My dog was bitten and had an open sore on his hind leg. My dog Obi is a German shepherd and a very gentle dog he never complained. I wasn't aware of the open sore until I saw it before going to work. His regular veterinary could not see him for a month although I explained the situation. 43rd Avenue Animal Hospital cared enough to see Obi immediately. I highly recommend everyone to go here, the Doctor and staff are amazing. I am very happy!!

This veterinarian office is the best. We've taken our dogs there for 3 and 1/2 years. They are always reasonably priced and they really care about our pets. They even do follow-ups, text or calls just to see how they're doing. I would recommend them to anyone and I recommended them to my family and friends.

Omg 5 stars are not enough! I called yesterday to get a quote for my matted kitty and they were able to get my Honey in the next day. Everyone was so polite and sweet. I was a wreck when I went to drop her office but the nurse was so sweet to me. She answered all my questions. Made me feel so comfortable when I left her there. I will start coming for all 3 of my cats! So grateful they were able to take care of Honey. Thank you again!

In a matter of 12 hrs time our poor baby went from favoring his back foot to total paralysis in both back legs. 2 opinions later we hoped for a little miracle and we may have found an option. So understanding and hopeful the entire staff. We have started with acupuncture and after only 1 session I see small improvements. We were told twice he would likely not get much better, but y'all give us hope! Thank you for that your caring and compassion from everybody in your office truly lifted our spirits!

Three reasons I won’t be taking my puppy back to this vet office.First the vet tech was rude and dismissive the day of our appointment. I wanted to give her the benefit of doubt because we are all human and have bad days but unfortunately there’s more.Second they took over 7 days to get my puppy dewormer. I’ve spoken to other vets since and they said that should have been a same day medication. Parasites are dangerous for dogs and can be life threatening to puppies.Lastly they told me that my puppy could spread her parasites (roundworm) by licking my hand or by chewing a chew toy. This is entirely false. Imagine trying to keep a puppy from licking, mouthing or chewing anything not gonna happen. Or imagine trying to constantly sterilize every that a puppy puts to its mouth. Plus mouthing and chewing on toys is a very important developmental phase for a puppy.I hope this feedback helps people looking for a new veterinarian office but mostly I hope it helps this office so they can make necessary changes.…….There’s no spot to respond to their response so I’ll do it here.This response makes me feel gaslit.Like I said the tech was rude to me period. Maybe she was having a bad day but that is how she was acting very rude.The employee at the front desk told me if my puppy licked my hands I would get round worm. Working at a vet and spreading misinformation about animal health and welfare is dangerous.Finally you should definitely have basic dewormer available. This is a very basic med that lots of puppies and dogs need regularly.My original feedback was thoughtful, straightforward and informative. After reading this vet office’s response I retract my statement that I hope this information helps them improve. I hope they get investigated and get shut down.

Last December I brought my 2 dogs and 3 cats in as new patients one at a time. Checkups for the dogs. The cats all had a cold. When one was getting worse, I attempted to be seen again but no luck. This time a very uncaring individual at the desk. His tone, demeanor and lack of empathy. My animals are family. I felt my cat was suffering through this and was trying to help him. This person had an oh well attitude, not concerned that my cat was ill. I have not been back. I get all the emails advertising. Recently I got an email to bring Chubsz in for specific care or procedure. I sent a reply that I wouldn't be back. They weren't concerned. They just replied ok, we'll take you off the list. They Really don't care or they would have asked why. I'm disappointed 43rd. Guess you only care about some.

They always take such good care of my 16 year old chihuahua, they are always quick to get him in and are very compassionate. I trust them the most with my dogs care. They work with you when money is an issue helping decide what is the most important. Very glad to have my baby be a patient here!

