I spent my whole life in Phoenix and always wanted to make the trip North to try the famous Rock Springs pie. I was pretty disappointed to see that if you just want pie you walk into the “pie box” and just grab a piece of precut pie from the fridge and pay at the counter and then just sit wherever. To me, pie should be warm and not taste like it’s been sitting in the fridge for a few days. Maybe will be back to try the actual food but was pretty disappointed by the pie. The rest of the property is cute.

I will give you guys 5 ⭐️. Thank you for the service and food. This is a good place to do a stop on your trip. This place have a RV and Truck parking lot back to the store. The restaurant is clean and a good environment. Also have a bakery store where you could get delicious pies and jellies. I recommend you get the Chicken Stacker if you are hungry 😋Parking: Enough spaces for car and RV also for semistruck if you will get food on restaurant. The entrance is by the gas station

Passing through and decided to try this place for lunch. We were seated right away, and servers had a generally friendly casual service, typical of a roadside cafe. I ordered a burger, which looked good but was overcooked, and didn’t seem drained of flavorful at all, there was catsup on the table but no mustard or mayo (and none on the burger). Tried to flag down our server but to no avail. Fries were ok. U husband ordered fish and chips (fries), and did not care for it either. We felt it was overpriced as well.Went into the Christmas shop upstairs…they have some interesting things, but they were all Scottsdale fashion square prices in this little western town shop.Sorry, but we weren’t impressed.

If the hostess was any reflection of the service inside the cafe, I will take a hard pass at eating there. She did not appear to be enthused to be there. When I asked a couple of questions, answers were curt and unfriendly. You can tell she did not want to be there and wore her attitude clearly. The young lady behind the counter who helped me when I purchased coffee was courteous and pleasant. The Christmas shop upstairs was quaint. See photos. In general, I like the ambiance of the Cafe and outside the Cafe.Like any business, one person can ruin the entire guest experience. I would recommend the owners better train the hostess on customer service.

This place is just adorable! Our son had heard about and recommend to us. We were Not disappointed. From the atmosphere, decor, service, food, and all the little extras - pie, candy, salsa, ice cream, fudge, taffy… absolutely wonderful. Our server, Sharon, went above and beyond with her beautiful smile, recommendations, and appreciation for my husbands military service - even offering military discount! Prices are reasonable, food is all from scratch. Just great!!!

This was our second visit. The legendary pies do not disappoint- large, filled to the brim with fruit, and absolutely delicious. Worth every penny. In my pics you can see that the slice of lemon meringue was too good to last for a picture 😅This time we actually stopped to look around the shops and premises. Super cool place, really. Especially noteworthy was one of the shops to the left of the cafe that was selling Raw Honey, beef jerky and farmer market type stuff. I left with a jar of Desert Wildflower honey. Now, I love my raw honeys, but this one is particularly awesome. The texture was extra thick and silky and the levels of flavor are indescribable. I will be picking up a big jar any time we stop from now on. The central store inside the cafe had a cool and unique variety of jams, sauces and pickles. More unique options than many other shops of the like. We bought a cool handmade, heart shaped gravy boat and some "Bear Jam" that was basically a mixed berry that included elderberry, which I thought was cool. There is an area out back you can also explore with a little trail and waterfall where they hold events. You could definitely make a little mini excursion out of just visiting the little "village" of shops. It's also super easy to get on and off the freeway for the stop, so, thats a bonus if you get a little anxious about that kind of thing. We weren't hungry enough for a meal so we have yet to try the sit down cafe. And maybe next time my kids will talk me into one of the "Pie shakes".Parking: Easy access from the highway

WOW!!! What a true treat! To start, the staff is Top Notch friendly! The food, delicious! I had the hand breaded cod that was cooked to perfection! THE PIES!!! ❤️ They have an awesome selection of homemade pies! Even though I was stuffed from dinner, I got a slice of Jack Daniel's peacan pie to-go! The jam shop has a bit of everything! Heck, you can even order adult livation at the table if you so choose! This place is a Must Stop!

