Sweet Little organic grocery Herb store. I can't afford to do all my shopping there, but the bulk herb section is vast and wonderful, and they have a great selection in natural remedies! Always a good experience!

Lovely little market. We went to see if they had good cheese (they didn’t), and fresh beets (didn’t have that either) but they did have fresh turmeric, which is really hard to find. Great customer service and lots of other niche kinds of things.

Excellent natural food store that we are so lucky to have in Cottonwood! Great selections of bulk dried fruit and nuts for very reasonable prices, cheaper and better quality than the grocery stores. Good selection of bulk wholesome flours, dry beans, cereals. Best bulk spices in town, always fresh. Also a great selection of natural and alternative medicines. Plus a small but fresh selection of organic produce. Grab a kombucha squash or some unsulphured dried Turkish apricots now!

Really went downhill since covid. The produce is old and I constantly get weird looks when I go in without my mask. Rude attendants at the counter, and never been approached to see if I need help. I shop orga in at Safeway now, unfortunately or head into sedona for interdependence foods. It's smaller but higher quality all around. Cheaper as well since they seem to constantly mark things down.

Fantastic selection, helpful, knowledgeable, friendly staff. Manuka honey and bulk tinctures. FLAWLESS organic greens. Exceedingly clean. Items I've not seen in other like-stores. Free little library outside. Bring your own bag, no restrooms.

Love Mount Hope here in Cottonwood, plus I discovered today they stock my favorite hot sauce from Austin TX. If you're a fan of Sriacha, definitely give YellowBird a try!

Not sure what happened, Mt Hope used to be a good spot like 5 or 6 years ago - now it's just weird customer service and high prices. I like to support independent when I can, but in this case Natural Grocers gets all my money and Mt Hope gets none any longer 👋🏼

Let me start this review with I had loved Mount Hope thought they were one of the best Health Food stores, but not anymore. I was in there yesterday and purchased one of their plant based protein powder meals. It's called Nature Plus Spiru-tein. I admit I did not read the ingredients before purchasing this product because of my high regard for this store. I had a drink this morning made with it and wondered why it was so sweet so I read the ingredients. the 4th ingredient was FRUCTOSE!!!!!!! Why they put poison in a healthy drink is beyond me. I call it poison because this is what FRUCTOSE CAN DO TO YOU:Ingestion of fructose chronically has contributed to multiple health consequences, such as insulin resistance, obesity, liver disorders, and diabetes. Fructose metabolism starts with fructose phosphorylation by fructose kinase in the liver, and this process is not feedback regulated.How can you call yourself a Health store and have FRUCTOSE in any of your products. This was not a cheap product!

+JMJ Friday 2 September 2022 Very clean, well organized store. And, even before entering the store the fragrance of essential oils presents a Heavenly aromatic "greeting". Absolutely delightful! Great selection of organic fresh produce. And, many, many products to encourage and enhance healthy eating and nutritional supplements. The background music is much better (to me) than some other stores. Very nice visit.

Really disappointing. Most meat was well beyond its “best buy” date. Ground beef 14 days past, chicken was >20 days past. Limited produce. If you want a bunch of healthy-ish processed foods, this may be the place for you.

Best place to get organic, 'healthy food' in all of cottonwood/Sedona IMO. Not nearly the selection of other places like whole foods, but this quaint little place actually has a lot of different, and relatively unique food items.The most friendly and helpful staff for sure.I keep my reviews sparse these days, but I love the selection, people, and vibe of this place, so I felt compelled.🙏

The cashiers & other staff here are always so friendly and make me feel very welcome here. The guy w/ long hair stocking the produce has always been super cool too, he's really funny and casual-professional at the same time. There is a lady that works there, she's not a cashier, who can come off as rather grumpy for some reason, lol. Honesty I'd rather have grumpy & genuine than the fake enthusiasm other retailers can sometimes throw at you. Overall, the people here are great. This store also has an awesome selection on dried herbs and supplements, I'm super happy that this store exists in Cottonwood.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Nice variety. I'm vegan and do a lot of shopping there. Very nice supplement, protein powder, etc. section. Many homeopathic remedies and a good variety of hemp products. The fresh food is a bit limited but they always have what I need somehow. Thanks Mt. Hope!

it's a three for me.I'm going to be honest they have quite a few items and they are not really up to par about approaching customers and asking if they need help., but it is obvious that they have made it so they are the only health food store in town really. And their prices are outrageous to me. I can drive 15 miles to Sedona and save quite a bit of money and find what I'm looking for at the other two health food stores up there whole foods and natural foods..

A fantastic natural and organic foods store. They carry in season organic produce often sourced locally. They also have a very nice selection of vitamins and bulk herbs. They can bulk order just about anything you'd like or special order vitamins. Quite an invaluable community resource.Update March 2022 - still my favorite little natural grocers. A great selection vitamins too.

I’m about to be moving Up in the area. My grandfather Bill MEWHINNEY shopped here with his caretaker/home Nurse. It was his Favorite Store in All of Cottonwood. I went there a couple times per his suggestion while visiting. I cannot wait to Live up there and shop here. My grandfather has passed , but I will always remember how much he enjoyed going to Mount Hope Foods. I’ll be coming from often.

Thanks so much for addressing the sour smell that used to be at the back of the store! I’ve shopped here many times over the past couple of years and everything is top notch. I especially appreciate the clean atmosphere and COVID precautions that are enforced. If you don’t want to wear a mask, you can always shop at Dollar General.

Mount Hope Foods has wonderful choices of great foods. When I am in Cottonwood, I try to stop by and look around. I am never disappointed. They have foods that the health food stores in Prescott don't have. It's a pleasure to shop at Mount Hope.

Great, selective, organic local grocery. The friendliest people you will ever meet. Not just the fabulous helpful employees, but all the locals who shop here. We're all friendly. You don't need huge aisles because there's no junk food here. Plenty of treats but they are all healthy. If you want something the don't have orders come in pretty fast. And they are really knowledgeable about vitamins & supplements.

I’ve read a few negative reviews about mask the policy (which is now implemented statewide for obvious reasons) and felt the need to post a review. This store is great as is evident by the numerous other 5 star reviews. Their selection is great and the staff is very helpful. The people complaining about masks are not reviewing the store but their own personal disbeliefs in scientific recommendations on how to stop pandemics.

I can’t shop here anymore. The owners of this local grocery store need to stop being apart of the oppression and robbing their employees identify by forcing the staff to still where masks. We need true freedom to rise in the country & mount hope is not setting that example. On top of it the mark up on products here is insane I mean there is literally $2-5 mark ups higher than natural grocers on every single item. Doing your weekly shopping here is an easy extra $100!