I’ve been taking my dogs to 43rd Ave for a number of years now and they are awesome! I sadly had to say goodbye to 2 of my dogs within the past 2 years and everyone at 43rd Ave was exceptional!! They were so kind and compassionate. They treated my girls as though they were their own as I was saying goodbye to them. I will always take my fur kids to Dr. Darmofal and Dr. Striyle and the amazing staff at 43rd Ave Animal Hospital!!! They do what needs to be done for their patients, but they don’t push services unnecessarily and they respect the owner’s choices. I can’t say enough good things about them!!

My aunt came in to this establishment and they were very unprofessional. First off we came in to the office knowing what was wrong with her cat all we asked was for antibiotics because the cat had got into a fight or was bite by something so there was an infection in the cats mouth that made his whole mouth swell and there was a horrible smell so we knew it was an infection. Long story short they kept pushing for X-rays after we told them multiple times thats not what was needed her cat just need antibiotics. Due to the circumstances we were very upset and heartbroken that her animal was in excruciating pain she just wanted him to feel better. They had convinced us that her cat was hit by a car and his jaw was dislocated and he needed X-rays. They completely played in on her emotions after we explained my aunt was on a fixed income. They continued to do the X-rays after all this went on and all we originally wanted was antibiotics for her cat. we then left with a $600 bill that we couldn’t afford, but had no choice to pay when we just went in there for an abscess and explained multiple times we just need antibiotics we called to see if they can make things right they refused, were extremely unprofessional and rude, and will not give us a refund for the unneeded X-rays.

Dr. Striyle is hands down the BEST veterinarian we've ever been to. My dog loves her and the entire staff, which is a huge plus. You can tell that they love what they do and adore animals. I always feel at ease telling them the concerns I have about my pup and they've always been nothing but sweet, patient, and caring. Furthermore, the communication is exceptional to the point where they even send cute personalized Happy Birthday messages.

The front desk staff was AMAZING and very helpful. I have an 18 week old pup named Arlo and he recently went to 43rd ave hospital for the first time due to an ear infection and Dr. Darmofal attended to Arlo very quick along with his amazing nurse Ash and my fur baby is already doing amazing! The prices are also very affordable and they have so many different payment methods! Definitely will be making this our vet. Thank you again!

We've had a Banfield wellness plan for a year on two puppies. The folks in Biltmore at the standalone clinic were fantastic, but their specialized service is rather limited. We went to 43rd for heart diagnosis and imaging and even though we ended up opting out, the staff and the doctors are incredible. They have a way of simplifying procedures and explanations and they make you feel like you have a partener in your pup's health.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would this hospital is the greatest place I’ve ever been to recently my yorkie got sick and no one could get us in but they took her in right away and helped me with everything and I couldn’t have been more thankful for them and a few months after I got my Doberman and took him there for his puppy vaccines and they are the best with him he’s always happy to go especially when I turn into the parking lot he has to jump on to the counters and say hi to everyone and they all adore him and make visits to easy for him and give the best tips when needed I recently took him in for stomach sensitivity and he did his best not to be nervous and gave everyone kisses and was so happy especially when he saw Ashley and Allison who he’s know since say one and can’t forget about his doctor but as much as I can say I love this place I truly mean it they are the biggest blessing in our lives

I have a fear reactive dog and he can be a handful in scary situations. Dr Striyle and her staff are great at handling my boy without judgement and as stress/fear free as possible. The staff is always friendly and accommodating of our special needs. The prices of services are reasonable and they also accept Care Credit which is great if you need an expensive procedure.

They take excellent care of my Lady. My dog has been a patient here for years.Just recently had an infection and had to stay there for a couple of hours for examination and treatment. First I was happy they were able to see her the next day once I noticed the symptoms. Before i dropped her off I was told what to expect even an approximate price for the visit. While in their care I received calls from the vet who examined her and took the time to explained reasoning for the type of infection, also received a call from the nurse to update me on price and get consent for medications to be administered.When I picked up my dog she was happy to see me but not anxious or overwhelmed as she sometimes is when going to groomers. She was comfortable being in their care.Today I received a follow up call.Overall I'm thankful that they have taken such great care of my doggo. Thanks guys!
