In the past I have used Frys for party platters, Because it was located closer to our office but I was greatly disappointed in the quality of the produce so this time our office decided to try Safeway and it was like night and day. Safeway did such an amazing job on our food platters. everything was so fresh, tasted so good and everything was gone at the end of the night unlike our unfortunate Frys platters. I would highly recommend Safeway if you are looking to do party platters!

This is a beautiful store. Flowering shrubs of lantana and oleander line the front. You can buy water bottle refills right outside. Inside there is always a helper preparing carts for the shoppers and is ready to help you have the best shopping experience. No need to weed out the embarrassing or non pushing carts yourself. The florist was the first thing we encountered on the left main entrance. The florist was the largest I've ever seen. If you need a gift real quick, this is the place to come. The flowers were unique and very beautiful. There are fun plushies to choose from. I loved the mammoth and octopus plushies. Tucked away in the corner is a fantastic choice of cards that bling and sparkle. Have a Star Wars fan or Disney lover. check out these cut cards that they have in my pictures.There is a Special Seasonal Items isle. They are very nice. My daughter was excited to see the Fire Peeps. The plushie rabbits were adoreable. The Pharmacy is in the very back. They have some very interesting display cases to look at while waiting. I took one picture to show how fun they are. Around the side of the Pharmacy to the right is discounted items shelves. The bakery had beautiful cakes on display.At the Deli by the store's right entrance you can find hot soups, chicken and meals as well as quick grab cold meals. There is a place to sit down but it is currently closed. A star bucks is here. I don't drink coffee but I LOVE the mermaid logo. there are many cups and Thermoses with the mermaid logo on them.At the end of the check out counters you can buy reusable bags. Regular bags are on the check out counters closest to the florist. Reusable insulated bags for frozen foods are nearest the check out counters by the Starbuck's station.I think it is funny that they even had a Crane game up front. It seems like every store is getting Crane games. Crane games are rigged, the machine needs to make x amount of $ before it lets someone win a prize. Not fair to kids. Yes it is fun and exciting to look at. but I don't play them.

UPDATE: I have edited my review to 4 out of 5 stars because of the prompt and professional response from management.This review is for the floral department. The rating is an average of 4 stars for flower quality and 2 for customer service. I went to purchase roses for mothers day. I needed 10 bunches and I had carefully picked out 6 when the florist told me that she couldn't sell me the roses because they weren't for sale yet. I asked when they would be available. She responded that they are for sale but she could only sell a couple of bunches. I asked if that's a Safeway company policy or just this particular floral department. She responded that other stores may have their own policy. I've never been subject to a minimum in the floral department and there weren't any signs posted. The flowers were in buckets out on the floor, ready to sell. She said that she would let me purchase the roses that were already in my cart but I couldn't pick out any more. I only needed 4 more. The associate was not rude, her tone was matter- of- fact, but she certainly was not friendly. I have no problem adhering to minimum purchase requirements, but none were posted. Thus, in this case, it would have been appropriate to allow me to purchase 4 more bunches and then post a sign for future customers if a minimum was to be implemented.

Alcohol is very over priced. To get regular price they want you to buy 6 bottles lol. Absolutely 💯 ridiculous. So now I just get it elsewhere.

Awesome store! Cashier let me substitute Gatorade for the Powerade that was .77 cents and sold out! Bought lots of cleaning and scrubbing supplies on clearance for .95 cents each: Get there while you can and say hi to the nice cashier lady for me in self check out! (I was a handful like usual and she stayed calm and professional). Thanks!!

The management here is terrible. Carts are all over the parking lot, items on the shelf are expired, and there's never baskets available. They've also somehow been rearranging inventory for weeks now, leaving many shelves empty.Asked a manager today if they had baskets after not finding any at either door and the response was "we only have one, the rest were stolen". I laughed out loud. Is this place run by a ten year old?

Only giving 3 stars because i usually nonly come to this safeway for the deli at lunch and no one ever seems to know what they are doing! Drives me crazy, i want to just go behind the counter and make the damn thing myself.

Really pricey and expensive. Also not to mention, me and my brother always avoid going here because the first time we visited we were followed by almost every single one of the staffs and on the walkie-talkies we heard all these code numbers being repeated . I don’t know whether it was because we’re both Mexican or just because we’re teenagers but however they definitely were quick to assume of us being thieves. How rude? We were just trying to simply by some groceries for our family. I would most certainly rather go to a place that is farther but cheaper and also most definitely not rude than go here.

