I was disappointed after spend $60 at the deli. Over $30 of that in fried chicken. Yesterday evening it was so tough dry and chewy. We buy it there once to twice monthly. Good sales sometime if you learn the app and write down the price. App struggles to work in store. Lots of overrides holding up the line behind..

The pharmacy is first class, a big thank you to Sal and the staff that are helpful, knowledgeable and welcoming. The store is clean and well maintained and a pleasure to shop in. The store staff are friendly and helpful, a special mention of Ryan W and Jeremiah, always a smile and always helpful, you're both hard working and a credit to the store.

I went to this Safeway because the closest to my house, but the items that I needed were out of stock and it was only 8am. Waiting in a long line at the customer service to get a raincheck just to be told that the representative lady wouldn't give me a raincheck because it was $5 Friday deals. So I called Safeway in Queen Creek, they said will give me a raincheck if the item is out of stock. So we had to drive all the way to Queen Creek, just because the customer service lady in Florence is too lazy to make a raincheck for me. I am not gonna shop here again unless if I have no choice. Items are often out of stock and no raincheck, ridiculous.

Very clean and organized however management should consider placing a notice 20 items of less in the self check out. I say this because today I got a few dirty looks because I had a few more then 20 items. I then asked and they said technically yes but am where is the notice 🤨rant over.

Why do you allow dogs, some not even on a leash . To me I can't eat dog food nor want to be around animals and food I may want to eat. I am only one so far but will not purchase from safeway.

I just had delivery. 2 cases of water not delivered. I put no substitutions. They substituted 2 items that I didn't want and won't use. Very disappointed with delivery. I gave one more chance placed an order which I selected my substitute and declined the substitute they wanted. Well I got their substitute and paid for an item that will be discarded. So therefore from now on I'm shopping with Frys. Never had this issue there.

We usually shop here and never had a problem until yesterday. We wanted to buy two (2) of the chicken breasts on sale and asked the employee at the meat counter to wrap each one separately. He responded that he was too busy and could not do that. Honestly, how much extra time would it have taken him? Maybe 30 seconds?? Additionally, we were the only customers at the counter.

I avoid going to Safeway anymore, because their sale prices and digital coupons frequently don't scan correctly at the checkout. I'd rather go to Walmart where the price marked is the actual price, without having to jump through hoops trying to get digital coupons to actually work correctly at Safeway. Walmart's everyday prices almost always beats Safeway sale prices anyway. Neither of the digital coupon prices pictured below rang up correctly, and I've had the same problem the last 2 times I've gone to Safeway. So I'm done shopping at Safeway.

Safeway has some really decent deals if you do your research and pay attention to the advertisements. Unfortunately, we don't have a lot of options living here on the border of San Tan Valley & Florence. Companies will definitely monopolize on this business opportunity. Safeway has quality items, and it's located strategically for convenience.It's nice they have a Starbucks inside, good Deli, and pleasant folks working there.

I liked going there for the deli for lunch because it’s close by and convenient, but they’re mixing foods together in the same grease or something so they come out tasting wrong. I just got some fried chicken there and it doesn’t taste right, and it’s disgusting, even though it looks great. So it’s going into the trash, and I’ll be getting lunch elsewhere from now on.

Went to Safeway for a few things, lately I have been noticing things are not the price listed on the shelves, so today I got a bottle of laundry soap and there was a $2 off coupon stuck on the side so I said great save me some money because it’s the soap I use normally, well the coupon was expired and they would not honor it. Meanwhile they had a whole shelf of stuff here bottles with coupons attached, so they are falsely advertising and I’m going to also make a complaint with the better business bureau so corporate can be aware of what they’re doing and how much courtesy hey have for their customers

I shop here all the time and I have since the store opened. I like this store. Here’s one thing I don’t understand though. I booked an appointment for a virus shot and, when I showed up on time, I found out I had to wait for the walk ins. How does this appointment system work? I’m very confused!

Store is clean and easy to shop. When they have sales, it's great. Good bakery. Gas rewards are nice, too. Higher prices than some other stores. The Starbucks is great and I rarely have a wrong order there.

I was shopping late at night when someone named Nate walked up and rudely asked why I was here, I had then explained to him that I was buying a monster, he then proceeds to yell at employees. The guy working got off of the register saying that he was doing closing chores and the big guy Nate kept following him around saying very rude things to him. My shopping experience was okay, the only thing that really bothered me was the boss.

Odd way the pharmacy transfers Rx's. First the customer has to call the original Safeway pharmacy to tell them you will not be picking the order there. Then the original pharmacy goes online to release the order to the new pharmacy, where you want to pick up the order. All this takes several hours. Which means if you're trying to get your order faster by going to a closer Safeway - It could take longer, instead of.faster. ( I remember that in the old days one pharmacist would telephone the other and be done in a few minutes.) The overall feeling has seemed to have changed recently. The worker bees are still friendly, but it's like management doesn't care about customers, clogged aisles, many good specials run out of inventory quickly, lots of dented or damaged goods are put in front of the undamaged. Disabled parking on south side entrance and disabled carts are all kept on the north entrance. I had never seen the men's restroom in such bad shape. Is it not a profit center so it takes Last place? Last Friday (Dec 8.2023) I was 8th in line 3 were behind me. And only two regular checkstands were open. (Check out not a profit center)?? Picked up prescriptions, picked about 5 or 6 items, went to check out. NO CHECKOUT OPEN, NOT EVEN THE DISABILITY LANE , EXCEPT SELF CHECKOUT! LEFT EVERYTHING THERE

I use the app for digital deals, and every time I check out, almost half show a different price. I take pictures of every item and then show the cashier. Most correct on the spot, but some send you to the service counter. You would think this big of a chain could build an app that works. They are really getting old, and their prices are soaring.

Inconsidetate staff that were too busy wandering the store to help anyone. The woman in front of me waited 10 minutes at the front end before leaving without so much as an acknowledgment she was there. Ignorant attitudes from the few staff that tried to do the job/task assigned. All I needed was a money ordre, $2,001.38 and twenty minutes later I was assisted. Entitled attitudes that should be out catching butterflies and sharpening colored pencils. I feel bad for society in general. Don't support this store until they train and manage this store with some pride.

I have all the same complaints as everyone else.... expired items on shelves and rotten produce that I got tired of paying for so I take it back for an exchange or money back. My biggest complaint, however, is how employees are always outside smoking by the entrances. Customers should not be forced to walk through the stinky, cancer clouds created by employees at the front doors. It is disgusting! Why cant they go toxify their bodies in an area where customers do not have to be subjected to their nasty habits? Like maybe behind the building!!!😤

Well, I went to the Safeway bakery department,.. wanted to buy sweet treats for a gathering. What I found was a very inhospitable person behind the counter. I saw the apple fritters were varying from really small to large, some twice the size of others. I asked does anyone care anymore about giving a customer a fair deal for the price, I was told "just pick the big ones" when I complained to the service person. Aren't the people who work in the bakery our neighbors? Why treat your customers this way! I realize I am making a big to do here but really to all you at Safeway who are our neighbors... know we can support you as our favorite store to shop or go elsewhere!

This is my local Safeway. I find myself running here multiple times a week. The store if typically cleaned, stocked and staffed. My complaint will be in two areas.1. The digital coupons tend to not scan properly, or not go through. I have found myself stopping to check the receipt multiple times to find I was over charged.2. Self-scanning is so slow! I prefer to self-scan so I can bag the groceries how I like (cold with cold, hot with hot, etc.). However, the scanning takes for ever. This is not a complaint on the specific store, but one I know ALL Safeway's suffer from.
