felt like sleeping on a really old sofa couch. The middle bar was causing the whole bed to be jacked up in the middle. It was basically unusable and the sofa sleeper was used instead.

Loved staying here and the owners are amazing! So very down to earth and just a joy to be around. Rooms were very clean and cozy and we had no complaints. Will definitely stay there again if business brings us back to the area.

Great place to escape the heat of the valley at a reasonable price.Very quaint motel with rustic rooms. Rooms had everything we needed. Microwave, Fridge, ceiling fan, Direct TV plus a heater if it does get cold. During our trip we saw elk and deer in the pasture across the street both nights we stayed there.The store has everything and more. The owners Joel and Ashley are really good people. Planning our trip next year here.Oh we will send back the pillow case we accidentally took with us.Ooops sorry.

Lovely and very beautiful place. Got a scenic view. Has a room heater and a king bed. But if you are tall may have some problems with the bed. Very nice customer service given by Mr Ted. Very humble and helpful man. Thanks we enjoyed our stay.

Very nice, clean updated rooms with beautiful views, refrigerator & microwave. Comfortable bed with plenty of pillows. Free coffee, fountain drinks and dvds at the Lazy Trout Store with your room rental. Close to Greer Lakes, Little Colorado River, Hoyer Campgrounds. I recommend eating at Molly Butlers for Dinner, within 2 miles and both are 5 🌟 with me.

We have had the pleasure of staying at the hotel and visiting the store for many years now, and the property is always clean and welcoming. Ted and Nancy (the owners) do an amazing job of making everyone feel welcome and there are tons of activities nearby for all members of the family. They also have other cabins available on their website if you need something bigger, or want to prepare more than a simple meal onsite. Keep in-mind that there are limited but wonderful food choices "down the hill" in downtown Greer so if you plan to cook elaborately, you would want to look for a full cabin to rent. Other than that, you will have an amazing time in Greer!

Not expressed with the service. I understand the changing of the sheets and towels. However nobody came in to check on the trash or if we needed more coffee. I had to throw our trash. When we turned in our room key, we told them there was a leak in the toliet. Lady didn't seem to worried. We were never asked how was your stay, did you have a good time? Just some friendly courtesy, Nothing. Wont stay there again.

My sweet boyfriend and I spent my birthday weekend here. Amazing place. Comfortable room, plenty of space, clean and very quiet. Excellent price for the room. Everyone is friendly and accommodating.I recommend staying here.

Great little convenience shop for anything you may have forgotten at home before you came up to the White Mountains. Tons of great memorabilia and knickknacks if you'd like to get something to remember your trip. The staff are always friendly and happy to help. Good beer/liquor selection, always has ice for sale. This store sold an 8 million dollar winning lotto ticket a few years back, I never play except for when I'm up there, you never know, you could get lucky too!

Me and my boyfriend just came back from a weekend here and it was great! Staff is super friendly. Room was very clean and cozy. I loved that they have movies to rent to guest. Very quiet and relaxing, I will definatley be staying there again. Great place away from big cities.

Nicely furnished rooms... very clean and everything worked. You can park right in front of your door. Room has mini fridge, tv, heater, extra blankets, small table and plenty of soap/conditioner/shampoo. Conveience store is right next to motel (definitely overpriced, but it is a tourist destination). Only issue was noise from other rooms, but it wasn't too bad

Clean, comfortable and cozy. I arrived late after they closed for the night; they left my room unlocked, the key inside and the light on for me. The next morning I went to properly check in and was greeted by a very friendly staff. Overall great experience.

$40 for 4 hours of catch and release fly-fishing and $80 for 8 hours seems beyound ridiculous to me. Website says $25 for 4 hours.

We found The Lazy Trout on the way to the Grand Canyon. Loved it & decided to get a cabin for a couple days on the way back. They were very comfortable & well stocked cabins. Staff was so friendly & helpful. Will definitely be back.

People in the lodge check in area/ store are incredibly rude. Room was nice but they lack the customer service and people skills. They were rude to my friend when he checked us in, old lady literally yelled at him to get out as if there was any way for him to know you already had 10 ppl in there cause of COVID.. which i understand but there is no need for rudeness. Maybe u should have someone at the door counting people in and out to avoid employees from yelling at clients. Also went back in today. Younger girl was also rude

We've been coming here for many years. We've seen this place go through multiple owners and names. The current owner has done a fantastic job with the place. I dont know if the gentleman working there is the owner but we really like him. He's been there the last few summers and my kids love him. The Lazy Trout is big part of the "experience" of coming to Greer. You have to stop in and buy some candy and Greer souvenirs!

Four stars, because I actually stayed at Greer Peaks lodge, and Google prompted me to write a review. The area is fantastic, especially if you plan on spending a lot of time outside with nature. Some good friendly local shops a restaurants.

Really a lovely stay. Staff is friendly, rooms and vicinity are clean, comfortable beds, spring tap water, and shower is great.All surrounded by nature away from the heat and hustle. Pet friendly!Highly recommend !!

If you're looking for a relaxing place to stay with a very friendly staff, there's no place better in Greer! They rent cabins, too, but on a budget the hotel cannot be beat. It's obviously a basic room, but with satellite, microwave, mini fridge, and really hot shower, with high pressure. Free DVD rentals with player in the room. Just the best place for a fisherman to collapse after a long day in the forest. I used to stay at my own cabin up her until it burnt down in the Wallow fire, but now I stay here every summer with two kids and two dogs. Heaven.