I had been meaning to stop here after passing by for years. It's a really cool spot off the highway that's right out of the show Supernatural. So we made time to visit this trip. They have a rock shop new agey art store. Beef jerky, ice cream, gasoline. The main cafe, a general store and restaurant and finally the pie box where you can take home any variety of pie you ever dreamed of. I was here for the Supernatural experience, though, so I sat down for pie. Of course, I wanted to be Dean and therefore my husband should be Sammy but Mike didn't want to be Sammy either. So, there we were 2 Deans. Agents Van Halen and Bon Jovi, having pie on the side of the road out in rugged AZ. Working a case of the Superstition mountain wendigo. The pie is fantastic, the place is really fun, the staff is friendly.

A nice place to stop for a bite on the way home. Menu is not fancy or pretentious. Solid home cooked style offerings. Fantastic shop with all kinds of jams, pickled items and hot sauces. (Believe it or not, they're Ghost Pepper. Ketchup is fantastic on steak.)And the pies are incredible.

Randomly pulled off the highway to explore and happened upon this spot. It was early morning, and I pulled in just because it looked to be open. Very pleasant surprise! A little conglomerate of businesses including the Cafe, a farmers market, gem shop, gas station, and my personal favorite- The Pie Box. Behind all of this is a pleasant outdoor garden/ nature spot that is open for relaxing, walking the dog, and checking out a little steam and waterfall. The Pie Box has a seating area inside with large windows that open up to the outside. I imagine if I lived here I would enjoy a Pie breakfast and coffee too frequently. The bakers were busy and the place smelled amazing! Good selection of freshly made pies... too many to mention. Got a slice of peach which was delicious and not too sweet. Cool spot that is family oriented and a good spot to stretch your legs or just relax and have a treat.

Not very friendly to large groups. We had 11 and they planned to make us wait a considerable amount of time. We explained that we would be glad to split up if that would help. They suggested that splitting up was impossible. Pies are pricey and they don’t seem to want the money we were trying to give them. Sure if you are alone or a retired couple, it may be a good stop. If you are with a group, I would suggest just keep on going. There are other options. We ended up just leaving after a bit to find someone interested in doing business with us.

Customer for many, many years. Ordered two pies (Bourbon pecan & Peach) for Thanksgiving (picked up @Elevate coffee shop @ Norterra) besides the prices are now ridiculous, you no longer get your monies worth. Peach pie hardly had enough filling (center collapsed and doughy) pecan pie was delicious, but lacked enough filling. Very disappointed, have seen a tremendous change with the pies in the past couple of years, as far as skimping on the fillings, yet increased prices as they're way overpriced for what you get. This is the last year for us. New customers beware, you'll be disappointed and overcharged! Greed is the culprit here, as it has caused the proprietor to produce sub-standard, low quality pies. They're legendary alright, by ripping off their customers. $$$$$I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

How did I miss this place? I've driven by many, many times and always notice the sign for pie. I love pie. I think I have reminded myself many times that I should stop by there next time I'm passing through. I'm kicking myself for not stopping EVERY time I've passed through. The building was fantastic! So many things to look at. I loved the little Christmas area upstairs. We went to the cafe and ordered some pie. The server was so nice! We'd come back just for her. The pie was so good! I think we got a Tennessee Lemon and Strawberry Rhubarb. They were both fantastic. We also ordered some ice waters. We both commented that the ice water was some of the best water we've had in a long time. I saw the filtration system in the way to the bathroom and took a picture of it. I want one! Also, the bathroom... It was crazy! The urinals were beer kegs, there were license plates all over the walls and the sink faucets were some kind of Steampunk contraption. Pretty cool! On our way out, we noticed a little garden off to the side. We walked through and it just kept going. It's a whole event venue. There was so much space! there were multiple levels with drink stations and a waterfall and trees and plants everywhere. It was very impressive. There wasn't an event happening so we were just wandering around to look at stuff. We will definitely be back. We have like 20 more pie flavors to try.

