The dude that was working this evening around 6:45 pm today was very friendly, and was making the shopping experience a good one. He was the cashier but also the stocker and was still in a good mood towards me and his job. Thumbs up for that guy.

The customer service here has always been great in the way that every person has been very nice. It just seems they are always hiring, there is always a new person here and each time the person is still getting the hang of the job. They really all have been nice though.The store is limited in space, inventory and quality products but if you need something in a hurry (and frankly there is not much elsewhere to go in this town) then this store is good.

A girl closed the register down and would not check me out at exactly 8:59 on the dot. She said it was 9 and they were closed. My phone clearly read 8:59 when I walked out of the store. She also was very rude and unprofessional. I heard her yelling at the top of her lungs and throwing expletives that should NOT be used when working customer service fields. I have never in my life met a person with worse customer service skills. I have worked retail for years and never would I ever treat a customer the way she did.

I really like this store they have amazing people like Terry,Rachel,Serena on shift and were very helpful. They also taught me about the DG App and how to use it. The store was clean and it was being put away from truck day. That means they are efficient and tidy during clean up. I would definitely recommend this store for this people and amount of products it has available during Covid to any local, traveler, or just a passerby for things the may need! 😀

Went in to get balloons blown up. Have to pay $2 per balloon plus buy my own string & balloons and tie the balloons myself. That is company policy and it made me go somewhere else for that service.Other than that the store is tidy and has a decent variety of items.

This is one of only two general grocery stores in the area so it is what it is. They have a wide range of shelf stable and home items, some refrigerated items, and even clothing and underwear and shoes. They have great prices and great sales, very friendly staff and constantly rotated items so it's an adventure looking through everything. A great stop for staples and road trip necessities.

This place has a decent variety of items and great prices. However being told you have 3 minutes to shop when clearly you've got 10 is really quite bothersome. At least they've stopped yelling at you when you walk through the door.

An employee named Jackie created an incredibly horrible experience at Dollar General. My husband and I walked in to grab a couple things 10 minutes before closing. From the minute we walked in this employee acted as though we were the bane of her existence. She rudely told both of us we needed to hurry up because the store was closed. After we quickly made our purchase my husband suggested that she act more kindly to her customers and she came unglued and screamed "get out of my store!" There is no reason a customer should ever be treated so badly.

Its one of the only places to shop in our town so you have to go there. The employees are nice after they get to know you, with the exception of a couple good ones. The manager Terri has the worst customer services skills I've ever seen. Its almost unbearable to be there while hes there. Its like they have never been taught customer service cause of our small town.

Ever since they changed management a few months ago, it's like a whole different store! The people are helpful and friendly, there's always an associate ready to check out your items and the store itself is cleaner and more functional. I really enjoy shopping here now.

The items are not clearly marked well on the clearance aisle and the employees didnt offer to help me. Also staff working were chatting with spouse while attending to me and was snippy when i needed help with credit card machine. If it was the first time i wouldnt say anything but this happens often here. Wish it was better for a great review but unfortunely not. Prices are good, store clean, cooler down(not working so cold stuff limited) but staff was the issue and needs to worry about customers first not personal life because we customers pay thier paycheck. Least they could do was wait till line was out door before becoming engaged in personal conversations. Makes us feel unwanted and that we arent worth thier time.

Great everyday deals along with excellent clearance selection. Only problem was when i found 7 or 8 items marked .01 on the sticker and the cashier said that they aren't allowed to sell penny items, i replied with-then why is there .01 stickers on all of them? She had no rebuttal, just took and threw them away. I said-and thats what this worlds problem is..

Our community had been going through some emotionally trying times last year, and had banded together in a most effective and admirable way, and yet emotions were very raw. I walked into the store early one more, the only customer and was treated to hearing the good folks at this store, grossly speculate on the events of the time. Their ignorance and bias was very obvious. Discrimination at its best. I very nearly didn't complete my purchase, the gentleman all the while completely oblivious to the slander and offenses he had caused. I only shop there as a last resort, which is unfortunate, because they have the opportunity to be a real asset to this community. Rudeness aside, they are inefficient and unprofessional checkers. There is room for some real education in this regard in this store.

