Awesome experience on a beautiful day in Arizona. We booked the tour online and accessed the ranch through the gift shop. The first animals we met were adorable Rue (dog) and piglet Maxwell. We set out to see the rest of the pack, armed with a bucket of carrots and parakeet seed sticks. Honestly, the two hours were not enough. Also, Christmas the camel stole my husband's heart so only visit if your relationship is solid!

Best time ever!! Michael knew his way around expertly and threw in some interesting facts during our tour. He even went along with our joking. Christmas the Camel was very friendly. I would definitely recommend buying the carrots and the parakeet feeding sticks. It's a nominal charge and enhances the experience. People of all ages would really enjoy this tour. Although we didn't include any of the animal encounters, we definitely will next visit.

I’m a native Arizonan and I’ve never been to Eagar. Today we traveled less than an hour from Pinetop to Eagar to visit the R Lazy J Wildlife Ranch. We had changed the time of our tour and even though they had no other guests registered at that time they still accommodated our guided tour of the ranch. The animal species were predominately cooler climate animals from all over the world and our guide provided information about each and a time to visit and feed each animal. It was a smalltown hospitality feel and we were appreciative of the time and patience they took with our special needs son. If you’re in northeastern AZ and especially if you have littles don’t miss this hidden gem!

On recommendations from a few friends and doing some research I decided to go and check this place out. I was not disappointed. I booked a tour online with their set timed guided tours. Easier this way. Or call. The tour was nice with a very knowledgeable tour guide. We went on an outdoor truck with a few other people. This is a great tour for children and adults. All kinds of animals from all over the world. Including Oryx, Cloud Leopards, Sloths and more. They have treats you can purchase to hand out to some of them including the camels, llamas and pigs. A small petting zoo and you can purchase bird sticks to feed the parakeets out of your hands. A must see for families and you are helping the conservation of these animals to repopulate zoos and help endangered animals also. They also have a small gift shop. For extra money you can purchase an encounter to get closer to the sloths or the Ring Tailed Lemurs.

My sister always wanted to see a sloth up close and personal. For her 65th birthday, I surprised her with a trip to R Lazy J Ranch hoping to fulfill her dream. Little did I realize we would encounter such a beautiful, magical place with the best people who made our experience better than going to Disneyland!! We began our tour by meeting Christmas the camel. I cried when she reached across me and "kissed" my face as she reached the carrot I was holding!! The emotions continued as my sister and I greeted all of the animals, who are lovingly cared for, by the super staff. Each encounter was amazing!! We even got to feed Budgie Parakeets out of our hands. Our final treat was meeting Money-Penny and Flash! Our favorite sloths!! My sister was in Sloth Heaven and so was I. What remarkable creatures!!Again, I want to thank R Lazy J Ranch, especially Ashley and Andrea our outstanding tor guides, for giving my sister and I an unforgettable experience. It was worth every Money-"Penny" and so much more. We cannot wait to visit again, hopefully with grandkids or friends and enjoy our next adventure!! So many animals, so much fun!!!

This is a top place to bring kids and parents alike! I would strongly recommend paying for the guided tour. Shorty was our guide and she new just about everything there was to know about the animals. You get to feed them hand cut carrots and they sure do love it! They have a wide variety of exotic animals and birds that I have never seen before. Pluss they have a lot of babies right now! All the staff are friendly and very helpful. It's worth the day trip from the valley to come to this fun place!

This place is amazing! The tour guides were awesome, patient and kind! Feeding the animals was the highlight to my little girls' day! The camel named Christmas was a hoot! Our favorite part was feeding the lemurs! 1 on 1 time with the 2 lemurs was beyond amazing! Mama had 2 babies attached to her and was so nice the whole time and let my daughter pet them multiple times without getting defensive! This place was amazing and well worth the $$ I spent. Oh, please put sun block on, my boyfriend, daughter and I got sunburned.

My husband surprised me and our 5 year old with a tour here. It was our favorite part of our vacation! The guided tour was so awesome! We learned a lot about the different animals, and we all had a blast feeding a bunch of them! We got to see so many awesome creatures. We definitely want to make it back there!!

This was our second time visiting and the improvements are enjoyable. This Wildlife Ranch (zoo) is super fun for my 5 year old. We are able to get up close and personal with all the animals and the staff are extremely engaging. So far we have been able to see animals before and after they gave birth. Seeing new little goats and kangaroos is such a delight. Would highly recommend visiting!

We took my 4 year old daughter to R Lazy J while vacationing in Greer. She loved it and the adults had fun as well. The facility is well maintained and clean which is especially impressive considering how many animals they have. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, knew the animals and cared for them and their well being. I have been to other places where the animals are sadly just a source of revenue, that was not the case at the R Lazy J. They where also very patient in answering my daughter's many questions. The tour in the open air bus was educational and entertaining. We paid for the lemur encounter and our daughter loved it.We visited in July of 2020 and the entire facility supported masking and social distancing which was important to our family. I would recommend anyone go check the out.

My family member and I went to R Lazy J Wildlife Ranch. It was so wonderful and I definitely would recommend bringing children and/or adults who are kids at heart. Anybody who loves animals no matter the age. Rather than a zoo with little direct interaction, at R Lazy J, you go on about a 2 hour tour, feed carrots to camels, water buffalo who are very sweet, and many other animals. The additional experience of feeding a sloth or lemurs is really pretty amazing. My tour guides were Lydia and Ronnie and were knowledgeable. We had a lovely time! Highly recommend R Lazy J Wildlife Ranch 🐐🐦🐑

My daughter and I visited this past Saturday 9/5/2020 and I was very impressed. Much more than I expected from viewing the website. I wish I could remember our tour guides name because she deserves much accolades! Very, very kind and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend visiting. We will definitely return. Thank you very much.
