Have been going to this clinic for 30 years. The staff is always warm and friendly. They are professional and informative. They always address my concerns and answer my questions. I highly reommend Dr Eels and this staff...Sharon, Laura, Tammy and the rest of the crew!!! Thank you for the care you give me and my dogs.

Glad I have an emergency bill now for something I tried to address a month ago and was shrugged off and told there's nothing to do about it. Damn you acoma animal clinic....Waste of time. Ask them about problems your having with your cat (asthma) and they tell you there's little to be done. Show up for his oral surgery and suddenly they won't do it and try and sell you on 40$ a month steroid injections. Just like the human healthcare industry, every visit is different and the advice changes. Then they still make an attempt to swindle some money out of ya.LISTEN TO YA DANG PATIENTS!!

Save your money and your pet - do not go here. Vet is nice; however, staff is horrible, rude and treat you as an inconvenience. Staff member hung up on me when I asked for my dog's x-rays for the fourth time. Go to Sunburst Animal Hospital. They're better and cheaper.

I took my dog in to have her checked on how her spay stitches were healing. The check up was very quick I was kinda shocked, they handled my anxious dog as well as they possibly could. She’s very scared of vets & groomers because of horrible past experiences sadly but they did well with her. I had a lot of questions and the vet was very patient with me & answered each one thankfully which is great because the staff at AVECC don’t explain anything and get annoyed at questions. Wish I came here from the start instead of the ER vet but they get booked pretty fast. I will definitely be back here in the future though, all the staff are great :)

We’ve been coming to Acoma for 5 years, ever since my husband did a walk in appointment for our suddenly critically ill dog. Dr. Eells treated my husband and our dog with kindness and compassion. The team at Acoma have helped us with two end of life appointments and referred us to an in-home euthanasia vet during COVID when our elderly dog was actively dying and we had a newborn. I have always felt heard, had my questions answered, and been able to talk through all the options and ask for Dr. Eells’ opinion on what course of action to take. We feel as though she has always given us moderate options and have never felt forced into a treatment or diagnostic test that wasn’t necessary. The staff are kind, friendly, they recognize and know us by name and are always patient when I have to bring my kids. I know it’s hard to be treating pets and talking to owners while their kids are interrupting but everyone has always been really patient with us. It has been really hard since the other vets retired and sometimes getting an appointment is a challenge but we’re with Acoma for the long haul!Today, October 16, we rushed our 5 year old dog into the office 5 minutes after they opened because she had been vomiting blood over the weekend. We tried AVECCC and it wasn’t a good experience for us. Acoma was able to fit us in as walk ins right away, we did X-rays and got medications and a treatment plan in an hour. It was far more affordable, too. I asked questions about what to look for, when to come back if needed, etc and feel good about bringing our dog home. If you do have to go as a walk in, try to go early and be prepared to wait but they will do their best to see you next a timely manner. Thank you for 5 years of compassionate care of our critters and us humans!

I took my new dog there to have her checked out and got her shots. I had found her abandoned, scared, starving, and filthy at my office parking lot. The vet got her in, checked her out, and she is doing good now. I posted a pic of her after 3 hours after cutting her hair and a bath. Here's a pic of her the day I found her and one of her now.

I do not recommend this place I spent $1,000 to get my little buddy better and they sent me home after a week and told me she'll get better and she's fine now and instead she died three weeks later after trying to make me come back in to spend more money to see what was wrong

Dr Eells is so sweet and takes time. They treated my new puppy like it was their own! It's much more costly than my usual vet but they are very understanding if you choose to use additional outside sources. They have a puppy package available for new additions to the family which is nice. Pebbles and I say, THANKS!

I've been going here for 3.5 years. Vet is nice enough to the animals. The front office is short, rude, uncaring and gives you the impression that you're an inconvenience by showing up.All that aside... FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO GO! They are so expensive!!!! Cost does not equal quality this situation.

