This place rocks!! The location has friendly, knowledgeable people and hard to find specialty tools and hardware. Was looking for a pop-rivit gun. They were the only hardware store around that had it in stock. Good selection of fastners too. Try them out. Much better than the big box places

I usually have a very pleasant experience here with friendly staff. Today an employee intentionally ignored me and then made completely unprofessional statements to me because she has shopped at my store and didn't agree with our return policy (she also threw her non-returnable item at me before storming out). I told her she was being unprofessional and she continued to go on. I walked out without my purchase then called to talk to the manager who seemed to care less. This is very unfortunate because it is so much more convenient to shop here if I need an item or two rather than driving all the way to Lowe's or Home Depot.

The people that work the counter were no help at all on anything today it was ridiculous I had to tell them that they even sell the item I was looking for and then they told me well we don't know if they're in stock even though online since they're in stock and I really don't even think they knew what they were looking for honestly so of course I didn't get what I needed

Asked to use the restroom while shopping and the punk kid told me to go next door. I know which door is the restroom, as it has always been a public restroom until covid.Rude way to treat customers. I will drive further to pass this one up.

I am a military vet, this store offers a military discount like many do (Home Depot, Lowe's, etc) and you have to sign up for their rewards program to take advantage of it (unlike Home Depot, Lowe's, etc...you just have to show an ID). So I get $5 off Reward Coupon and attempt to use it and was informed by the cashier (Mary) that I could not use it since I already was getting a Mil discount. Nothing about that on the back of the card...she then informed me that I would be "double dipping" and that was illegal! The only way I could use it was to remove my Mil discount from my Rewards profile. Illegal, ummmm NO...convoluted store policy, YES!So what's the point of sending me Reward coupons if I can't use them? I guess Karsten's Ace Hardware offers a Mil discount to match Home Depot or Lowe's, but with strings. I can use coupons at either of those stores and still get my Mil discount on top...they value those who have served, Karsten's Ace Hardware obviously does not. At least I know who deserves my business.

Had keys cut and they all fit my doors at home. Purchased a 1 gallon multi use sprayer. The employee walked me to the sprayers and and answered my questions. I had a very good experience shopping at Ace.

Good selection and location. Some items priced high, but can save travel time. Ordered a speciality spray paint online and picked up here at a lower cost than Amazon. So do not count them out. Friendly and numerous staff most of the time. Some sale items not marked, check the ad flyer at the store. Some discounts not in the system, watch at checkout. Has more kinds of fasteners than the bigboxers!

Bought some Christmas icicle lights a few years ago at this store. I was in need of a few more strands and nobody is carrying anymore (specific colors). I spoke to Chad at this location and he took the initiative to research the warehouse to see if they had any inventory left from prior years...and he found them. Excellent customer service...very helpful and great attitude!

Ok guys... You have to ask for Dave!! He is one of the Operations Managers. I went in needing for one window screen to be re-screened. It was gonna be a 3 week wait, but our company needed this screen back sooner. You see, I work for a custom home builder and we had clients that needed this window fixed ASAP. Dave personally understood the predicament we were in and was able to expedite the process. He was so polite and helpful!!! He truly went above and beyond that day to help us out, and we appreciate him very much! Thanks to Dave! He's truly an ACE at Karsten's Ace Hardware in Carefree!!

Ace is the place with the helpful hardware folks..... I needed screws to put together a desk. And ace have any size screws bolts, washers, ect... Very happy with the service. I found what I was looking for. Thank you. Would definitely go to ace again.

I can't say enough great things about the manager, Nick. He went above and beyond to assist me and my dad with finding a particular item we needed that was a tough find. In a world where people seem to do the bare minimum just to "get it taken care of", Nick demonstrated exactly how much of a difference it makes when people actually care and go the extra mile. We'll be back more often as a result. Thank you.

I build and restore cars and trucks. If I need a hard-to-find part for certain things, I can normally find it there. The price may a little higher but worth it to not wait for something to ship.

I don't usually shop at this location. Store is small and crowded. Limited selection of some items. Service at the register is slow. The Tatum and Dynamite location is much better.
