Walgreens in Cottonwood AZ has one of the best professional pharmacy staffs we have ever encountered as full time RV'ers traveling around the United States for 4 years. Two staff members took the extra time & effort to get me the eye drops I needed, including contact electronically & then by phone to two previous Walgreen pharmacies. One even called me to inform me of status update as it was taking longer than she had stated. Truly could not have received better service.

Would not have shared a review on this Walgreens but they got so many bad reviews I felt that I had to. This was my first time at this Walgreens. I went in to pick up a prescription that I had filled there. Was greeted very warmly by the pharmacy associate. My refill was ready and the whole experience was great! As I walked out the door the associate behind counter said "have a good day sir!" This Walgreens started my day out great! Thank you!

This place is poorly managed if at all. Tried getting my son’s medicine for 4 hours to end up not getting it.Staff claimed they could take a phone in order from doctors office and find out the employees aren’t allowed to do this.Chuck is the so called manager at this location an has no control of his staff or his own actionsPlan on spending at least an hour on hold waiting to talk to a pharmacistDebra was the pharmacist I talked to she will tell you what you want to hear just to get you off the phoneChoose wisely go somewhere else if possibleHad to rate this one star if it was an option I wouldn’t have given any pathetic where is the ownership

Went in today to get a prescription for my sick daughter stood there for 30 minutes waiting on the 2 gentleman behind the counter to stop talking about inappropriate things in a workplace, I finally tired of standing in the line patiently walked up to the count and asked if I was going to be helped. The man who “helped” me was extremely rude and his customer service skills lacked severely. I will no longer be getting prescriptions filled at this location as every time we’ve tried we have had a bad experience. Would 10/10 recommend not going to this place if businesses.

Pharmacy is the worst. Lazy and incompetent. They couldn’t figure out my insurance for a flu shot. I called my insurance and she told me to tell them to direct bill. So they just shrugged their shoulders because they’re either morons and couldn’t figure it out, or just lazy. I’ve never had problems at other pharmacies with the same insurance.

This Walgreens might have added more and longer hours but they still can't get their act together ! A couple of their employees need retraing in manners .If they were customers and encountered rudeness they wouldn'likeit.went to get our flu vaccine on September 26th.what a hassle..We both had appointments. They claimed there was a problem with the insurance What a crock! They need to smarten up we sat there for one hour Some other person didn't have an appointment and she was taken ahead of us .Someone needs to investigate this pharmacy and the way they do everything

I have dealt with Walgreens for years both in Michigan and here. This is without a doubt the worst prescription service I have experienced. This past Monday I received a renewal message for a script, I replied to have it refilled.Tuesday the same message. This time they said it would be filled by Friday. Friday morning I received another message saying it would be ready for pickup on Sunday. That’s 6 days of being without my med. Thank heavens it wasn’t a life or death script. No matter what it should not take 6 days to get prescription filled. This is not the first time I’ve had problems with this Walgreens. Looking at getting mail order prescriptions through my insurance company. This is the first negative review I have given ANY company. This Walgreens needs to get its act together. I could not in any way recommend their prescription service.

This Walgreens has to get the worst Walgreens award for 2022.-2023.. They lie on their website, and they will lie right to your face with a smile. This store seems to have extra rules for why they can not help you more than any other I have been to in my 59 years on this planet. Avoid at all costs. It's not worth it. I'm amazed that somebody hasn't jumped in to save them. It may be too late. Oh yea, what you sell, you should stock or at least have some answers as to when you might have it. ⁴(NEVER..) INSTEAD OF, ITS ON ITS WAY.

UPDATE: Be warned, if you try to transfer RXs to another pharmacy they might conveniently lose your records like they did mine. I got some of my prescriptions transferred but now my Dr has to re-write the other scripts! Weeks to get things in with these delays. This has been my worst experience with any pharmacy ever.The pharmacy never manages to fill my monthly prescriptions on time. I find myself always missing 2-5 of my pills during the first of the month because they cannot keep on a schedule. I am always calling and checking on the status of autofill orders. My insurance will only fill one month at a time so it is so frustrating. I am looking at another pharmacy.

