For as small a town as Fointain Hills is, its nice to have a pet store for dog food or cat treats or whatever. Thing is, don't expect a ton of selections when it comes to fish or reptiles because ain't nobody buying that stuff here.

I was gifted some dog leashes and tags, but ended up not getting the dogs, so I had no use for them. The employee told me there was nothing they could do. Lucky for me, they have a fantastic store manager and she was a HUGE help, and let me return them for store credit (that way I can still get something else down the road, or use it for gifts). She was extremely nice and helpful! I wish other places had a store manager as good as that! If it wasn't for her, I would be stuck with something I had no use for. Thank you so much!!

The Fountain Hills Petco location has really turned around. IDK...new leadership maybe. Either way, it's clean and the people seem to actually care about helping you with things. It's just different and in a really good way. Plus their new app is a money saver. I like it.

I needed live crickets for my fish. On my way out I pet a bunch of kittens. Staff was friendly.Then I went home and constructed a cricket prison out of a bucket and a cigarette box, cat food and a bottle cap. It's kind of like batman, dark knight rises, where they can climb a little up the side but always fall in the end. One drowned in the bottle cap first night in the yard. I leave prison bucket in my garage and if they can escape the the bucket and evade the cats they can earn their freedom.

I find my local Petco to have excellent associates. They are friendly and most of all knowledgeable about products and location in the store.The store is always well stocked and neat and clean. It is the only real pet market in Fountain Hills, but far superior to other pet superstores.

I've shopped here a number of times and never had any issues with the staff, they've always been good.I'm not too keen on the DARE group they had setup in front of the store when I visited on July 28th 2022. Getting hit up three times in one visit and not respecting the first No Thanks is a bit too aggressive.I wouldn't go so far as to say rude, but probably enough to consider shopping elsewhere if it becomes a regular occurrence.

I have purebred Chow Chow - with an extremely heavy coat. The gals at Petco not only do an amazing job with Lilly, it's obvious by her behavior how much she loves her groomer. Lilly comes home gorgeous! They do a light trim on her bottom and neaten up her paws - beautifully trim her nails, brush her teeth and more. They make sure the deshed her each time so she is much easier to maintain between groomings. She is a ton of work as I've groomed her my self in the past, so I truly appreciate all the work that is put into her each time.

What a friendly staff, including in the grooming area! This Petco has everything for my dog, cat, and fish... And then some! Great selection of food, treats, toys, etc. Easy grooming entrance. Employees are willing to help with any questions. Curbside pickup is always fast to fill the delivery. Often there are good specials or discounts using their loyalty program.

It was my first visit with my brand new rescue dog Radar to buy him a bed and some other things. The staff was super helpful and were sensitive to radar’s quirks (he doesn’t warm up quickly to anyone, especially men.) But everyone was helpful and nice. We’ll be back!

The selection of pets was non existent. The staff was so nice though and there was a nice lady helping us with samples of pet shampoo and giving us information about a really great cat litter for my allergies. Check out was great, she gave us more information about the products we looked at and even gave us some extra advice about feeding our German Shepard to help her dysplasia. Overall a great trip.

Lora was very nice and attentive. I asked about the Bob's sketcher shoes, she checked to see if the store had them in stock, and then, because they were sold out, let me know where I could go to get them. I actually found the pair I have been searching for at the Ahwatukee location. This was my first time to the Fountain Hills location and I enjoyed browsing their inventory. It was easy finding everything, very organized.

There was a really great sale on pet food the same Purina One Urinary Tract formula that I bought at Fry's grocery store for roughly $8 for the small size bag, I was able to get the larger (dble. the weight) bag @ Petco for approximately the same price, so I made it a point to get to the store before the sale ended (which was the day I came in). While there because of the sale I was able to get some additional treats for kitty & experiment with some new product both brand & flavor combos as well. I just couldn't believe the variety, I kept thinking we humans haven't such a panoply of canned & pouch food & in such unique flavor combos w/such cute packaging too! The selection couldn't be beat, I spent more time perusing cat food than I do for my own - kitty will never again be bored with her menu!
