This looks like a dive at first but I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable and clean it was! It’s no Hilton, but definitely a good spot to stop for a day or two! I stayed 3 nights and was comfortable. The beds are a bit on the firm side, but I didn’t wake up with a sore back, so can’t complain. There is a train track across the street, but they don’t blow their whistle so all you hear is a bit of a rumble as they pass.

Dars and Ashley at the reception desk were both accommodating and super friendly! When I first booked the hotel, Dars suggested that I call when I was about an hour away so they could turn on the a/c in my room. They apparently turned it on in two rooms because when I got there, Ashley had a form for an upstairs room ready for me to sign. One look at my wrinkles old face and she suddenly handed me keys for a room on the first floor. I loved that! It's newly renovated, easy to find and has plenty of parking. Breakfast is served from 6-9am but I wanted to get on the road by 8am so I cleaned out the room then drove to the reception area and turned in my keys. I didn't see what all they had for breakfast but I asked Dars if it was okay to take a pastry and some blueberry muffins. He encouraged me to take whatever I wanted and even offered me a plate to take with me. It was the cheapest place I could find and I recommend it highly! I will be staying there again on my return trip.Rooms: Large room with coffee maker. Also, very important... A decent sized refrigerator AND a freezer!Safety: I only met two young Hispanic men as I was driving to my room. I stopped to tell them that the room numbers by the doors were awfully small and hard to read. They didn't understand English so I spoke to them in Spanish. Never, ever type-cast or discriminate!

We stayed here one night and just needed a place to sleep and shower. It's totally fine for that. It's a very small town in the middle of nowhere so the options are limited. The room was a good size and clean enough. The staff is really friendly and helpful supplying extra towels, coffee, etc. The shower is not good - the water doesn't drain so you're standing in bath water by the time you're done. Overall, it's a motel and a reasonably acceptable one. There seems to be some longer term guests that appear to maybe work in the area.

I loved this hidden little place. They had mini refrigerators with freezers the rooms were cute large and newly remodeled the staff was extremely friendly they had a working ice machine which is needed in arizona. They had a mini breakfast and all day oatmeal packets coffee tea etc. The location surrounding the motel was mostly shut down buildings so finding this inexpensive gem was great. They charge by person not bed and 15 for our pet stay so it totaled 80 bucks for 2 people 2 bed and a dog. Thanks for the great stay loved this place

Wish I could rate this hotel based on the stay- but we didn’t even actually get that far. I booked through Expedia at 10:00 pm at night. Got to the hotel around 11:30pm. No one was there to check us in. We called. We rang. We called again and again. Expedia called. And called. Nothing. If you plan on arriving late- dont book here. THEN!!! They refused to reimburse the room I was charged for- after they were not there to check us in. Save the time and trouble- Book across the street at Best Western. They were open- had vacancy- and were polite and room was awesome.Sorry Gila Bend Lodge. Right is right and you should have reimbursed the room.At least they did update their policy for no check in after 12 am. It did not state this prior on Expedia. Per my view or Expedia’s concierge view.Safety: Not safe.

The place was great to me because the location was right off if 8 hwy and within 1 minute you are back on the highway. There were gas stations almost next door. And the place was super easy to find.My room was very clean and it had faux wood floors, so no rug to trap odors, and was nicely decorated. There was a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, ac/heater, huge shower, large screen TV with access to free shows,, well stocked with towels and toilet paper and in the morning after 6am the front office has a variety of breakfast items like oatmeal, fruit, Danish, donuts, etc. And of course coffee and tea.The grounds were not the nicest but not horrible. The staff does keep things in well maintained.Mr Patel was the manager on duty and is efficient, smart, welcoming and patient. He is an asset to this hotel for sure. Very professional and had everything ready when I got there and also was very communicative about things I did not even think of so it shows that he is very conscientious about a guest particular situations even if they are not.If I find myself traveling between Tuscon and Southern California again I would definitely stay there again. The place was very quiet and there was plenty of parking close to your room so you can jeep an eye on your vehicle from your room. The bed was overly firm for my tastes, but I would rather too firm than too soft. Next time I visit there hotel I will bring a bed pad or couple comforters.I could hear the freeway a bit and since this hotel is by gas stations and truck stops you would have semi's driving close to hotel. So I grabbed my ear plugs and it blocked out all noise. I recommend if you stay there to have ear plugs...actually always have ear plugs because even 5 star hotels can be noisy.I recommend the quaint hotel if you ever find yourself driving by Gila Bend, AZ on highway 8.

