So beautiful to go out on. They have kayaks, row boats, and moter boats you can rent. I go every year and it is always fun for me. I camp at grayling campground and it is a easy and quick walk down. The staff is friendly and polite.

Edited in response to owners comment: we didn’t have difficulties managing our reservation. You should have a more well ran operation that when charging battery fees, you mark the rental slip so the kids at dock know what to provide. It was brought to the attention of one of the boys about the trolling motor and they seemed put off about having to find the owner to get it corrected. Also, one of your boats capsized while we were on the lake and your “rescue” crew of two young boys didn’t even have a ladder on the boat to help the man in the water get on the boat safely. You’re a disaster waiting to happen there.Renter beware! If you’re renting a boat from their website, you won’t be getting what is pictured. While there is an * note stating as such, what you get vs what is pictured is quite different. Also, they’ll charge for battery rentals ($15 each, they suggested 2 for us so we paid $30) and the motor on our boat was gas, not electric. Then they hold tight to their no refunds, no exceptions rule. Dock is ran by kids (who look to be 10-16) which might be cute and all but no safety instructions given and you get a 30 second tutorial on how to operate motor. I don’t disagree with other reviewers, their shop does seem to have it all. My rating is for boat rental operations.

Love Big Lake! Love the store! Love the people! They are a little lake store that has all kinds of miscellaneous things in case they are forgotten on your camping and fishing trip. They have ice, gas, propane, fishing tackle, snacks, supplies and knick knacks. You can stop by just to chit chat, find out the fishing DL for the day, rent boats, and even rent a boat and a guide for certain times. It's a must stop if you are at Big Lake for sure!!

Had a wonderful experience our first visit here. Prices were reasonable. There are nice options available even for those on a budget to be able to get out on the lake and have a good time and make memories. As someone else mentioned, they're patient with inexperienced boaters. I was super impressed with the sheer variety of goods available, they have perishible food staples like eggs, butter, milk and I even saw a small selection of fresh produce. Extremely helpful when you're camping and realize you forgot something. There is an understandable $3 convience fee to use a credit/debit card, so if you're long term camping and might make numerous purchases it'll save you a few bucks to bring cash. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. I'd highly recommend this establishment to others.

Rented 18ft pontoon for Tuesday june 27th all day. Ignition did not work properly died if turned to fast, wouldn't shut off, died when put in gear. No anchor only paint cans filled with cement. Front door latch broken, wouldn't stay shut, safety issue. For what you pay maintenance should definitely be better. Didn't expect it to be a yacht but also didn't expect to pay 400.00 for a subpar boat. Save your money.

This a really awesome little shop.. they have boat rentals and everything you can imagine for fishing supplies.. plus drinks, snacks, ice cream and all kinds of shirts and hats!!

Genuine people and a great place to visit.My siblings and I rented a boat here and unfortunately the motor stopped while we were out on the water (apparently we flooded the engine). We were struggling to row the boat back in and without having to ask a few young guys who worked on the dock suddenly came out to bail us out.After we returned to shore we spoke with Joe who runs the shop with his family. Joe discounted our rental, gave us some waters to cool off, and even gave us a discount on fire wood for the evening. He went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of. We have been going here for years and have always been impressed by the people and service. If you're looking to rent a boat this is the place (just don't flood your motor).

This is a beautiful place to go fishing, camping and they have boat rentals. When it's too hot this is a nice place because it's around 9,000 feet elevation. Fresh air, cool water and gorgeous views. I believe you'll love it as much as I do.

We rented the pontoon for a Saturday morning. Everything went smoothly and we were loaded up on the boat in no time. Didn't get many bites, but still had a great time!

Nice place with friendly staff. My partner and I rented a boat for a few hours and the man on the dock was friendly and taught us how to use the motor on the boat. We felt comfortable there and would recommend the experience to other visitors.

Bring cash, they charge you $3 dollars to use a debit/credit card which is ridiculous. And with any place expect high prices so make sure you bring food and drinks.
