0/5. Dishonest Staff. I scheduled an appointment for a ride-share vehicle inspection. I failed for the first time. In the same vehicle that I’ve been using for years. Same condition. They stated the reason for the failure is due to a crack in my windshield, which hasn’t traveled and has been there since I purchased the vehicle over 3 years ago. There's no real reason to replace the windshield because it's not a threat to my safety or that of others. They stated that my horn doesn’t work. I even mentioned that couldn’t be right, and I was informed that they attempted 6x to press on my horn and nothing. I kindly went to my car and played a nice tune for them before I left. This place needs a thorough, deep clean in the customer-waiting "lounge," just as bad as they need honest staff.

They were fast at getting me information. They price was better than others i shopped out. I had a taillight out, instead of over charging me for equipment that i did not need, they fixed my problem fast. I will be back.

I scheduled an appointment for a free wheel alignment check after work (about 5:30pm I got there and they close at 7pm). I get to the appointment and yes they appeared busy (about 4 people waiting) and the guy at the desk looked stressed. I go to check in and tell him “Im confident my car needs an alignment but I just got it, its under warranty with SilverRock , and right now I would just like the diagnosis sent over to them, we can schedule for the wheel alignment another day after it’s been approved”… the guy looked so annoyed, tells me SilverRock would charge me a diagnosis fee over $100, and the wheel alignment itself is the same price, he continues on to also say he’s confident SilverRock wouldn’t even approved it, told me he couldn’t even do the diagnosis at that time because the work and diagnosis would have to be done the same time, and if I choose to still go through SolverRock after all he’s said, then I might as well plan to drop my car off for the entire day… I said “all of that for a wheel alignment, we aren’t talking major work and I’m well aware of how SilverRock works I’ve utilized them multiple times now I just wanted the diagnosis done so it’s marked at this mileage I’m currently at”… fast forward to his personal phone ringing non-stop, he finally tells me “you know what let me ask my boss if I can just give you the alignment for free” he steps outside and gets on his cell talking super loud for a bit, actually comes back in and tells me “yeah that was my boss I can’t give you the alignment for free… but I can reschedule you for Saturday morning (mind you this is like a Tuesday and warranty goes off mileage and I already told him I work super far daily my concern was the mileage at the time of diagnosis)… he scheduled me for Saturday, I left and I did not return. I went to two other shops to get the diagnosis and work done that I wanted. They got with SilverRock and I was in and out for all repairs including that wheel alignment I wanted in under an hour. ZERO cost to me, my warranty covered it all.I’m sure the guy just was busy, and it was towards the end of the day, and he possibly had some personal issues going on… I can hold empathy for all of that, but I didn’t appreciate the “bs-ing” me just to push me out the door.I will not be returning to this shop because of this experience nor recommending them to anyone.

This location is awesome, and I mean that. I've come here for my oil changes for a few years now, and they always take care of me and my car :)It's almost 10 mins from my house, and I actually have another Pep Boys location only a minute down the road from me.... I went there the time before this and did not have anything like the experience I get at this location. I will drive the extra few mins from now on!A big thank you to all the guys and gals here who treat every customer and car with respect and thank you for always being so kind!Oh, and this location has done some remodeling, it looks great! Nice big waiting area with a charging counter and everything!

Annette was absolutely wonderful! She was insightful, patient, and kind. Not only did she know what she was talking about, she was happy to share her knowledge by answering our (MANY) questions. I will travel any distance if it means Annette will be the person helping me! 10/10 would recommend!

