The ads for this store is an example of false advertising. Even if the signs is obvious to have a discount the cashier will not honor it. Instead the cashier indicated they will remove the sign.It isn’t a customer error but the store should honor their ads!

I was in the other day to buy cat supplies and look at animals, but unfortunately this store is in extreme disarray.The sales floor is unsafe with loose cardboard on the ground and empty pallets which pose a slip/tripping hazard. There was a half empty gallon water bottle in the cat toy section, a screwdriver loosely placed in the shelves, pet food on the ground blocking the aisles, the list goes on. In the already very sad betta fish display there were several dead/decomposing fish as if they are never checked on or even fed. Overall I had a bad experience, and this was a sad display for a company that claims to care about animals.This is a huge turn off and I won't be coming back here.

I was pleasantly surprised by the team member at the checkout. He provided personal attention and was pleasant.A negative was that though there were wonderful discounts on several bins upfront, the products were very disorganized. I would have bought up a lot of those items but I couldn’t find anything.

I have used Petco’s grooming service in other states & here. My corgi has always had a bath & de-shedding treatment for $58. Today was my other dogs first grooming. While the groomer was kind, they claimed each dog weighed 1 or 2 pounds over the “dog size” and literally doubled the price. $150 later I got two dog baths. When I addressed this with staff they stuck to their claim & double charging me. I’ll be using other companies in the future. The cost for my corgi has always been the same so for this place to claim otherwise is not ok. I booked everything on the app thinking I would know how much this would cost as that’s always been the case before. They even have a record of how much my corgis last grooming was. But now he’s suddenly a “large 60-80 pound corgi”. Completely overcharged and nobody willing to correct this issue.

I am frustrated that they keep on losing our membership. We've signed up 3 times so far. Plus, they always have WAY TOO MUCH STUFF IN THE AISLE! It's like an obstacle course every time I go in.

If I could rate this 0 stars I could. None of the staff was friendly and was INCREDIBLY reluctant to help me. I asked a worker for help and was told, “you didn’t search our cat isle?” I responded with, “yes, but it’s my first time here.” Then was given an attitude, a sigh, and a dragged walk to what I needed. Checking out was the second part, he wasn’t kind or friendly and I felt VERY unwelcome. I didn’t want to make an account and was pressured to. I further explained that I don’t live here and I don’t want to make an account that I will probably use only this once. He still made an account for me after I said no, asked for my info and punched it in the system. And then was rushed out. Poor customer service and an unwelcoming experience.

It was a fun place to take the dogs & buy their snacks. It was the first time I visited a PetCo, some of the items were decently priced, other items were $2-$3 more than other places I shop. The staff was very helpful & friendly.

The online price for grooming was $74. I paid $127. The given reason was "unmatting". The dog was completely shaved off, so there was zero "unmatting." Expensive shampoo was added without my consent and for no reason. No style or time consuming work: a bath, and shaving off the dog: $127? The worker was rude and said he was very generous and I should have paid even more. My appointment was 10:15 AM. Showed up exactly at 10:15 am. Appointments are meaningless. Whoever shows first is served first so I was made to wait 30 minutes. Received the dog at 4:30 PM. The worker told me that he needed to work on the dog for 6 hours. I got to be moron to believe him. Never again, never. Their vaccination service is excellent. In the past, there was an excellent girl in the grooming service and she gave a hair cut to my other dog. Unfortunately there was an arrogant rude boy this time.

This store does NOT take care of its animals. None of the tanks are big enough for the amount of animals in each. I found a fish that had passed and from the looks of it had passed a while ago. When I told an employee he chuckled and did not seem to care. There were geckos underneath the mats and crammed against the side of their enclosure. One couldnt even open his eyes and was bleeding. The guinea pigs were scratched up. One of the snakes seemed lifeless. Overall it felt like these animals had been neglected and forgotten about.