Very clean, easy to get to, priced right. Not too much in town, but I was very happy with my stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone. Breakfast was limited due to COVID, but I ate well and have no complaints. Pool looked nice (didn't swim) and there is a guest laundry but I didn't check it out. That's a nice service to offer though.

We won’t be back. Mattress give backaches. Mattress are covered with zipper covers so they are prone to be infested. Walls had marks in them. A/C did work but ppl smoked on balcony. Bed frame was weak & moved when we got out of bed. Pillows were junk & hard as rocks. Towels had stains & were stiff. Cheap hotel. We are used to 4 stars ⭐️ so not a place for us.

If you ever have the misfortune of having to stay overnight in this "town", there are few choices for hotels. As a result, they are all horribly overpriced. There are no places to have a decent sit-down meal in this "town", only fast food and convenience stores. This hotel is adequate, nothing fancy and the breakfast consists of muffins and orange drink, not juice, but drink. Also, be prepared for several trains passing nearby in the middle of the night.

Amazingly poor maintained. After a week in remote parts of Mexico, staying in this hotel in the U.S. was like going from a four star room to something out of a movie about a terrible third world hotel. The first room reeked of cigarette smoke, strongly. I picked up the phone to inform the front desk to inform them if this, to assure I wouldn’t be charged for smoking in their room, but the circa 1970’s phone didn’t work. After using my phone to call we were moved to another room that smelled much better, but not clean. The second room had a VERY old electric wall heater, but it would not work. Resetting its wall plug safety breaker resulted in instant tripping of the breaker again and again. Of course, the outlet was broken open and wires were visible inside the outlet box. No safety inspections have been performed, it seems.Just about everything in the room and bathroom was seriously outdated and in need of replacing or remodeling.Stay away! Including tax, $62 is about $52 too much for this place.

Not often in a small town do you find a decent place to stay. This gem in the desert fits the bill. Recently renovated so don’t let the outside appearance fool you. Very nice room. Clean, nice beds, cold air and a few food options close by. Perfect for trucker life. Staff in office is top notch. Answered all questions I had. Didn’t get her name but she’s definitely about her job.

This place has clearly been recently remodeled and it's quite nice and very well priced. The staff is incredibly friendly, the rooms are equipped modern amenities and nicely furnished. I did not see a breakfast option or much furniture in the lobby, hence 4 stars, but I would absolutely recommend this location as a place to stay in Gila Bend, AZ.

My stay experience was great. Checked in at 6 pm and out 11 am next day, was not bothered by anyone. Room and bathroom where clean but only had 25 channels of reg broadcast. Bed sheets seemed clean and changed. Obviously it's Ann old knights Inn. Price was reasonable, front desk where helpful and friendly. 4 stars cause its not a luxury Hotel. Oh the room didn't smell like cigar i asked for non Smoker. #213. I'm not being paid to do this in any way my experience is Truly honest..

Nice place. Not the cheapest, but it was a 2 bed room with fridge and microwave for $70+ plus that stupid hospitality tax of another 19, or $12!!!! I only needed a single bed room, but was told they were out. However, they did include breakfast!!!! A lot of hotels, very conveniently, no longer offer it “because of the pandemic”!!!

Our room has been recently completely renovated and it is very nice! Wood look floor (clean! No carpet!), nice finishings. The bed feels new and firm comfy. Nice Tv, fridge and microwave. Desk, small table, all of the things hotels have. Nice hot water and shower. The grounds out back where our room is are run down with a few bags of trash. Front desk staff nice, helpful. Free breakfast. Lots of trailer parking. Nice pool. $80 total; we would definitely stay again and recommed it.

I don't mind cheap. And at first, this place seemed great. Then we found the largest black widow spider behind the toilet. I killed it, and that was that. Then came ear wigs, and beetles. I didn't really care too much until I went to sleep and felt a large insect walking up my stomach. It was a very large earwig. I had only been in the room for one hour and 6 minutes exactly. The man at the office (which also had lots of ear wigs crawling around) refused to refund us.Ps. There were also eaten cherry pits under the bed, and hundreds of dead bugs behind the couch and around the room.

Room was remodeled, dirty sheets (may not have been changed) blood on the floor in-between the beds. Sadly it seemed like homeless or transient people were staying there in rooms around us. Smoking outside with full ashtrays set on top of the ac units.

Newly remodel. Very clean, shower could of been cleaner. Mostly quiet, expect there is a train that goes by. Had to come to Gila Bend because no hotels in metroPHX, nor suburbia. Staff amazing, attended to our needs when we arrived at 10pm. I would stay again.