Sadly my review is not a good one. Tonight I went into this location to grab something from the deli. When i walked in they had closed the deli 3 hours and 15 minutes early and the case was completely empty which means they started closing it a good 30+ minutes before I had gotten there. While I was looking around trying to see it maybe they had put some prepackaged things out I saw an elderly lady staring and standing at the deli case. She looked very confused. As I was about to ask if she needed help, even though I don't work here and there were 3 deli people right in front of her, finally someone asked her. And she was very confused why the case had already been closed down. As that's going on 2 more people come in thinking the deli was open and also found that it wasn't. I understand it's Sunday and employees would rather be home but if you don't want to work until the time you're supposed to remain open then maybe another job where you stay home and make zero dollars would be a better fit for you. This store is also falling apart. I use to go to safeway all the time until I moved on this side of town. Looks like I'm going to need to find a better store.

Easily the worst grocery store in Chandler. No baskets, shelves are bare, products are ridiculously overpriced. Store is not consistent whatsoever with the rest of the Safeway brand. You're paying Wholefoods prices for a dollar store experience.

Safeway might have great deals but they treat their employees like c*ap. They make them work 8 hour shifts and not allow them or schedule them a break. They said they don’t have to give a break by law only 10 minute break. When you take 15 minutes instead of the 10 that they allow they turn around and fire you for taking to long on a break. A horrible place to have a young adult experience the workforce for the first time a horrible place to work for as a whole. They for sure don’t even deserve a 1 star.

Love this store! Always neat, clean, organized! The staff is always pleasant, friendly, attentive, and helpful, even during busy times of day. That kind of energy and plaudits has a way of boosting and uplifting the spirit of the most agitated or irritable customer. I just wish 12-18 count Lucerne eggs were always on sale! Lol!

Friendly employees.Watch your recipe!! You are guaranteed to get money back at customer service. What is advertised on sale will ring up at full price. This happens so much that I will only use the pharmacy. I have stopped shopping Safeway.

Keeping it clean and uncluttered. My wife likes this one more than I, but still no reason to call it less than 5 star. Good produce. Nice flower shop. Helpful and quick butcher. Dairy section has a lot of stuff, so a little hard to see the trees in the forest. Deli and bakery. No sushi. Starbucks inside if you like coffee? Customer service helpful. Cashiers quick and helpful. I think U.S. Bank inside. Wells Fargo in same parking lot. Drycleaners also a good place to the East in the parking lot.

I like Safeway. Mostly for convenience. There are 2 close to where I live and when I visit my daughter, there is a Safeway close by her too.They usually always have more than what I am looking for and their prices are competitive.Their stores are always clean and there is always someone around if you need helpHope you have a great day 😊

I refuse to go here anymore. I have been going to this safeway for years but every time I go in, I see coworkers gossiping or complaining. Last time I was there the manager was rude to the kid working there telling him better hurry up because they need carts and told him chopchop. It's fine if you see joking but the way it was said was so rude. God forbid you need to return something you get rudely questioned about it. Management needs to work on setting a good example for the other employees there

My experience at this store continues to go downhill. Things are often out of stock or impossible to find. Now they're rearranging the entire store, it appears, but I fail to see the benefit. There are more shelves, but more than ever are empty. The staff working there are fine, but I have to question the store's leadership.

Wow!!! Love love love. No problem finding things other stores seem to constantly be out of. Store is clean and there is an African American man in the meat department that goes above and beyond every time I or my bf ask him to get us a particular cut of beef. He is the best!!! I wish I knew his name.

I was using it to pick up a doordash order. Very polite staff and location Is clean and organized. Just wish they reported to Doordash what isle to find products on. This was the first time I had to pick an order up from a grocery store that did not tell drivers exactly where to find products. Took me a lot longer to shop.

My husband had a retina surgery yesterday. And today the doctor prescribed drops for high pressure. We waited and waited. No response until we called to find out they don't have the drops in stocks until Monday!!! That was urgent and nobody cared enough to let us know! Bad customer service! Unacceptable!

When you ask the girl at the Bakery to write on a cake, be sure to ask if she is a cake decorator first.I asked if she could write Happy 21st Josh on a display cake for me. She said, "Sure, no problem." I went to get the rest of my shopping done and came back. While she did write what I asked for, it wasn't quite what I was expecting... lesson learned

This Safeway's produce Isle is excellent. Everything is very fresh and they have a great selection. I also like their selection of meats.The store is well lit and is always clean.

Customer service at the self checks is terrible! I like to go through the checkouts, staff is nicer. You would think in this day and age the company would automatically load Safeway shoppers cards with all coupons every week! I love the produce here but everything else is outrageously priced!