*BELIEVE ALL OF THE BAD REVIEWS* came in today for a full diagnostic as promised by one of the representatives on Saturday, Uri the guy at front desk told me I was here for an oil change which wasn’t accurate. We weren’t greeted, as soon as we walked in he seemed irritated that we were there. I was coming to get codes looked at due to a light on my dashboard. I guess the guy wasn’t in that originally spoke with, and Uri the guy that took care of me and my friend wasn’t filled in but he had the worst attitude ever. The guy I spoke to on the phone was very nice!! so I was happy and excited to patron a mechanic that could possibly be my regular mechanics. Uri was so rude I began to record everything on my phone in disbelief at his attitude and horrible customer service skills, when we first walked in his whole demeanor was rude, not apologetic that we had wasted time and gas. He told me an oil change was 148 and we were fully prepared to pay for it because he said where we bought the car was closed and and it had to be approved, he didn’t ask if we wanted to pay out of pocket and be reimbursed through our car company he just basically rushed us out and wanted us gone, he’s losing the company money because we would have paid out of pocket until everything was sorted out we just wanted to make sure our car was okay. I asked for his manager and he told me her name was Annette but didn’t have a card or any contact info. I mean I don’t expect much from a chain like pep boys auto, but I did expect Atleast some human decency and for Uri to Atleast be apologetic. I will be contacting corporate or whoever I have to to make sure that this doesn’t happen to anyone else. Uri should be fired immediately he makes the whole business look bad and what business wants to lose money?! Again believe the reviews !! They aren’t lying 1/21/24

I helped pay for my dad's belt to be fixed only for it to break down within minutes. When I called the guy shared with me that they told him he needed other work or that it would break down again. They never told me! The person paying for it 500$ to help my dad who doesn't have a job. Then my dad found someone to help him and they fixed his belt without needing all the stuff they said he needed! I'm out 500$ and this company doesn't care. They said they put it in the notes.... Really? After I paid and you emailed it to me. Don't go here!

I have been taking my vehicles to this Pep Boys location on Arizona Ave in Chandler for years and years. They always treat me well, take good care of my auto needs, and don't soak me for huge amounts of money. Good people, good service.

Let me start off by saying, Annette is wonderful. BUT, this place is a joke.I purchased a car through DriveTime, who offers a 30 day limited warranty through SilverRock. I was instructed to take my car in for an inspection after getting an initial oil change and inspection from Brakes Plus. Brakes Plus says there’s a TON wrong. Pep Boys says, your car has NOTHING wrong! So I insist on a second test drive; oh, hey, it MIGHT be your transmission.Dope. Time for a third opinion. Now Big O Tires is confirming that at least half of what Brakes plus said, is in fact wrong, just not covered by my warranty. There’s a huge difference..As I’m walking out, an employee of Pep Boys is talking about how he doesn’t trust Pep Boys at all. Lol. Me neither, bro.

Dishonest Management - stay away!!!I have been visiting this location for the last 10 years for tire servicing and oil change.The last store manager, Scott, has been the reason why I keep coming back. He was honest and looked out for my interest.However, my last few visits have been extremely frustrating and disappointing.Recently, I brought my puntured tire to be fixed, and it was under road hazard warrenty. The store manager refused to fix the tire giving reasons such as the puntured location is not fixible and the tire is too old with hairline cracks.I was frustrated and upset as I know this can be fixed. I left the shop for another Pepboy location a few blocks away.The service technician at the other location looked at the punctured tire and immediately said this was absolutely repairable.After this experience, I know I should never return to Pepboy shop.From here on, I am better off getting my tire servcing from Costco and oil change at Walmark.

I made an appointment for an oil change. I asked how much would it cost? the lady asked my car model, year, and oil type I want. Gave me quote around $75 total. I thought it’s fair price and made the appointment. My wife went to the appointment and the price changed to $125 (40% increase out of nowhere) decided to do oil change somewhere else

I'm always skeptical about getting work done on my car. I prefer to do it myself. But the few times I've had my car here Rudy has been nothing but excellent! Great customer service! He explains things thoroughly and doesn't show frustration when asked 100 questions.. Rudy is amazing and does a fantastic job. Seems to really enjoy his job, does everything well with a smile on his face! 10/10 would recommend to friends and family!

I needed a vehicle inspection to continue driving for Lyft, Uri was very thorough and quick and had me back in the road in no time, I will be sure to return to pep boys specifically this location for all of my future vehicle needs.

Rudy and everyone at this PepBoys were absolutely awesome. I ran into some issues with my brake warranty at AutoZone next door and they were very helpful in figuring everything out and getting me new brakes that no longer squeak:). Great service thank you guys and especially Rudy.