This location is the only one in Cottonwood. You would think, being one of the employers in a small town, they would treat their employees well. However, for months on end, they have been consistently short staffed. The drive thru should never take more than 5 minutes per car, even given people who have large prescription orders and payment issues. However, this place you can routinely expect to wait 30-45 minutes with only two or three people in front of you. They've had their hiring sign up for almost a full two years, but they never have enough staff.Maybe if they treated pharmacy technicians decently AND paid them more than McDonald's employees, they would be able to get and keep workers for more than a month or two!Seriously, their average pay for a pharmacy tech is $13/hr. And they handle people's medications and deal with insurances! They should be getting paid MINIMUM $25/hr.Maybe if they did that, then people could get their stuff easily and without stress!

I have been a customer at Walgreens for nearly a year after having moved into the area. This place has the worst customer service of any pharmacy I have ever been associated with. Most recently I contacted my doctor to change my pain medication after a new replacement. Need replacement. 24 hours after the script was called in it was still under pharmacist review. When I waited on hold for 37 minutes to talk to somebody in the pharmacy they inform me they couldn't fill my prescription until at least Sunday. The doctor reissued medication because the original painkiller gave me nausea. A whistle Original medication caused me nausea. When queried about the problem, the representative told me the doctor should have told them it was a replacement prescription. Now the DOCS office is closed for the weekend and I am out of luck. They have lost my business...and I would STRONGLY recommend no one else use their pharmacy. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

Apparently Walgreens higher ups don't know how to treat their employees so most of the pharmacy staff went to work at CVS. At CVS they are actually friendly and can actually fill your prescription. Waited 5 days for Walgreens then gave up and called CVS, they special ordered my prescription cuz they didn't have it in stock and had it in two days. I will not be using Walgreens pharmacy anymore.

If there was a 0 stars that is whatI’d give this Walgreens. Don’t use their pharmacy. I have been a loyal Walgreens customer for 50 years but Cottonwood Walgreens is the very worst. If you want to use them I hope you set aside a day just to pick up your prescriptions. I made an appointment 3 weeks ago for a covid booster for 12:30 today. I get there and I’m not on the list. Now there is no future dates I can even sign up for.

If this could be less than one star it would be. I am seriously sick and tired of this pharmacy. They don’t give out correct information they don’t give you all the information you’re supposed to have. Now I have to wait until middle of next week to get the information I need. This is the most pathetic place and unfortunately the only place I can go. I’m so over terrible customer service. Walgreens you were my favorite place to go but now you’ve just lost a customer for life. CVS here I come maybe.

The slowest and worst Walgreens of all time. Be prepared to wait 10-36 hours for them to fill a simple script they have in stock. You want to call? I gave up after 2 hours on hold. The only way to get a script same day is to take time off work, go to the pharmacy for a few hours and nag them until they will eventually fill it. They will most likely kill someone someday by making them wait for the meds. ZERO stars.

Horrible pharmacy! We have been working with them for months and every time we go to refill prescriptions there is some kind of issue. After experiencing the same thing today we also had the "pleasure" of speaking with the pharmacist who was quick to tell us that "everything is done electronically" when we asked why no one called to tell us that our order was delayed...again...but also he was rude and uncaring. Just confirmed what we have been feeling for months, that customers are nothing but a number. Definitely time to switch!!

My wife has been waiting 3 days for her RX, went in today and was told they may be able to have them ready in 48 to 72 hrs. SERIOUSLY!!!!!! Walgreens has gone to ship. We are changing to CVS.

DON'T GO THERE FOR PASSPORT PICTURES! I feel like the public should be warned not to waste their time getting Passport pictures here. Don't get me wrong everyone was nice but 2 out of 3 of my family's pictures were rejected. We went back to have them retaken and they still were not good enough. We went to CVS instead and their system let's you know immediately if the picture is good enough. So if you're in a hurry to get your passport and don't want to waste money. Go to CVS.

Every month for 13 months I have had to call my insurance adjuster to get my own medications authorized for the pharmacist. When I spoke to Bruce the district manager, he agreed it was their job and it was what they got paid to do and I should not have to do it. At that time I mentions how my scripts could sit for 5 days with no reviews, that my medication was not ordered each month as company policy directs. My advice, go to CVS, they are friendlier and cheaper, thats what I did, rather than be given inferior service from non caring attendants.

Currently in the drive through at this establishment. Called pharmacy 25 minutes ago. Advised had been in static line at least 12 minutes at that time. Was told only one pharmacist on duty and he she was doing a consult. Shouldn’t that driver be asked to park while their issues was resolved. I phone back Walgreen’s and asked to speak with the store manager. John denied that he was aware of the log jam at his pharmacy drive up. Dang it all! Podunck Hicksville sad excuse for a well run establishment! Update: at the drive up window- have been here 41 minutes and no one at the window!

