The groomer who was there was very nice (and also the only reason im giving 2 stars and not 1), however, because it took weeks to get an appointment and my dog already had some matting going on when I scheduled it, she was a complete mess when we were finally able to get in. Because of this, she was refused as a client, and sent off with one sort of recommendation on where else to go. Well I wasn't going to let my dog's matting get even worse by waiting several more weeks before we could try the dog wash place, so I attempted to groom her at home. This led to a pretty bad cut on her leg because I'm not a trained professional - I tried to take her to a pro to avoid this! Such a waste of time, gas, energy, everything... hoping we don't have a vet visit in our near future because of this terrible policy to not groom dogs with matted legs. Will not return. Do not recommend, especially since I was already wary taking her there - the store is filthy! 🤮Update: Because it is impossible to get a grooming appointment in this town, and the petco groomer successfully scared me out of even trying numerous local places, and I felt forced to do the grooming myself, my dog is currently getting $600 stitches on her leg. This is the WORST experience i've ever had with grooming. If your goal for not wanting to groom dogs with some matting on their legs is to prevent them from getting hurt, you all completely failed at that. If you refuse to do your job, then at least don't scare pet owners into doing it themselves. My dog was injured because of all of this. Disgusting "policy" that is truly hurting the pets more than keeping them safe.

Groomer was very nice, but my dog looks the same. I dropped my Great Pyrenees off, looks like he got a bath and not much else. His nails don’t look trimmed, he has Matts in his fur everywhere.. we have been having him groomed in Phoenix petco , and we moved to flagstaff and thought we would have the same great experience but did not- we are pretty disappointed, and paid 140$

Dog looks mostly good, some hair that was missed. He doesn’t smell like he’s been bathed and still has ear wax and eye gunk in his hair. Also the prices are so inconsistent. Considering shave, brushing and scissor cutting an add on is ridiculous. I wanted him bathed and hair cut, that shouldn’t be consider an extra when that’s how you cut a dogs hair.

The groomer was very nice, but the haircut was pretty bad. Plus additional charges for materials and asking for tip puts you at 80+ for a total, when the cut job is by far not worth that cost. Hopefully the grooming team can invest in some training and skill development at this location.

My boy isn't the friendliest when it comes to other people and dogs. But John seemed to have an instant connection with him. He made him feel relaxed. And did a great job on his haircut and nail trim. I felt so good about this relationship that I already booked our next appointment. Thank you John for being so caring and understanding!

I had an awesome experience with Petco Grooming! I have recently begun to go to Petco instead of Petsmart for my grooming needs. The grooming staff at Petco are SO friendly, do a great job with my pup, and the services are even a little less expensive! For this grooming appointment, Jessie was taking care of my dog. I have a chihuahua so I know she can be a little temperamental, but Jessie took fantastic care of her.

Our groomer (Jacob) met us at the door and was very polite. He walked us through the process because this was our pup’s first time at this facility. I felt comfortable with his knowledge on our xl breed pup, Jacob called us to give us an update on Gustavo, which I appreciated very much. Overall he was very caring, knowledgeable, helpful, and did an amazing job with all we asked for. I feel He went above and beyond, I will definitely bring Gustavo back. Thank you Jacob.

Had an amazing experience with Petco grooming in Prescott, AZ. I have professionally groomed my own dogs for years but recently was unable to due to some neck issues. Bernese Mt Dogs are very heavily coated and difficult to groom so I had been left dissatisfied by other groomers in the past. Danielle S blew me away with the amazing and thorough grooming job she did on my big boy. I could easily run my fingers through his coat down to the skin. Bravo Danielle! You are a talented groomer! I will definitely be bringing him back to you!

Meredith (Groomer) and Corey (Store Manager) in Flagstaff always do a fantastic job with handling and grooming my 4 cats — all with very different personalities. They both are so very caring and understanding of each cat’s needs and truly care about ensuring my cats come out looking their best, and they always do! I am always impressed how much both Meredith and Corey care about providing the best results and a great customer experience. I call them the “A” Team when it comes to making my cats comfortable while they make them all look great!

Our Mini Schnauzer received a breed specific haircut even though our area is infested with burrs which had gotten embedded in her fur. We were very pleased with the results and were very happy with her care. She looks beautiful!
