The staff is super friendly and they are always supportive. They made sure to do regular follow ups after every checkup. We had emergency with our dog and they scheduled appointment for us at the last minute. Doctor Mafara is one of the best in the industry. His diagnosis is correct 100% of the time. I would 100% recommend this place for your pets.

Used to love this clinic but now they are only looking to make money. My dog has had valley fever for 4 years, she has been on meds the whole time. I used to get her blood work done once a year just to confirm nothing has changed. Now they won't refill her prescription unless I get her blood work done every 6 months even though they know nothing is going to change. Very disappointing that they are all about money now.

I often feel like they care for our cats as much as we do. They know who each of them are, know their personalities, and they discuss their care with compassion, sensitivity and with full consideration. If only they could mentor other health care professionals for humans.

The staff here has been an amazing help with our dog Cali, who was born with a chronic lung disease. Dr. Barich is so kind, and willing to try anything and everything to find the solutions he felt were best. Before coming to EVAH, Cali had coughing/vomiting episodes on a monthly basis, and nothing was seeming to help. Today, Cali is stable, happier, and healthier than she ever has been and we owe it to the team here. We are so grateful!

Found this place through my insurance company. Front desk staff was nice, my vet tech was nice, but unfortunately won't be returning. My 75lb large mix breed has been limping and to my frustration, the "relief vet" who saw her did not physically touch my dog during the appointment (so glad I payed an exam fee for her to just "expertly" sit and watch by dog lay on the ground of the exam room). Upon entering the room, then gave me the unfortunate news that surgery was my only option for a cruciate ligament rupture. She then recommended sedated x-rays to schedule before surgery- although she could not tell me the type of surgery that this hospital offered (TPLO or TTA). After our 5 minute hands-off appointment, the front desk informed me Dr. Mufara is not board certified for the procedure he will could performing and therefore that there can be a "weight limit" to the procedures he can perform... remember by dog is a large 75lb mix breed. It is disheartening to leave with such a terrible gut feeling after the lack of examination and the principle of recommending surgery while also failing to even know the type of procedure, limitation to the procedure, and lack of credentialing.

Due to moving I have been to a few vets in my years but I truly love this veterinary office! Everyone is so helpful and always willing to answer my many questions lol! My pup has never tried to go back into the vet office until now. She doesn’t want to leave because everyone lives on her so much! They get 5 stars from me and Sierra (my pup)!

I’m a new client for East Valley Animal Hospital, and I won’t go anywhere else now! I took my cats in for wellness exams and updates to their vaccines, and the whole experience has been so great. All my questions were answered, I didn’t feel rushed, and the prices are very reasonable. The organization of the hospital and the friendliness of the staff have been amazing, and they seem to really care about your pets (even if your cat is a little sassy during the exam). I’ve had lackluster care and support from other vet clinics in the area, so I am so happy I found them!

Recently, we had to make the difficult decision to say goodbye to our old girl. Her legs failed her overnight and she couldn't walk anymore. The next morning I called around, trying to find somewhere who could help us same day but either they were fully booked or were charging extortionate prices. Then, along came East Valley Animal Hospital. I spoke with Rachael who was incredibly sympathetic and understanding and was able to get us in same day. When we arrived, they had a special room set up for us with calming music, a couch and a bedding with a blanket. Suffice to say, the whole team were so sweet and thoughtful and treated our girl with respect and love to the last. We opted for an individual cremation and received her ashes home within a week. The pricing was reasonable and we received a beautiful box that contained her ashes, with her name engraved and a pawprint. It isn't easy to recommend a service like this but, if you are also making the tough decision to part with your pet, I couldn't recommend a better place than East Valley Animal Hospital.