The absolutely positively worst. I was released from the hospital yesterday the date was January 10 -2022At 6:30 at night I tried calling them. The doctor that had taken care of me sent Walgreens in cottonwood a prescription. It is very important that I continue taking this medication . Walgreens “only after I was on hold for over 10 minutes told me they were out. They didn’t know when they were going to get more. I ask them if they would transfer the prescription to Walmart. I was informed that I would have to have Walmart contact Walgreens for the prescription. I then called Walmart spoke to the “actual pharmacist “ he said he would get right on it. Today at 12:30 the Walmart pharmacist called me to tell me he was on hold to speak to the pharmacy for over 10 minutes then he was disconnected. Today he again attempted to get the prescription transferred the same thing happened TWICE the Walmart pharmacist finally called me and told me what happened.This was very important that I take this medication beginning last night. I have Covid that turned into pneumonia. It is literally a life and death situation.WHAT THE Devil do I have to do to get that prescription from Walgreens. Apparently they don’t care whether somebody lives or dies. I do not recommend this pharmacy

Go somewhere else. The pharmacy is always, always behind. I should know better as I have very good insurance and all 16 of my prescriptions are higher there. Last time I went to pick up a friend's refill they asked me to go run errands and come back in 15 mins. I returned twice with the same response. I told my friend to do both of us a favor and have his doctor send refills to another pharmacy.

I get a text that my prescription is ready for pickup so I go in, stand in a very long irritated line & finally get to the counter to be told IT'S NOT READY! WTH! Give it up, Cottonwood Pharmacy! Customers are fed up! You've disappointed & irritated for the last time!

I have been shopping here for years. Yesterday I was purchasing a bottle of wine and was asked for my ID which is new corporate policy. I understand confirming age but I am not OK that it is also policy that my drivers license is scanned into your system, this is my private information and I did not want that to occur..the cashier was very nice and said she has to as it is new corporate policy. I will no longer be shopping at Walgreens because of this invasion of privacy!!! With all the issues of identity theft and big brother watching us at all times, this is WRONG! Shame on you Walgreens!!

Now they're pharmacy is closed during lunch hours, so if you can only pick up your prescription on your lunch break you're out of luck. If they are there prepare to wait 30min. I don't know if they're under staffed or what, but even if there is only 1 person in front of me (window or inside) it takes forever. Then they take forever to find your prescription and then explain it to you, even if it's the same thing you've been getting for 10yrs. I will be switching pharmacys.

Walgreens Pharmacy, what a joke! In the time of 2 days you managed to misplace a script! It took my doctor not once but 3 times to send the script over to the pharmacy. I even called and spoke with the pharmacy technicion who stated they "received my perscription and it would be ready to pick up later that day." When I showed up to the pharmacy to pick up my perscription they stated they didn't receive it! Where did it go? Do you shred perscription scripts when you receive them??It's unbelievable how incompetent walgreens pharmacy is! I am extremely disappointed with how they handled my case and I will not be returning.

I'm very pleased with Walgreens in Cottonwood. Service is always outstanding. My compliments to the lady up front named Betty who always has a great smile and greeting to customers. Betty is a valuable asset to Walgreens. Thank you for always giving outstanding service Betty, you make shopping at Walgreens a pleasure!

+JMJ...Great store for many shopping needs. In the past, visited mostly to pick up meds at the pharmacy. Everyone there has always been friendly and professional. Even when it was very busy, I was made to feel like a valued customer by their acknowledgement and encouragement to be seated or to just shop around (gladly!) But more recently it has been for late night, general shopping. I like their little grocery section and usually look for sale items. My interaction with sales staff has mostly been at the cash register. They have ALWAYS been super, duper nice!! Very friendly! Also, the store is always neatly arranged, very well lighted, and clean.

Needed some medicine for a friend who unfortunately is out of town. It was impossible to get, and way too expensive to pay with @ cash and try to ship across the country.They tried to make the necessary arrangements but to no avail. Still I bought some other items I wanted, proveing there were no hard feelings. I'll shop there again, because other than RX medicines, the sale items are priced great. After my my next visit they are sure to get another star.
