I honestly cannot say enough good things about Doug! If you're going to rockhounding near Duncan or lordsburg, this is a must stop place. He isn't just knowledgeable, he is truly kind and honest and helpful! He also has phenomenal rocks on display and reasonable priced. There isn't a place from Tombstone to Safford that was even close to being as welcoming and helpful as Doug. There is no doubt his info helped me score a load. Doug, thank you again from Buffalo.

Stopped in today and visited with Doug. What a Great Visit. Spent an hour looking at all the Awesome Rocks he has in the store.He is very knowledgeable and passionate about collecting the various rocks in the surrounding area.You must stop in to this very well stocked, bright clean store.Will definitely visit next trip through the area.Happy Canadian Rock Hounds.

This is a delightful place. Well lit and spacious. Great variety of rocks, minerals, and books. Also has local crafts, many rock related. Owner very knowledgeable re: rock hounding sites locally as well as rocks and minerals generally and wonderful to talk with!

The owner is very knowledgeable about rocks and minerals. He is local. This is a great place to stop and learn about the history of the town and what you might find rockhounding the area. If you're planning to visit Round Mountain Rockounding Area, this is a great place to stop at first.

Really enjoy stopping in and chatting with Doug. He's been extremely informative and helpful in our pursuit of fire agate. He drew us a map and put us on some good spots. Lots of quality stones and rough at the shop. If you're ever in Duncan or passing through I highly recommend stopping by

My buddy, Ben, and I hail from Tucson, and my girlfriend told us about fire agate. We researched it and discovered a hounding area outside of Duncan, AZ. He went by himself and discovered Rock-A-Buy, and we've been hooked ever since. We've been agate searching for 3 weekends, and we just coerced Doug to guide us. Wow! A super nice guy, a wealth of information, and a mound of experience . . . all make Doug the best.His shop isn't too bad, either. His prices are better or equal to the internet.

Owner was very nice! He provided us with a map of where to find fire agate in Round Mountain BLM. All you have to do is sign his guest book! Shop also had a nice collection of Flourite, peridot/olivine, quartz, etc.

The best rock shop in the USA! Probably not even a rock shop but a rock gallery! (with out the high prices) Rocks are my profession. The owner and employees are the nicest people I've ever met! I did not get paid or even asked to write this review, and I'm rarely this nice lol. Rock tours and private mining locations are even available.

Small shop catering to rock hounds. Great place with reasonably priced local AZ cabachons and other specimens. Owner is very personable and fun to talk to. Shop also has hand made items for baby gifts.

I drove to Duncan Arizona in April of 2019 from Aberdeen Washington the 26 hours to get there was worth it . Doug took us to round Mountain and some other places, got some nice specimens his shop is one of the nicest that I seen ,I got some souvenirs to take home. Doug and his daughter are very friendly , wish I lived closer I would swing in and say hi.