We’ve been going to this place to grab lunch and their famous pies for many years. While you might think that a $20+ pie is expensive, once you taste it, you easily would pay $50 for it. I always get the banana cream pie, but my wife and kids love the Mixed Berry pie with crumbles. I don’t even like berry pie, but it is sensational. In the last year, they have built a new building, called the Pie Box so that the customers going just for the pie don’t block the restaurant entrance with long lines. They actually have really good burgers. The bathrooms are very unique, especially the keg urinals. The exterior is pretty cool, so it’s worth a walk down to the little creek in the back of the restaurant. There is a huge bandstand and dance patio in the back of the place, as well as a mini restaurant and serving area for weddings and parties.

Well wasn't there for the world famous pies rock springs is known for! But a vehicle fire in front of me that just happened I was in the right place to help a tow truck driver on I 17 extinguish a vehicle fire, with a larger extinguisher, this is what happens when you tow a front wheel drive vehicle the wrong way, transmission is spinning with out lubricant got so hot it caught the transmission on 🔥 just need to replaceMy extinguisher 😆 Molly the wounder dog and her faithful companion me saves the day aging 😄 😊 all in a days work for a disabled veteran still serving his community and doing the right thing the driver was was pretty shook up, but after a similar experience last year on the beeline highway I watched a semi tractor trailer 40 ft with a non proficient driver out of Chicago come down from Payson overheat his breaks stop and set in the cab till the breaks bursts into flames continued to set there till I crossed the median and ran over to him ,he said to me what do I do what do I do! I said get you fire extinguisher out and I stopped a tanker trailer driver and got his fire extinguisher but buy that time the back of the truck and front of the trailer was fully engulfed and the small extinguishers and the lack of help buy the driver and the slow moving tanker driver I'm sure I could have saved that 150,000 dollar truck let alone the the load that was lost and the time and effort for the debree to get cleaned up and the inconvenience of the south bound lanes closed for hours, luckily no one was injured, just the drivers pride! Luckily after I saw it was beyond stopping I had the driver get his personal stuff out of the cab before the whole enchilada burnt to the ground I mean toast! So that's why I carry a large extinguisher, stay safe out there!!

This place was amazing. The only thing was the hostess was kinda rude about a misunstanding and a mix up. The waitress and food was amazing. I loved walking around the property. The guy in the marketplace was amazing. I loved the pie box. The wild turkey and the burger was the best. Thank you for the dog friendly patio. Parking lot was small for all the people. Thank you for making our trip the best. We will be back. I loved the fact that you guys offered us breakfast with only 4 minutes to go. We had already decided on lunch.

Let me just preface this by saying that I am not a pie person. I don’t normally like fruit pie, or cream pie, I do enjoy a pumpkin or a sweet potato pie, but that’s normally the extent. My boyfriend and I stopped here after visiting Chilleens, because he was raving about the pie. When we went in there were quite a few pies on the menu, but not pumpkin or sweet potato (it was the middle of summer) so I went with apple. When I tell you that this was the best damn apple pie I’ve ever had in my life… holy… anytime we pass this place from now on, it is my mission to stop in and try a different pie. I feel like they make our how pie is supposed to be made. I’m definitely still not a pie person, unless it’s a rock springs pie.

Loved it ❤️ went to spend time with my grandparents and my mother. The place is a cute, warm place for family 👪 ❤️ 💙 💕 and friends. They have a 2nd floor called the "Christmas floor" 🎄 everything is all Christmas. They also sell ice cream, jams, sauce, and jewelry 😋 👌 😍 . The restaurant was good service 👌 the blueberry was appetizing, and customer service was great 👍 👌. They are very welcoming.

Best Diner experience I have had. The food is everything you expect. Filling, Flavor, and freshly cooked. I personally didn't feel any gimmicks or tourist trap vibes. Locals and travels all over the place. Pie was great.
