What an awesome experience! The staff at Petco’s grooming salon in south chandler are awesome! Dillon was our groomer and he was so helpful in making a plan for our pups as well as executing and delivering quality service. We were also greeted by a very sweet young woman who loved on our nervous chihuahua and made him feel so comfortable and loved. I can’t express how pleased I was with our experience yesterday. I also have to share that we have always found quality and integrity with the Petco grooming salon. I’m not sure how they find their staff or their hiring process but keep it up!! 👌🏻We will be back even though this location is not the closest to our home. Thanks again Petco!

We are training our dog, so far our dog which we got as a puppy is really smart. But really we attribute that to the trainer Maddie!! We did two sessions so far 6 weeks each and we sat in on a few other classes to observe!! What a great trainer, she is so talented and so patient with all of the training. Petco you really hired a talented coach!! I will definitely train with her again!! 5 stars, our pup has learned, sit, focus, leave it, drop it, wait, down, stay. We are a work in progress making every day a new goal achieved!!

It seems like a good store to me, clean, with a good variety, it was not disorganized, the cashier was friendly. They have a variety of pets for sale. my daughters love to go there and see animals.

I just had an awful experience and I won't be coming back. My daughter's first fish tank has finally cycled and we were ready to get her first fish. I have owned fish for approximately 40 years and currently have 4 tanks and a pond. I taught a college course on fisheries biology for 5 years. I know fish. My daughter wanted 3 guppies for her 5 gallon tank, which is a completely acceptable amount according to every resource I could find. A person named Jay told me I was wrong and refused service. In front of my kids, other patrons and the other gentleman that was working there, Jay called me an unfit fish owner and refused to sell us any fish and told the guy that he was only allowed to sell us one. He apologized but said that he could only do what he was told and that he doesn't make the rules. I'm not going to go so far as to say that Jay should be fired. Jay could just use a little sensitivity training and coaching on how to speak to your clients. I was a semi-regular petco customer through multiple states for over 25 years. I will not be coming back due to the inappropriateness of this interaction. I had previously rated this store 5 stars, but the service level has been dropping for awhile and this finally made me take 4 of the stars away.

HORRIBLE!!!!! HORRIBLE!!! PLEASE view all my pictures and see what they did to my girls!!! They went from looking beautiful to looking like a 5 year old cut their hair and they did NOT apologize nor refund me for this. I didn’t ask for a refund but it’s very evident that they did a HORRIFIC GROOMING job on the girls. My heart is broken and my girls are embarrassed. Yes! They have feelings!! Shih Tzus take pride in their manes and this is NOT okay!!! Please go elsewhere! :(

Bumped up a star today👍. I came in for some fish and had a new guy help me out. Unfortunately, I think he just may have not known or not been familiar enough with fish care but it seems he may have filled the bag with cold tap water. Anyway, I got the fish and got home within 15 minutes. 1 of my 8 Tetra was already dead and it was noticeable that the rest were struggling. I had them acclimating in my tank for about 25 minutes but by that time all but one had literally gone belly up and sunk to the bottom of the bag. I immediately drove back and explained what was going on, luckily some aquatic competent employees were able to help. Even though those 8 fish didn't need to die today, it was nice to be met with understanding and have them replaced on the spot. All 8 made it back the second time and were doing well before lights out.Thanks again!

Shopped for dog food and fish buying both, while in the store several bins were marked 50% off marked price, so we picked up a dog toy--when we got the register the price rang up the amount on the tag, the lady at the register said that it is 50% off the original price-but is not clearly how the sign read, she did attempt to adjust the price per the signs but was not able. We were going to purchase several to donate to a rescue group, glad we did not because that is a horrible experience to be "fooled" like that. Need to be a whole lot clearer on the signage.

The other pet store where dogs on lease are most welcome. Prices are good, almost the same. If you are looking for something expensive, then cost comparison with PetSmart is a good idea. They carry identical products but use different vendors. I like both. 👍 For birds and fish, I like petco

We visit Petco grooming salon on AZ Ave Chandler for both of our boys’ “beauty” needs. We have a mini poodle mix and a very hairy large breed mix. Their needs are quite different yet they look, feel and smell great every time. The staff is talented and our dogs love going there. Shout out to Audrey and Levi—thanks!Oh, and scheduling through the Petco app couldn’t be easier.

