Never again will I go to the delI. I went to order and there was a heavy set girl with purple hair speaking very loudly about her personal life which i didn't care to hear. I didn't go there for that she was wearing a very dirty uniform. she reaked of cigarettes. hair was black and purple. was very rude to me when I interrupted her griping session. rolled her eyes ar me. I believe the other employee referred to her as Hannah. I can't say for sure what the name was this was in the early evening tIme. dont remenber the exact date.... clearly seemed as though a drug user never have I ever been treated as though I was a bother.. safeway you just lost a good paying customer. ill come back when she is gone.

Just made a quick trip in & out to grab goodies for Super Bowl. Had to have a tub of those delish wings in a variety of flavors & some of the little ribs as well. Found everything I wanted & no waiting in line.

Basic Safeway, has all regular departments with small assortment in most. Cashiers do a great job getting people checked out quickly.

Great place. There is NEVER a line stretching from the pharmacy to the door, as mentioned in a review posted at the end of 2022. That reviewer stated that the "line that goes out the door most of the time" In 20 years I have never seen this. The comment was pure fantasy.

Clean and organized. Nice employees. Most are helpful and kind. Produce is fresh and good variety. Meat section carries everything from beef and fish to lamb. I've tried various fruits and vegetables that I hadn't heard of before. Good weekly sales and app is simple to use. I recommend the Benson Safeway for all of your needs.

Terrible service from the cashier. She was rude, dismissive and argumentative. Only wanted to argue about my card not saying Safeway on it and caused a scene. Honestly, avoid this location. Not only has it really gone down hill...alot of there "fresh" chicken and meatloaf are out of date and literally rock solid. Go to the local Walmart instead 😂

All the wings looked gross and dry so i didnt get any. Tried again like 2 weeks leter. Same thing. By 6 all the wings were gross and dry and sitting all day.

For years we have ordered the turkey and ham dinners from our local Safeway. This year was no different, only that they did not give us the ham dinner and the turkey dinner was barely able to feed my sister's family. We get both dinners because it is for our entire family. Because my mom is disabled in a wheelchair, I went in a week in advance to pay for both dinners so that my sister or nephew could pick them up the day before Thanksgiving.Being that they did not give the ham dinner, My mom told my sister to keep the turkey dinner for their family. I was out of town, so my parents literally had no Thanksgiving. When I spoke to my mom that day, she was so upset and in tears because she was not providing the family dinner she hoped for. The next day she called Safeway and spoke to the store manager and he offered $10 and to pick up the ham dinner. She was not very happy with that because it was past Thanksgiving. This is when I called and I spoke to a manager in the deli who felt really bad. He said that I could get a refund for the ham dinner since it was never received. Unfortunately it was out of his control to do anything about the turkey dinner that was a complete disappointment. He did apologize.Today, I went into Safeway to get the refund for the ham dinner and speak to the store manager about anything they could do about this whole situation. He had a completely straight face, never apologized, didn't even sound remorseful that they had ruined my family's Thanksgiving. Online that meal said that it should feed so many people, but it wasn't able to do that. He was very smug. Safeway has lost my family's business. We would rather drive 30 minutes to go to another grocery store which would be cheaper and have better service, I'd rather pay the gas for that.

This Safeway makes the best Baguettes! Crispy crust and light, fluffy bread. I have lived in San Diego, New York and San Antonio and can truly say this is the best baguette I have ever had!❤

Often out of many of the products I regularly buy... understand during covid but not now...I think this store is too small for the demand and they order only by computer I am told ..no way to manually override...I am told they order but the company does not send...this company and store are not very well managed....the Bisbee store needs to be expanded... also many of the items I use to buy are overpriced l so I stopped

We're from out of town but frequent the area for business. Sadly, in the days we live in, it's incredibly rare to find positively outstanding customer service. Thankfully we can not say that was the case about our experience for this Safeway today.I'm out of town and an urgent need to send flowers arose after 4pm. Dealing with a small town, it's already difficult to find a floral shop (if there's one in the local hospital it wasn't even open) but Safeway saved the day for our needs. Brian and Illi saved the day and not only assisted us with a purchase over the phone, but hand delivered them to the hospital. I'm 1000% certain this is not in either of their job descriptions, but it was more appreciated than they could ever know. (It should be known the store itself did not except credit card payment) Thank you!

