Our favorite place to stay. Cabins are fantastic and very much meets our expectations of what a cabin atmosphere should be.Food & drinks: Molly Butler restaurant serves excellent food. A must meal when I'm Greer.

We had our wedding here and it was absolutely perfect. Stunning views, clean cabins, and overall an amazing experience. We honestly could not have asked for better! The owners/staff are very informative, and answered any questions I had prior to booking. Truly a gem. Everyone was very happy with their stay. We will definitely be returning!

It was the most relaxing, peaceful couple of days that I have enjoyed in a long time. I loved the simple things, like walking barefoot on the grass, listening to the bubbling creek right outside my cabin, star gazing at night. My kids enjoyed playing house, cooking and cleaning (things that they never do at home!). Enjoyed the walking distance hiking trails as well.Rooms: It would have been nicer if the kitchen was a little better equipped (pasta drainer, not enough forks and spoons).

Has potential but needs improvements, especially for winter guests. When we arrived the heat was not on and the cabin was about 42°. (Also the key was not left in the cabin for us and the steps/walkways were covered with snow/ice.) We were provided two small electric heaters. There was a propane stove in the living room, but we were told not to use it due to the danger of the wind blowing out the pilot light. There were thermostats in each room as well, though they didn’t seem to actually control anything. With the heaters in separate rooms, it took two hours to raise the temperature just 10°. We had to consolidate the heaters in the bedroom to maximize warmth, though this came with a different set of problems as two heaters at full blast overwhelmed the circuits in the bedroom and lead to a very fishy smell that indicated something was overheating (likely in the walls). Management was informed of the electrical issues via a phone message but never responded. We were able to fix the smell/overheating by moving the heaters to opposite sides of the room and not running them at full power. We used towels and pillows to further insulate the doors and windows and were able to get the temperature in the bedroom up to 65°. The temperatures outside dropped to about 10° our second night, so we asked for and were provided with extra blankets. The living room stayed in the 40s for our entire stay due to the heat situation, and the dishwasher was unfortunately broken so we hand-washed dishes in the cold. All that said, the cabin had a nice rustic feel and was decently well-stocked in terms of cookware. It would’ve been nice to have some basic cooking essentials like salt and pepper, though management did provide those to us when asked (which was appreciated and saved our meal). The property was covered in snow but seems like it’d be very nice to utilize the available communal amenities during warmer times. Our experience was definitely impacted by the colder than expected temperatures and wind, which is not something management could’ve controlled, though they should probably have been better prepared knowing they would be hosting winter guests. Even though the cabin can technically sleep four, there’s no way it would’ve worked with the heating situation the way it was. Also, it would’ve been nice if they had brought us extra blankets immediately instead of us having to ask! I wouldn’t completely rule this place out as I’m sure it’s very nice in the summer, but there is definitely work to be done to make it a better experience for winter guests.

During our visit to Greer, we chose this place n rented a cabin for 2 which has a pond view. We stayed here for 4 days and we loved the place n enjoyed our stay. We have lots of DVDs and Games in the office so that we don’t get bored during a snowy day. Staff here are very helpful as they helped us clear the snow and move our car outside as it got stuck during the snow storm.

My husband and I spent the week in Greer. GLR&C and staff were great. It was a little chilly but the cabin was comfy and felt just like home. I definitely would recommend it if you are coming up to rent from them. The Grey Goose Furnishings Store has handmade items for your home. Check out Molly Butcher Lodge & Restaurant or Edelweiss for a lunch or dinner. Don't forget to hit some of the trails in the area. You'll find trout in the nearby lakes. Come on and enjoy yourselves!

We stayed 2 nights in Cabin #253. It was an enjoyable, relaxing get-away! The communication prior our arrival was excellent! We were notified via text message and check-in and check-out was a breeze! The cabin was clean, and the staff was helpful and very accommodating. We had our meals in house and the kitchen had everything we needed. Thank you for a peaceful weekend. We'll surely come back!

We had such a great time and the view is so green and beautiful. Pine trees as far as the eye can see, it didn't even feel like you were in Arizona. Very Masjestic place

So far, the stay has been amazing! Our cabin is a GREAT size. The cabin itself is a little dated but comfortable and WONDERFUL views. Fun, private trout ponds for relaxed fishing. We will definitely be frequenting this spot regularly now.

We stayed in cabin 97 for 2 days. It was a great experience. We loved the cabin and the employees were terrific. Such a peaceful place to stay. I would only suggest one thing. The shower head should be replaced as it’s painful to take a shower. Feels like needles hitting your body. This did not, by any circumstance, take away from the the wonderful time we had there. Thank you Greer Lodge. Looking forward to our next visit.

Beautiful place but our cabin needed some work. Bathtub didn't drain well and refrigerator rails, racks were missing. We had a great time though.

We scheduled a family reunion at Greer Lodge for 2020. I booked two cabins for my family and my sister's family and paid up front. Due to Covid, we had to cancel and I was given a credit (due to no refunds) that expired on 7/17/21. I had enough of a credit (and more) that I booked what I was told the "only cabin available, #88" for seven days. We drove almost 10 hours to get to Greer Lodge from Texas. Greer was absolutely beautiful, but our cabin was not. We had what appeared to be the most dated cabin, and didn't appear to have been cleaned very well. The bathroom sink was dirty, there wasn't any hand soap, and no bath mats. With a pandemic in place, cleanliness and sanitizing should be a priority. The refrigerator was leaking and the heater made so much noise, we thought some type of animal was trying to break in before we discovered it was the heater. Needless to say, we were extremely disappointed, and ended our trip after only 3 days. Definitely lost our money. It was expensive and a long way to get there for the quality of the cabin.