We have used Dr Burnham & Dr McConaughey for over 20 years. They are the best , honest , hands on, experienced vets. I will never trust another clinic with my pets as I have trusted these doctors. They have the know how and years of experience to care for our pets. They will be greatly missed and are highly appreciated for the many years of service they have given my family.

Doesn't look like I'll be taking my animals there anymore. Me and my family have been using acoma for 25 years. I recently got a new puppy. I live about 45 minutes away and I was quoted at my old vet $650 for a spay, microchip, and rabies. And also with that everything included. I called acoma a couple days ago and I was quoted $450 for it all. Plus $60 to set up care. Which was fine. Cause I was still saving $140 in the long run. So I come in today and I was told my puppy looked and sounded good. So I pay $60 for the exam fee. (Which I knew about) and then I was handed the spay quote. Guess what I was quoted.... $650. And $550 on the low end. Which is not what I was quoted over the phone. Manager told me "I can assure you, you weren't quoted for the spay plus the rabies and microchip... you were only quoted the spay"... I called and spent a lot of time on the phone making sure I was saving money. ON TOP of all of that I asked for higher management and Tami told me that she was it.... How unprofessional... she also talked over me the entire phone call that was 25 minutes long... been going there for 25 years and still no respect. So I basically paid $60 today for them to tell me my dog looks good and then to be given the same quote as I had already received.I believe that quoting someone to get them in the door and then charging them more is a no no.Editing to add. MONTHS ago. I brought in my elderly dog to have his nails clipped. The groomer took him back at the back door. Everything was great. When I went to go pick him up, she almost allowed him to jump off the table.... He would have obviously broken something. And THEN she hit his head with the door. He was BLIND. Never made a review cause I thought it was a fluke. But I now know today it wasn't.

We just happened to come across Acoma Animal Clinic shortly after we rescued our first pup two years ago. We have since extended our fur family with two more dogs and still only rely on Acoma Animal Clinic! I cannot say enough kind words about this clinic and their staff! They truly treat their clients pets as their own and we sincerely look forward to the future years of care!

I took my German Shepherd in for an open sore on his hip and they quoted me $540 for the removal of it. I didn't have the money at the time. I came back in nine months later with the paper that had the original quote on it. The sore was only about 10% bigger but they wanted to charge me $900 the second time around. Obviously they cared about the money more than my dog. I had the $540 in my hand and they wouldn't honor it. 6 months later I had to put him down so their greed basically killed my dog.25 years ago I went to this clinic and had a Husky/Malamute that had a lump. I gave them the go ahead on the surgery and during surgery they found five more lumps. They removed them as well and only charged me $250. A lot can change in 25 years.

Absolutely Amazing! Dr. Eells is so kind and loving. She did surgery on my dog and gave me all the information and more on my dog. I am so thankful for everyone at this clinic and how they have all treated my pets. From grooming to front staff, techs and doctors. AMAZING

I came here for my dogs recurring ear infection. I used to go to Ambassador, but did not want to go back since they changed hands. I was looking for somewhere else that was reasonably priced. This place had the least expensive exam rate. First, I was first surprised by the lack of seating and space in the exam room, if you are the slightest bit overweight, there is no room for you to sit. Also, I was charged $42osteitis for a follow-up visi a week later. I haven't been charged for a follow-up before, so they may be less expensive for their exam, but they get you on the back end, if I would have known I wouldn't have went to here.

I took my dog in and was greeted by the nicest staff. They showered my boy with love and made him feel comfortable during a covid pet visit. They also easily trimmed his nails and had him looking so handsome. Definitely my forever vet!

My dog was so sick last year and I thought I was going to lose her. I brought her to Acoma Animal Clinic because they were the only vet near me that would see her right then, my regular vet would not get her in for a week. They took her blood and checked her vitals. The second they got the results they called me and told me to bring her back right away because of her blood cell count, she had to have an emergency spay surgery due to Pyometra. When I got the quote for her surgery, I thought they made a mistake because it was so affordable compared to my old vet. The price also included a follow up visit. They remembered who we were when I took her in for a follow up, which never happened at my old vet’s office. I will NEVER take my dog to another vet. They cared for her like she was their dog, and they SAVED HER LIFE. I am forever grateful to the staff and the vets here. I am a customer for life. Thank you Acoma animal clinic.