The items at Dollar General are, at times, better than anywhere else I know of. The only times this is the case, however, is when such items' selling points are simplicity and replaceability. The variety of things available here is nice. Customer service here is rarely great. There are very very few name brand items at Dollar General. The most common brand of stuff in Dollar General is........Dollar General brand. Dollar General is a good place to get things like socks, candy, wallets and purses, ice cream bars, cat food, automotive fluids, and microwaveable pizzas. It is not a good place to buy headphones, garden tools, movies, pastries, or water software salt. Check out times can be very long and bothersome sometimes. Don't stop here if you need the restroom. Don't come here just before closing time. You will have a considerable chance of being treated poorly.

Basically was kicked out for taking till 9:03 and asking a question. Worker said corporate would sometimes turn off the lights automatically. My money goes elsewhere. The sad thing is I own one of the few hotels in the area. My customers will steer clear of dollar General!

Located directly off of main highway. Easy access. Store is generally well stocked and managed. Staff is very friendly. With a little better organization I would rate a 5 star.

I'm very disappointed with the managers lack of customer service. I shop there a lot . But it might stop , I was ready to leave my stuff and walk out ! I normally love dollar general it's like my go to store.

Bill the assistant manager is so helpful if I don't know where something is he will walk to the item and show it too me the other employees are also are very knowledgeable and good at customer service DG is my favorite store in townBill and Grace to a excellent job

I agree with others on the lame management. Came in for a few snacks and a drink and needed to use the restroom.Stood there for a solid minute while two workers babbled about the female workers love life, before being giving the slightest annoyed attention.You have to get the key to the restroom like it's North Las Vegas or something! He then tells me to make sure I don't make a mess as it had just been cleaned! Hahaha, I was so baffled by this slob, that I just had to giggle to myself at what he thought a clean bathroom was... the trash had been taken out.

I've noticed with most stores that they could probably be a little more relaxed about their cashiers standing at the till so they can be a bit more available at the front of the store.

Their online hours state that they are open until 10pm. I show up at 8:58pm to be greeted by an angry employee shooing customers away for trying to shop after hours. He was rude and unapologetic. Lines are long and employees seem extremely burdened with any interaction with customers. Try Basic American Supply or Bee's.

My wife went in and they screamed at her across the store due to her not wearing a mask. This is the most unprofessional I have ever seen. Whoever the GM is they need to talk to there staff or re hire. The worst dollar General store we have ever been and all of our friends are having similar stories except them yelling at there kids

Nice to have something close by for emergencies. Prices compete with other "dollar store's" within a 50 mile radius.UPDATE No public bathroom. Told me to go to bee's next door. So I guess just go to Bees

Terrible management and customer service representation. I was having a good time with my friends, speaking quietly in line at the cash register. The cashier/manager through a fit over the thoughts that he heard a friend of mine say, "b***h". The man threatened to throw us out of the store, and we said, "okay". My friend told me a joke, so I laughed and stated, "Oh my God." The cashier (who obviously has a lack of EQ and needs to learn to control his anger) thought I was talking to him, so he caused an issue which didn't need to be made between my friends and the lady ordering her items at the counter, discriminating the religions around our town and assuming we were a part of them. This man should be fired immediately. No wonder he is 40, working as a cashier at Dollar General. The customer service here wastes every customer's time because they are slow, inefficient, and emotionally biased.

I had to drop off a FEDEX package while in the area for the first time. The young lady that took the package took time to give me directions to a couple of restaurants in town and was really friendly!

I can usually find what I want at a DG. They are usually clean and well lit. Variety and prices keep me coming back. This one was no exception. Keep up the good work.

They have good deals, however, the front door has been locked during business hours, they won't hire enough employees so check out lines are awful, and they get really pushy in the last 15 minutes before closing. I only go there when I have to.