Petco and PetSmart are pretty similar. I am lucky to have both around my area. This particular Petco has great customer service and always has plenty of stock.

They have cute and sweet hamsters and a stunning marine aquarium section However, the rest of the store is in near shambles. Out of many things, generally disordered. I'd go for salt water aquarium supplies and probably not much else.

I purchased two bags of food for my parrots, they never have anyone at the register so you always have to wait for someone to pay your stuff, I asked the woman to please make sure the bags were no expired and guess what, one of them expired 6 months ago. I went back and they told me to just grab another one and guess what lol all the 5 bags in the aisle were expired as well, luckily they went to the back and had one bag left that wasn’t. So just a heads up they never check their products to make sure they are providing us great value or at least not expired food for our pets.Another thing is that the employees see you but they don’t ever greet costumer or ask them if they are okay finding what I needed, I had to chase them around:(

I have visited this store many times in the last couple weeks as I have been setting up ab aquarium for the first time. Every single time I come in with questions the staff have been extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They have spent lots of time helping my find what I need and educating me about the different fish species as well as how to properly care for my fish. Love coming to the store!

We love taking Archie to see Lauren. She is so professional, kind and sweet. She treats our dog so nice and it’s always a pleasure to see her. Her work is also fantastic! Archie always looks amazing.

The store is always well maintained and usually well staffed, my girlfriend and I are regulars as we have two very large and high maintenance fish tanks, we’re always in buying supplies and food, the staff is always sweet and very helpful however tonight we were utterly disappointed with the service. The cashier Michael was rude and apparently in a rush to close the store. I asked for help as I wanted two aquatic plants and possibly a snail or two, he refused saying “we don’t do anything in the aquatic section after 7:30 since we close at 8”. I explained I’ve had multiple employees help me between 7:30 and 8, he rolled his eyes and said “that must’ve been an exception”. I said okay and asked where the bubbler lines were and he pointed to the fish section and said “somewhere over there” and resumed to scroll through his phone. As we were checking out I observed Michael check his watch 4 times, he even left me at the register, mid-transaction to lock the door at 7:55. He was incredibly rude, I’ve never had this experience from a Petco employee before, they’re always so sweet and lighthearted, Petsmart is closer to me but I always make the drive expecting better service, never again, Petsmart has my business from now on.

My dog had her follow-up vaccination. Everything is always easy. We come here mostly for vetco clinc for both fur babies. They always get to choose a toy when they act good. The last 3 trips have been a complete breeze thanks to the staff. They usually take us in before our time and we never really wait much. Love that we get the records emailed to us.

Just stay away. 95% of the employees seem to hate their jobs, they're rude as heck for no reason at all, and will go out of their way to ignore and avoid customers looking for products. Even if you're just picking up an online order, they find ways to be difficult. It's just ridiculous, and I've had enough. I'm taking all of my business to Petsmart and Chewy for ALL of my pets now.

Dillion does a great job with grooming my little YorkieBut I have a complaint with your coreporate concerning the Vial Care Program. I pay a monthly few for this program but the rewards expire too quickly. If I am charged every month and am not able to use these rewards because they expire so quickly. This does not seem like good custermer service. They should at lease be good for a year or so.

We wanted to purchase online and pickup in store, but could not as Petco does not accept payment through the use of their Pectco Merchandise Card, ours had over $73 on it. Therefore, we missed out on the 10% online order discount for in-store pickup. Also Petco dos not price match and Amazon had the exact same product & size online for 20% off! We missed out on both these discounts opportunities. Due to this incovenience we did go into the store to make our purchase, zeroed out or merchandise card and we fellowed up by cancelling all our upcoming and future autoship orders with Petco. We will take our business elsewhere due to these unfriendly customer policies.

The couple times we have visited this location in Chandler is one of her Petco have been fantastic. Lauren Is our groomer, she is absolutely fantastic with our baby boy Poncho! We appreciate the haircut he receives and how she treats him when we arrive. We appreciate your time and service in highly recommend her!
