This Catalina Hardware store lives up to the ACE brand. I come from White Bear Lake, MN and in that town, ACE Hardware was and is the Hub. Catalina ACE Hardware has the same qualities. You walk in the store and a staff member is there waiting to greet or help you. These guys and gals are technical, helpful and know where everything is in the store. When I was looking for a Weber Natural gas grill, I checked all the bigger hardware stores in Oro Valley/Tucson, then called Catalina ACE and spoke to the manager Steve because I wanted to shop locally. His price was competitive and he knew the answers to my questions. A week later he arrived with the grill and cover and expertly installed it in my back patio. This was July 2019. Then recently I struggled with a lamp and shade purchased in Colorado 15 yrs ago. This is not an ordinary lamp, so I bought some parts on my own at this ACE and tried to fix it, but I'm not that good at it so I asked a staff member who told me to bring in the shade, which I did. Such a busy store nearly every time I am there, but I left my lamp/shade, Steve and staff fixed it and called me an hour later to pick it up. We folks living in SaddleBrooke and SaddleBrooke Ranch are very fortunate to have this ACE Catalina Hardware and many people here comment how much they appreciate and "go to" this store.Thanks to the MGR and Staff, keep up the good work!!

The staff is always helpful and they know what they are doing. This ACE seems to have more stuff than other stores. At least I always find what I need. It's a nice store, I like it.

I love this store! It is so nice to go to a hardware store where the staff is so kind and helpful. I love that I never feel patronized for whatever crazy project I have going on. I love that after getting the wrong thing doing an exchange is incredibly easy. This is my favorite hardware store and Oro valley!

First off I'm a long time customer of this ace. Small and large purchase such as I bought a 600 dollar chainsaw this year and fully planned on buying all the parts and fluids from this store. But after my last experience I have changed my mind. I needed to repair my a/c unit which required some copper tubing. Which they had. not knowing how much I would need I bought 12ft that was left off a spool of theirs at the counter found out the it was vary expensive. But paid it so I could have cool air at home. Luckily I only needed 4ft when I went to return the left over 8 ft I was told that they wouldn't take back their over price item. That they would still have if i knew that 4ft would have been enough. So over a 28 dollar return they have lost a good customer.

All the wonderful things my neighborhood Ace has to offer ! When you get to the register ,There are soo many unique items . The only place I have seen tabet almond oil. The Hours are standard and the employees are very helpful . I experienced a parking lot sale with so many low priced items I should have opened up a go fund me account , having necessities ,if anyone needs them ,I would be essential to my neighbors lol.

I visited this location on Sat, April 23 at approximately 5:30 pm. The cashier did not greet me at checkout, even after I politely greeted her. After checkout, I thanked the cashier and again, received no response. Knowing this was a-typical, I asked the cashier if she was ok, and got no response. She then proceeded to so busy work near the counter and I politely asked “ma’am, are you ok?” She glanced at me, waved her arms in the air as if to ask what I was referring to, but never bothered to articulate a response. This was the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. If I didn’t need the staple gun so badly, I would have gone elsewhere. Perhaps management will be interested in pursuing this matter further. Very disappointed.

It's a nice clean little store. Lots of interesting merchandise. The prices are higher than some but it's convenient for me when I need something for the RV Park In manage. The employees are all very nice and helpful all the way up to the Manager, Steve

Everyone was wearing a mask. Customers are also required to wear a mask. I appreciate this as I will not shop in stores that allow employees and customers to go without one. While I was in there, a rather obnoxious man came in with out a mask and ignored the cashiers request to put one on. She called for backup. The situation was handled well. On top of that, the customer service was excellent and I found everything I wanted. Keep up the good work with the mask situation.

The prices here are simply ridiculous. People saying they are reasonable have to be shills. For instance I needed Bun coffee filters they were around $5.50 here for a box. The same filters at Walmart are $1.86 a box. That is roughly a 300% higher markup. This is just one example. I dont shop here unless I am desperate. I hate their price gouging. Just my opinion.

Almost everything you need, a little bit on the exspensive side but everything is name brand quality from tools to materials, Also lots of great local stuff and an incredible book section!! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, they are always great help.Great way to get quality stuff you need for in and around your home, and super great way to support your local businesses.

I go here at least two or three times a month, it's always my first try when I need something hardware, but a lot of times they either do not carry what I need or are out of it. When they do have what I need it's a great experience, like recently I purchased A 10 lb package of 6011 welding rod at a competitive price and I didn't have to drive all the way in to Tucson, I left a happy camper...

I like hardware stores. Something about them just feels you with possibilities. All the different parts on the shelves, you could make anything. I went here with my uncle. Needed to get new chain pull for the ceiling fan. Walked in and asked someone right away where I could find this and boom, it was exactly where they said. Everyone here was friendly and had a small town feel. The store reminded me of the hardware store I visited as a young girl.

Disappointed, had a water leak at the house. Rushed over there for repair parts and arrived minutes before closing. There were three employees just standing there, doors locked and would not help me. Businesses like this one should be a member of the community. It would have been very simple not to close early. Even though it was just a few minutes, it really set the repairs back.

The staff was helpful enough but I can't say I enjoyed the experience. I needed an adapter to connect a garden hose to a sump pump. The guy that helped me led off the conversation by asking if it was for my "grow op." I told him it was for home brewing and he continued to talk to me as if whatever I was doing was illegal. A lot of "I don't want to know" and condescending statements. I'll give them three stars because he found a solution that worked but it was rather unpleasant.

Good selection for a relatively small store and great service. I always stop there first, ask and then when necessary go on to a "big box". Most of the time though, they have what I need. My experience the past year or so is that their prices are OK. A bit more of course but I value service and convenience enough to make it worthwhile.

The staff are very attentive and helpful, the prices are great and they have everything you might need for Home Improvement Garden or basic repairs. They also do great job on screens for Windows. this is the closest thing available to a warm and friendly small town hardware store, but with fabulous item selection for every Hardware need.