I will NEVER take one of my pets back to Acoma! My dog had a major surgery there this week, it’s been 4 days now and have not received any follow up call on how my pet is doing. I only used them this time because our regular vet is booked out for spaying and I feared my dog would go into heat if I waited. Her sutures are drawn so tightly that she will heal with a significant pucker on the uneven seem from her spay. I would not recommend them to anyone. If you love your pet, seek quality, professional care. You won’t get it at Acoma!

We've used Acoma for about 8 years now for both of our dogs. Dr. Eells took excellent care of our Boston Terrier from 2012 (when we moved into the neighborhood) up until we lost him last year. They still get the joys of having our sassy kind of a jerk chihuahua as a patient and a client in the grooming salon. I swear, those grooming ladies are the ONLY people who have ever successfully cut his nails. We tried taking him to Petsmart once and not five minutes later got a call that we had to come back and get him. This whole place is wonderful. The front desk staff, the techs, the doctors, the groomers. All of them.

I have never felt so taken advantage of. Female blonde doctor(she never introduced herself) spent no more than 1 minute in the room with me, talking over me. She gave my dog a diagnosis I've never heard of. Do you think she explained it to me? Nope. She Just prescribed medicine, said the instructions were on the bottle and left the room. I went back because I was giving her the benefit of the doubt for a follow up visit and still she could not bother to spend more than 5 minutes in the room(charged a full exam charge for a follow up- never heard of that). She had prescribed 3 medications and all of my dogs symptoms are worse. So i had questions ready this time and i quickly asked them to the assistant(who was nice). I had no idea that my questions about why certain things are happening to my dog meant that i wanted tests that added up to hundreds of dollars. She did not tell me she was going to perform these tests, nor did I ask for them. She showed no concern for the welfare of my dog but rather how fast she could prescribe my dog medicine and get us out of there. The last thing she said was that the medication expires soon so I need to come back. What a scheme to take advantage of people who love and care for their furbabies. When I got to the front desk and was surprised by all of the charges, the from desk old lady just barked out what the doctor had put on their and that was that.I am saddened to find another professional that only wants to squeeze people of their money and dare them to ask questions.

We have used them for all 4 of our dogs for approximately the last 10 years. They are kind, caring, and reasonably priced. When it has been time to put a dog to sleep, they have always been incredibly comforting, and allow you to stay in the room as long as you need.

We were traveling from out of town and our puppy came down with a very serious illness and I credit the doctors for saving his life. We originally went to another vet where they referred our puppy to a hospital, the hospital did not give us any hope but we were not ready to let him go. We found Acoma and they did not give up on our little guy! They had us bring him in twice a day for 5 days to get fluids, check up and medication, if it wasn’t for there experience, knowledge and reassurance I do not know what we would have done. If we lived in the area this would be our Vet and all our fur babies would be patients! Thank you so much Acoma!!

This Vet used to be amazing we have taken our dogs there for years however now they can never see our pets in a timely manner after several attempts in the last several months to get care it is blatantly apparent the overall health of their existing patients is not an importance yet they continuously email about shopping on line opportunities with them. The grooming team remains outstanding!!!

I’ve take all 3 of my Rottweilers to Acoma to see Dr Eells for close to 3-4 years now. She’s fabulous with them even though they can be “bratty and mouthy”. I appreciate her bedside manner with my pups. Always answers all of my questions and concerns. The office calls within 2-3 days of an appointment to check on them and follow up with any issues that may develop. I highly recommend this vet office to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, kind and caring office.

Long wait times on phones. When finally get through to someone, they rush the call. Same issue when arriving for appt. I paid for an exam but the woman veterinarian treated me like I walked in off the street. She didn't seem to want to deal with me. Rushing service is what this clinic is about. You are not even able to see your pet being treated. They do exams in a room away from your view. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone. Go somewhere else.
