This place is great! My dog is a big dog, but not a super big dog (about 62 lbs), and he’s very gentle. However, groomer’s want to charge an arm and leg to just bathe and brush him. When I saw Barking Dogs has a self serve washing station I figured I would give it a try. They have everything you need, shampoo, brushes, a blow dryer (which did spook my dog pretty bad so I also used the towel provided), etc. I was a little worried because my dog gets anxiety, but it went just fine… he got to pick out a treat in the end so that made him happy. They do have actual groomers you can book an appointment with here too, which is also nice for when you don’t want to wash your dog yourself or it’s too difficult. But they do have other services you can add on, even if you’re using the self wash, such as nail trimming and hot oil treatment. The staff were also very helpful, friendly and professional. I’m very happy with my experience here and we’ll definitely be returning!

Always friendly and knowledgeable staff. They helped us find the perfect food for our allergy sensitive dog. And love using the self wash, so easy and they supply everything you may need. Definitely recommend for your fur baby.

The staff members here are the absolute best! They are knowledgeable, kind and caring :) Our dog is a tiny 5 pound (if that!) skittish Chihuahua, who’s 15 years old, blind and deaf, and detests getting his nails clipped. These gals take such care and exhibit the utmost patience and kindness while caring for him during his nail trim visits. They also have a “do it yourself” washing station and all kinds of great pet food and pet products too! We love this place and tell everyone about it!

Extremely disappointed. Been taking by dog their for years. Paying well over 100 each visit. Plus 20% tip. Now, 10 days before next app, told Taylor left. I explained that Taylor had not groomed my dog for months. It has been Adrianna. Next with Adrianna, early April. Been going to fire them. Last straw! Done! Again! Very disappointing!So no responsibility on your part! Ok!Barking Dogs (Owner)20 minutes agoHi David, we apologize for the clerical error, but at one point when you did groom with Taylor, we put her initials next to your name so we know that it would be her grooming client. At some point when you moved to Adriana, the initials for Taylor was not removed from your name so when you booked your appointment, they must have just booked you with Taylor seeing the initials there. Taylor was with us for six years, but has since moved on so we were calling and moving her clients to other groomers and that’s where the clerical air came in. I’m sorry for the confusion, if you would like our Mesa location is not booked out quite as far and we can get you in sooner. Otherwise we understand. Take care.

Yes!! My dog loves it here! The ladies always say she such a good dog. They take great care of her and she always comes out smelling sooo good- she also loves the duck hearts they have! Great group of groomers in there! Lil bit thinks she's a princess when she leaves! 💖

Such an amazing place! My fiancé and I have been bringing our old English sheep dog here for awhile and we just adopted a dog last we and brought him in for a self wash. They as always took such great care of us there. Which was more meaningful today because he needs love and care since he was rescued from an abusive home. I drive 1 hour to get to this place and it’s always a great experience. Well worth it.

Go here if you want your dog carried by the harness or clipped to the skin in random patches. Also, unexplained eye injuries may occur.In response to the owner's comment below: You have sent me nothing, so you may want to check again. However, I have viewed your "video evidence" and it in no way shows the injury "happened at home." Below is a photo of the dog’s eye upon pick up and your manager admitted it was caused by your groomer (hence she provided eye drops). The video footage additionally shows your groomer carrying the dog by its harness (see screenshot below). Your threats are not going to slience me from warning other customers. Your googled legal terms however are noted. Lol

I brought my dog in for a bath and a nail trim. When I dropped her off they physically dragged her to the back, with no encouragement or anything to calm her. After charging me more than what was quoted they brought her out and told me they did not trim her nails because she was being difficult, but still charged me for doing her nails, and added a charge because she was being difficult. I now have her at home and it appears as if they did not bathe her. It looks like they just put oil on her and brushed her. After inspecting further I found areas where fur is missing, and her gentiles, legs, and belly area are covered in what appear to be scratches and rashes. I was not informed of any sort of injuries or irritation from them when I picked her up. I am extremely upset and will not be taking my dog here again.I have never had any problems or complaints about her before from any other place. If my dog was truly being difficult they could have called me to pick her up at any point during the hour she was there.

Manager Taylor is amazing. She is so helpful and a great groomer. My dogs look so cute. I'm grateful to have a local place I can take my pups for their grooming and know they will be loved and taken care of during the process.

Just took our poodle to get her hair cut. Sue the groomer was wonderful, my dog calmed down once in her arms. And she asked me what I wanted done. Not just doing what they wanted. Excellent place.

What an amazing experience at the Barking dog self wash! We brought three dogs in there today and used their self wash stalls and it was great. The staff was so amazing and friendly with great advise and tips! Very personable and loving... I love spending money at locally owned businesses like this! My boyfriend was having problems with his card when trying to pay and the cashier paid for one of the dog washes as a Christmas gift! Come in here and get some Dog food /treats people!!!! Lovely place lovely people lovely service! Thank you for taking care of the fur babies in the area!!

I typically have a good experience with Barking Dogs, however I went in today to get my dog a nail trim. When I paid, I asked them to add a 20% tip for the groomer. However, when I asked for the receipt I noticed that they charged over 33% tip. While waiting about 25 minutes for my dog’s service I bought dog treats and did not ask for a receipt. I can’t help but feel I was ripped off by them, which makes me question Barking Dogs ethics.

My go-to stop for my kids (bulldogs). From healthy food and treat options to grooming etc Barking dogs is my first stop. They have an array of options, everyone is knowledgeable and helpful and I feel a lil less like a failure as a bulldog mom thanks to their help.

We absolutely love Barking Dogs. The team is knowledgeable about the different dog foods and allergies. We had just started doing here for our food and then we got a new puppy. Our puppy was still on milk and Alicia was able to help us find the best milk replacement and help us build a weaning plan to dog food. We continued to buy from them for a year and then ran into a production/shipping issue with the brand we were on and Shannon helped us find a few bags. After a few months of continued issues with the brand, she helped educate us and switch to a comparable brand. Everyone is so friendly and you feel like a valued customer just walking in the door.

Iwant to first say, this is the first time I've done a review but really found it necessary for others new to the area I would like to warn anyone using the self serve dog wash. If you have a larger dog that can't jump up, even the lowest wash area is high ( there are only 2). There are no steps for your pet to use and the wash area itself is fiberglass and EXTREMELY slippery. I had to lift my boys backend up.I asked if they had a mat to put in the wash area and they said they were sorry but no. I've taken my 11 1/2 year old dog to numerous other washes and never had this problem and been so disappointed. I'm sorry I just didn't leave but I didn't.

Barking Dogs has proven to be our saving grace! Several groomers later, we found Barking Dogs. Not only do they carry an excellent product array, but they also carry an excellent array of people products!Follow my thinking: Excellent Customer Service! Excellent Groomers! And the Self Wash offering is just amazing!Genuine Customer Service is not the norm in our society and these folks are an exceptional example of being contrary to that truth!Amazing Stuff!!!