The employees here are some of the best I’ve ever dealt with. Sidney helped us out today and she was amazing!! She helped us pick out top notch products, gave great advice and even helped us save money in the process. We really appreciated her high level of customer service and attention to detail. Corey has also helped us in the past and was wonderful as well. They always have what I need in stock and I appreciate their knowledge when it comes to the animals. Highly recommend!

Their store and animals were in poor shape. Some of their reptiles didn't have water, there were dead fish in their tanks (not freshly deceased, either). It was sad to see.

Our dog loves this place more than we do. I'd have him write this review, but he is a 9 month Aussie and can't be bothered for reviews or statements. He loves the food and treat selection here, we love the leash and chew toy section haha.

1 year ago I took my 7 GSD in for a grooming. Somehow in this transaction I was enrolled in a pyramid scheme where they charhe me a monthly stipend and I received nothing. I have sent emails and made phone calls to this swindler and have yet to receive restitution and the cessation of fraudulent payments they have stolen. I will never use this company nor its products again.Update - petco did reach out to me and after discussing the situation, refunded the charges.Thank youLloyd

The employees are friendly and helpful. The manager is amazing. He is very knowledgeable about the all product and live animals/fish. My dog has several food allergies. I dropped off my doggo at 8:15am, the gentleman who I had first spoke to was great and super sweet. I didn’t get a call to pick her up until 1:35pm, took a bit long considering we were the first ones there with no one else in sight. When I came to get her the man that was there now didn’t seem happy at all, I smiled and tried to be nice and he was very cut to the point here is your dog. Seemed rushed so I wasn’t even able to ask questions. Very rude compared to the first one. After getting into the car and examining her, there are pieces of fir that are still “matted” together but I got home and was able to brush them out. Don’t see why with how much I payed for them to groom her why they couldn’t do a quick little brush through again, especially considering she is a long haired dog. That doesn’t bother me though as much as how dehydrated she was. It seemed like the whole 5 hours she was in their care she had NO water. She drank and drank water for a good 10 minutes after I was able to get her some. I am extremely upset about that. If my dog is in your care I expect you to give them water, how hard could it be? People trust you with their animals and mine didn’t even get some water. It’s upsetting because it then makes me worry what else they didn’t do. I had an appointment for my other dog but now I’m debating canceling it and going somewhere else if I’m going to get charged a price where when I get home I have to finish things they didn’t, and it’s not worth dehydrating another dog over. Completely ridiculous.

I usually have good customer service, but half of the time the staff is too busy to notice that I need help. And today I was put second because somebody decided they needed help before me(even though i asked for help first). In good customer service, you help the first person asking for service and you let the next person know that they will be helped next. FWI...if you are going to provide good customer service, you help people in order

All in all, it's a great store. The employees are great. The reason I give it a three star is because we have been waiting about a month or longer for your puppy food ,which our dog loves. The location is perfect. For now we need to shop somewhere else. We would rather get his needs taken care of here. But that is not an apption at this time. Hopefully, you'll get taken care soon.

We are traveling through flagstaff and thought we might be able to get our shitzu groomed, they got us in quickly out 3-4 hrs later. Substandard job and more expensive than we are accustomed too at $80. Asked specifically not to cut tail hair, which had a small bit of gray on end, they cut it off!!

Several months ago while in Petco shopping for fish food for my daughter's beta I was solicited by the cashier to sign up for a program that would give me discounts on fish and fish food. I was skeptical as my daughter only has a few small fish and I don't spend that much money on fish food... the cashier reassured me I can cancel anytime I want All I have to do is contact customer service. so I agreed to sign up for the program. After 6 months of paying $10.91 every month for this program and not really using it very much I decided today to cancel. I contacted customer service and told them I would like to cancel my program. The response to me was they have turned off my auto renew so I can rest easy knowing it will not be renewed however the $10.91 I am responsible for through February of 2024! Do not sign up for the vital Care program unless you intend paying for the full year. You cannot cancel it.
