The pet service folks always seem very friendly. The only problem is the results. Every time, you will get a small deviation from What you ordered or asked. Not all problems can be fixed, especially if the hair cut is already done in the way you don't want.

It seems like most reviews of this store are either for the wrong location or are strictly about the grooming. I come here frequently with my toddler to get things for our two dogs and also because my kid loves seeing all the animals. A lady named Audrey has helped us out a few times and is very personable and great with my toddler. One time like 6 weeks ago she let us pet a cat. On several occasions she's made recommendations. I remember her, but was shocked when we came in today and she remembered us. With the amount of people that go in there on a daily basis it shows how much the employees value customer service that she made an effort to remember repeat customers.

Always a 5 start place, with or without a pet. Sweet, tender hearted people. Needed a dog nail accessory, and they had 2 and gave advice on which would be better for my needs. Also, doggy daycare and pet training are here.

They have deals that are great and reasonable. Plenty of toys to choose from, I appreciate their Paws pads, super absorbing and has tape on four corners to keep it from sliding.

I've been coming here for 2 months off and on checking for shrimp and browsing around. Today was the first time I've been told that they don't get any shrimp anymore and that they have not received any kind of shrimp for over a year. Not only was the information not shared before but the plaques still hang marking several tanks for shrimp. I guess those have been empty for over a year too?I'm curious if anyone at all is tasked with the care of all the fish that are over there because there is always numerous dead fish and frogs in the tanks. The system health for all these tanks is bottom tier compared to sister locations. The help cart was in the browsing path, the floors were wet in places with no signage, and the only way to recieve help is to know or eventually see a button that needs to be pressed for an employee to activate customer service mode. Rotting packaged plants. Of course tons of miserable Betta fish.A truly Shameful showing from the PetSmart name as well an all to common place and a perfectly reasonable expectation from said company.All in all I'm glad to have learned that I never need to return to this store.Petco is caddycorner to the main intersection, they have leg up on this store in every possible aspect so please shop there instead.

Consistently a great place to find everything my dog needs. They had a pet adoption day going on today and it was really touching seeing the cute puppies and dogs being rescued by good people. The staff is wonderful at this facility and always very helpful.

I purchased a hamster last month from petsmart, Jafar as all of the employees I’m sure remember.A couple days after purchasing him I noticed he had blood in his urine so I brought him back in right away so petsmart could cover the vet fees.I didn’t get him back for what felt like over two weeks. When I came into the store to pick him up as well as more hamster supplies (I have 6 other hamsters) I was told the vet advised Jafar to be observed for 10 more days by the petsmart employees to make sure he was fine but Chris, the store manager, told me I was able to take him home with me for observations and that nothing negative came back from Jafar urine work and blood work. I was happy, I just wanted my buddy back home living his best life in his big cage. When I brought him home I noticed he wasn’t nearly as active, I thought maybe he was put through to much stress with getting medication daily for his UTI so I gave him a couple more days to feel safe again.Then I noticed his bum was very wet and I Suspected he had wet tail, he was extremely lethargic and weak looking I knew it was probably his time.Being that I had a 14 day time to bring Jafar back for any medical treatment and since my 14 days paused when Jafar was under petsmart a care I still had a day or two to bring him backI called the store asking to speak to Chris the manager of the store, I told him I thought it was Jafar time to be put down and I asked him if I could bring Jafar in the next day, since it was almost closing time, and he replied if I was in my 14 day window frame that they would take him back.I live all the way in Maricopa city so driving down there isn’t a breeze in the park so I asked if he could check my record to let me know if I was within the 14 daysHe seemed agitated and told me no because there were other customers on the floor he needed to help. I was obviously upset because I am a paying customer as well, I have spent a lot of money at his store, I’ve gone through the anxieties of calling every day to check on Jafar and he couldn’t take two minutes to look up my record.Chris wasn’t even sorry to hear that Jafar was in bad condition, he showed zero remorse which is surprising considering he is the manager of a pets store.The following day Jafar was discovered with a prolapsed rectum and passed away.I am so upset about this situation and I won’t be shopping here anymore.Rest In Peace Jafar❤️

Rory did such a great job on my Winter! She is probably the wiggliest dog I’ve ever met, but Rory was super patient with her. Rory listened to exactly how I wanted her trimmed and I am VERY pleased. Thank you!

(My review is based on being a reptile owner that frequently gets live food) I like using petsmart for when I don't want to drive far to a store that specializes in reptile food but they are very hit or miss 50-50 when it comes to live food. They almost always have live food but the condition of the live food is sometimes pretty bad with mostly dead or neglected bugs that you can tell have been sitting on the shelf in a cup for days without being fed, the other %50 you can get good healthy looking bugs (I'm guessing when new shipments recently came in) I will say the crickets are usually good most of the time if all else fails.

Sevian is great! He was patient while I chose out my fish and really went out of the way to catch the specific fish I wanted. This PetSmart is clean and well organized. I highly recommend it.

My mom brought her dog Peety here for grooming and it was a horrible experience. Took him in at 1, and said it should be a few hours. She followed up at 4 and was told he wasn’t ready yet. When my mom asked what was taking so long, they stated there had been an incident. My mom went in to see Peetys elbow and arm has been cut badly. He was left in a crate to clot the bleeding and act like nothing happened. When confronting them, they stated “he came in like this” which was completely false. They also cut hair where my mom specifically told them not to. After all of this, they still requested 50% payment! Avoid this place for grooming

This store really has a lot of variety when it comes to cats/dogs. Prices are a little high but it's a brick and mortar so that's expected.The staff was friendly and helpful.

(Edited on the bottom)They did not let me get a $5 small goldfish for my kid. They said they grow bigger throughout the YEARS and refused the sale. I don't think a little tiny baitfish would have lived THAT long under the care of my littlest son. He was so sad.So we had to settle on a beta fish. Kinda disappointed but somewhat understandable. It is not like it was this expensive saltwater fish though... 😒 😑(5/7/23)* I was so sad not being able to find my son the Axolotl stuffed animal in stock anymore. He is on the spectrum for Autism and lost his. He is so sad! Kelly at this location (with the Mohawk styled hair) went above and beyond to show she cared. Kelly took time to look it up on the computer to see if other locations have the stuffed animal in stock. She knew that it meant something to us! I'm so impressed and grateful for the extra heart! Thank you Kelly! 😊 *

Made an appointment/reservation a week ago to take pictures with Santa and I got there 1min too late because I had to work that morning and they said that he had already left. Whats the point of offering reservations and slots if they’re not going to keep to their word. I wasn’t 15 or 30 minutes late, I was ONE minute late. Terrible service.

Happy with the eyebrow and face trim, and nail grinding for my dog at this PetSmart Grooming. I like that I was able to take him same day for this service, (don’t have to wait a month) it took less than 20 mins and they did a good job. The groomer answered all questions. It’s also nice that you can see your dog getting groomed through the glass and from the lobby area. It’s certainly a plus that our dog likes going to the pet store as well. Pricing reasonable, as expected.

Very disappointed with the grooming department. Last 2 times they have made mistakes in scheduling the correct services. It doesn't bother me that they made mistakes, but what is unacceptable is that they just don't care!!!! They didn't even try to accommodate us. Find another store. This store takes us all for granted.