A little confusion by the staff as to opening time so we showed up an hour early, but the bartender kept us happy! We shared two pizzas between four of us. It was a wonderful afternoon!

Check in is easy and they even allowed us to check in early. The cabin was cute, comfy and clean. The owners and staff are friendly, accommodating and respect guests privacy. The town of Greer is beautiful and quaint and a couple large grocery stores are just a beautiful and peaceful drive of 30 minutes down the hill. You will likely see lots of wildlife near the lodge grounds and on the drive down into town. It couldn’t have been a nicer experience.

This place is awesome! We rented a room this last weekend #256 and from the minute we arrived until the minute we checked out it was bliss. The private ponds are beautiful and the room was super comfortable and clean. I had high expectations for the cost and every expectation I had was better then I could have asked for. From the booking to check out it was made so simple and yet personal. We plan on returning asap and trying out one of the cabins. Thank you for the amazing getaway even though it was short. The stay was worth every penny!

Gorgeous cabin, and gorgeous view.My only complaint is I had accidentally left my keys inside one of the cabins, and when I called they offered to mail me my keys— Which was wonderful and very nice of them, but the following week was me calling every day only to be told they hadn’t mailed them, or the person on shift that day wasn’t aware they had to be mailed out. I’m a little disappointed in the lack of communication as this situation had me and my dog stranded in my friends apartment for a week, and having to buy a new set of car keys. They offered to mail my keys to me, and proceeded not to do so for the following 5 days while seeming irritated at my calls to them almost daily just checking in and asking for an update.

Fantastic place to stay. We've stayed twice now. Last year and this year. the first time we stayed in the 6 person cabin (2 beds, 1 futon couch). this year we stayed in the 8 person (3 beds, 1 fold out couch). I loved the little cabin's placement, right on the river (stream-sized river really). the larger cabin was lovely inside and perfect for our group who all wanted actual beds (4 grown adults, 2 in king room, 1 each on queens in other room). The tub in the master bath was to die for. So much room! the placement wasn't as enticing, but I sure loved the cabin itself. Spending the evening on the porch was a treat. August is the PERFECT time of year to go.The hiking around there is wonderful, had a fun time on multiple trails. the lazy trout convenience store is always staffed by kind people. And the owner of greer lodge is an amazing guy. Kevin literally gave me a pair of his shoes when I got mine soaking wet from ending up in the river at one point on my first day. He's been really kind both times I've been there.10/10 and will be going back over and over.

This was one of the best experiences ever! The gentlemen that owned the place was so nice and got us everything we needed! Everyone was so friendly, always saying hello and seeing if we needed anything! Not to mention the area was so beautiful! They gave us info on some amazing hikes around them! They have cute ponds in the middle of the cabins that was so much fun to fish at! The cabin was clean and very well set up! Love how the lay out was. Also they had super cute deck that my fiancé and I hung out on for hours! We will most definitely be back!

Beautiful place. Kevin and staff were amazing, made us feel like we were visiting friends. Found abundance of small lakes and streams in the area to hike with our dogs. Best of all... sipping coffee, watching sunrise from the rocking chair on porch of cabin room and seeing huge herd of elk grazing out in the meadow. Definitely won't hesitate to stay at Greer Lodge again and highly recommend it to anyone else looking for a little peace and quiet in comfortable style.

Staff was usually 1 person. Ran out of coffee all the time. Rooms are old, nice location though.Nearby activities: Closest to where we needed to go, but overpriced. Need more than 1 person working, sad, they were trying to do everything!

Brought the kids here for Spring Break as we'd never been to Northeastern AZ. The grounds are beautiful! The staff was super friendly. We stayed in a lodge hotel room and it was very clean and cozy. The kids caught a couple of decent sized fish in the pond with rods provided by the lodge. Great escape from the heat. Will definitely try to go again.

Stayed with the family here. Cabins are well done with perfect porch placement for enjoying the beauty of Greer. Sitting on the porch one night we saw a big herd of Elk right out our backdoor and we there in the morning. Saw an Eagle try to catch fish out of their amazing and tranquil fish ponds and that was fun! The girl at the front desk was super nice and shared amazing stories on the wildlife and more. Thank you for everything!

Stayed in a two bedroom, two bathroom vacation dream house! I was very impressed! Everything looked new, well maintained, the perfect getaway spot. I felt so comfortable there!Right outside was a stream, and lounging on the porch listening to it and taking in the awesome view was some of the best relaxing I've ever done. There's a picnic table and comfy outdoor chairs on each porch, plus a gas grill on each, with a charcoal grill only feet away. The staff was pleasant. Made sure I was comfortable about the area and things to do. No complaints at all.Tip #1- choose your visit time of year wisely. I wasn't aware that in April most of the shops and activities are closed for the season, until about mid-May, but the cabin was a home away from home, so this homebody managed to enjoy myself just fine with the scenery and the hiking.Tip #2- fishing is catch and release only in most spots close to the lodge.Tip #3- if you plan to chill out in your room a lot, I would NOT recommend the log motel; but I guess that depends on your taste. Too close to other motels, not very spacious, old-fashioned, just not that great. You'll be glad you went with a cabin!