Unsafe and uncaring - avoid at all costsI brought my young healthy little girl Tufty to this facility for a routine dental. Four days later she was dead due to mistakes made by the doctors and technicians.After the surgery, she was very listless and did not want to drink or eat. We immediately contacted the vet tech to tell her there was a problem. They assured us this was normal.The next day she was much worse. We contacted the vet tech and she again told us this was normal and we should not worry. We insisted on an appointment. They grudgingly allowed us to come in to see Doctor Mafara.When he entered, he didn't seem very interested and acted like we were wasting his time. We had to argue to convince him to do a blood test. An hour and ten minutes later he returned and was very evasive (these blood tests take around thirty minutes to run). After hemming and hawing for two or three minutes, he said her kidney values were not good. In fact, her values were so bad they could not be tracked by the machine. Since they were about to close, he said there wasn't much they could do to help her.We immediately rushed her to the local hospital AVECCC. They tried to help her but it was too late. She suffered and struggled for a few days but the damage to her kidneys was too severe. After her death, the AVECCC doctors talked us through the mistakes that the East Valley technicians had probably made. They had not carefully monitored her fluid levels during surgery or in after care, or they had improperly administered the NSAID-based anti-inflammatory, or they did not monitor her blood pressure correctly. I had to take her to a completely different facility to find out what happened and to get help.At no time did any technician or doctor at East Valley show any interest in her problems. While my little girl was suffering, they showed no urgency at all to help her. They were too busy laughing and joking with the perfectly healthy animals in the waiting room. I contacted them after her death but they have not apologized or even attempted to explain how they will change procedures to prevent this from happening again.My little girl suffered a painful unnecessary death due to the carelessness and cruelty of this horrible group of people. Her happy life was stolen from her. If you truly care about your pets, keep them from far away from this place."Dr" Mafara will probably say that he has never seen anything like this before. It was simply a rare complication. This speaks to his inexperience because many other vets have seen these problems. And could point to the most likely causes.

I have been taking my 8 fur babies here for quite some time. I'm in love with the staff and the doctors. They care, they follow up and they work with you and yes they are reasonable when it comes to price. They have consoled us through some of our losses and truly take time to care. I wouldn't want to go any where else.

It was the unfortunate circumstance we had to put our 11-year-old Doberman down. We didn't know what veterinarian to go to as it had been along time since we took our dog to the vet. Let me just tell you this place was amazing. Dr. Connley and her staff impressed me greatly.

I thought I was calling my normal vet when I made an appointment here. I was surprised that they didn’t have my info already. After making the appointment I looked up the address and realized it wasn’t my usual place! I am SO glad I made that mistake! This vet is amazing! I had the best experience here. They took such great care of my sweet kitty boy and was sure to check on him a few times after he went home to make sure he was making a full recovery. They genuinely care here. It’s not all about the money for them. I will be moving over to this vet from now on ❤️

I was reading one of the reviews from one of your other clients after having his dog put down when he woke up and couldn't walk anymore. I would like to share my experience with the staff there they were great to me he was so special out of all the dogs I've ever had Chase he woke up one morning he was completely blind and couldn't walk I held on for a week hoping and praying he would and be well I named Chase because I was always chasing him when he was a puppy he would have been 5 in May I miss him so much I'm devastated by this but I got to see him to his last breath all my neighbors and Friends they don't know what to say because he had to go see them everyday but I would like to say I will never use another vet again with the Lord I will be blessed with another special one just like him!Thank you so much for your kindness...

I loved my experience here. They took care of my Bengal cat and did it well in my price range, called to check how he was doing following the visit, and were all super professional and caring at the same time. I didn't have a wait before being brought back to the room at all, my appointment was a little early however; after 9am. The vet was also very time efficient and seemed to love her job which made the vet visit in general so much better. I was in and out of the office in a timely manner and it was affordable health care for my cat. Thank you guys for all you do!!! I will be returning :)

And when I brought my dog in for a possible tumor, Dr. Mafara made sure to explain everything simply, and was even able to set us up with a treatment that works (after years of searching) for my pups awful allergies. I feel extremely confident that my pets are healthy and getting the best care. Plus the prices are really reasonable.

The staff here is so kind and caring. They've been so wonderful with cards and emails for check up reminders and birthdays. I recently had to put our beloved 16 year old dog to rest and they were so incredibly humane and gentle about the entire experience. We arrived for our appointment and they had a room set up for us with a large soft bed on the floor with a blanket, pillow, a plush toy, and soft music playing. They gave us as much time as we needed before and after and the Dr was incredibly compassionate.

My experience with East Valley animal Hospital and in particular one person that works there who was very abrasive and rude and had an attitude from the second I walked through the door! I was exactly 5 minutes late walking through the door but was in the parking lot in front of the building for 10 minutes so she proceeded to tell me that I was late and will have to wait for a while there was no other person or individuals in the sitting room at that time..The situation was so bad when I said I think I will go to another vet she probably said to me that’s fine! maybe they have way too much business that they do not need to use common courtesy the way they talk to individuals!! I am very upset and would never recommend this Veterinarian to any of my friends or family!