Terrible in every way. If you shop here be prepared to wait. The location staff are friendly and very helpful but management needs to step up and hire more staff, or get on a register themselves. They only ever have 2 open and wait till a roadblock forms. Having worked at this location. Upper management is the problem with not retaining talent or listening to feedback. They only care about their #'s and it shows. Can't wait for self checkout so I don't have to wait 20+min to get out.Edit for the "response from owner"I don't need to talk to you, open more than 2 register when it's prime time and then you wouldn't have such terrible service thank you.Edit 2: it appears my feedback has fallen on deaf ears because I go to this location every day for lunch and still 2check outs are the only thing that's open. It is absolutely ridiculous that I have to wait 20 minutes to get myself checked out you never hear threes a crowd over the intercom anymore having two registers open on Labor Day weekend was stupid.

They used to make the white macadamia nut cookies soft. I ordered them special and requested them to be that way. I pick them up and they were over baked again. I told them that I didn't order them like that. All this is not why I gave a 1 star. I gave a 1 star because the 2 women bakers were clearly annoyed and the older one said "Less baked? I don't know what else I can do!" Then asked the younger woman to check the ones on the shelf. She also was clearly aggravated and said "Here...these are broken. That's what you want" while pushing them towards me. I'll be avoiding this store which is unfortunate because I love the cashiers and other employees there.

This is in Benson. There are only two stores, this one and Walmart, and both lack in many ways, especially compared to Tucson versions where the competition is greater. Their pharmacy here stinks! They have time limitations on getting your medications, a line that goes out the door most of the time, and usually they screw up or misplace a medication that in turn causes me to go back multiple times. Food selection, especially organics is pretty pathetic. Prices are simply ridiculous. I understand we are in a recession (again!), but it doesn't justify robbing the consumer. They know how far we have to drive to get to Tucson to find reasonable pricing, so they take advantage of it. Same with Walmart! Truly sad! But they do keep their shelves stocked for the most part, despite their limitation on options.

I took the time to go online and select many just4u items. To test this, I only bought those items. NONE of the just4u discounts were given to me during checkout. I had to go to customer service to get them reimbursed and still we missed a couple of them. This is not the first time I have not been automatically given the discounts I selected online. That's why I tested it with this shopping trip. I've never had trouble with VONS which is a sister company to Safeway. I like the store and the selections but it's just4u discounts are a joke. Absolutely useless and terrible.

It truly is hit or miss on professional, helpful, friendly service. One morning a few months ago, I came with my child and management had an employee power washing birds out of their nests outside the front doors of the store where customers come and go. Maybe more humane and professional tactics can be employed in the future?

We went to this store on a whim, never shopped in one before. Wa quite surprised at their selections and was able to buy a few things Walmart didnt have. I would stop here before venturing to another store. We also got a 10% senior discount we weren't expecting

I've been doing business with this store for more than eight years and have ALWAYS walked out of the doors a very HAPPY customer.Their meat and produce is always clean, presentable & FRESH. The store is always very well stocked, clean and provides for a safe and comfortable shopping experience.The staff and employees are always kind, helpful and polite. Being around the store is always a GREAT experience.

I was there in June 2018 to pick up some food for a family reunion. The store was clean, well stocked, a lot to choose from. We were shopping and filled up our cart and check out was really fast. The store was clean and we'll stock. Being from out of state, we didn't know what to expect, the people were very friendly and helpful. If I'm ever in Benson, AZ again I will shop here.
