Unfortunately a well loved pet was euthanized, due to major health issue, uncorrectable. Every one is very compassionate and professional. For a small town, service prices are a little high for local economy. Otherwise a definite 5 star service.

We are new to the area after adopting a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel from a breeder. We needed to establish a Vet. We are SO glad we chose Benson Animal Hospital.We were able to get a well-dog check up appointment very quickly, the support staff was friendly and professional. Parking wad easy and ample even for our big truck.Our Vet MD was kind, gentle and very thorough. Our adopted small dog is shy, overly timid and quiet. The Vet picked up on this right away and treated her accordingly. We loved that they could do test results on site and read report within minutes. We also had tests done that required overnight processing. Our Vet called us the next day to relay results. We found our entire experience an A+ and highly recommend.

I had a great experience here. My pup got sick while we're traveling. It's nerve wracking to put your trust in total strangers so I was relieved that they treated my Sydney like he was a regular patient. He needed some minor (thankfully) emergency services and he got them. He has recovered fully and I am grateful to Benson Animal Hospital. As far as notes on expenses.. I don't find them either expensive or cheap... for me it seemed about average.

Everyone at Benson Animal Hospital is AMAZING! I came here for an emergency when our regular vet was booked up for the week and they took such good care of my dog. Everybody was attentive, kind, patient, and really walked me through everything I needed to know. Highly recommended.

One of my dogs does not handle being handled very well but they were great with her and made the visit much calmer than any we have experienced. The office worker, the assistance and the vet were all very nice, very informative and helpful. The price is the same as what we paid in NY and we were able to get alot done in one trip. All around good visit.

I recently took my diabetic cat to Benson Animal Hospital and, as usual, she received excellent care. The entire staff there is wonderful. Dr. Ellen if an incredible vet, she is very knowledgeable and kind. The techs there are the best, everyone is so friendly and professional. I will go nowhere else!!!

This professional and compassionate staff helped us with an emaciated dog we found in desert. They stayed after hours and were the crux that helped with this situation.They helped this sweet dog in her time of severe need and she is now in recovery phase. It is incredible really. And, they helped me too--I was an emotional wreck and have little experience caring for dogs...yet one in this condition.With their help, the dog is on the mend...and, she is a really wonderful dog! A life worth saving!Thank you so much to the doctor and staff who gave their time and hearts to this dog...grateful beyond words.

We were traveling through the area and staying nearby in a campground. Our dog found rat poison on the ground. We immediately sought help as he had ingested a little. We drove him to Benson Animal Hospital and soon as they saw what my husband was holding in a Ziploc bag they took immediate action. We did not know what kind of rat poison it was so they did a combination of all the protocols. Our dog is recovering and appears that he is going to be fine. I do not think that would be the case had this clinic not been so thorough. Not only were they thorough, but I see that Dr. Allen and her staff truly cared about our dog. They were very sweet to him and helped him to endure some not pleasant experiences. I cannot say enough about them. They are wonderful. I don’t know where any of the less than excellent reviews came from because they are the best.

Very disappointed how uncompassionate they were. My dog passed away and they would not cremate him for me since he was not seen in their office in the last year. What does that matter if he was not due for anything? Last time the dog was there I was unable to go in the building and in the room with the dog so I stressed him out. I would not recommend this place at all.

Came in early one morning terrified that my dog was gonna bleed to death. She had jumped up to look out a window, which shattered, and severely cut both of her front paws. She's a rescue that suffers from separation anxiety, yet was immediately placed in a cage alone in a back room so the doctor could talk price and try and rip me off for $900 STITCHES. I didn't have $900 so I asked if I could give her all I did have at the time. ($300) I told her I could I pay the rest back in the next few weeks. (NO WAY OF COURSE NOT!!) Instead she charged me $200 to show me how to wrap maxi pads around the dogs paws, to better absorb the mass amounts of blood my dog was losing. She then told me my pup would heal without her $900 stitches, it would just take longer. No idea why this person became a vet...? She didn't seem too concerned nor motivated to help my dog WHO IS EVERYTHING TO ME. Worst day of my life and a terrible, horrifying experience at Benson Animal Hospital to boot. Go anywhere else, especially if you cherish your pet.

I have been going to Dr Ellen and staff for a little over three years. I have four fur babies that all seem to have their own issues, but Batman, my oldest, requires the most attention (he is accident prone and has seizures). Everyone is so great with all four and treats them like family! Dr Ellen has been amazing with getting Batman on meds to make his seizures more manageable, and the staff is so patient with all of my questions and requests. Tammy (at the front desk) is extremely helpful with my insurance claims, working with my crazy schedule, and she even does amazing grooming on the side!! All of the staff is personable, knowledgeable, and so sweet!! I’m thankful they have been there with me through all of my vet needs! Samatha, Barbara, and all of the girls make the whole vet experience easy going!

We have a kitten that hasn’t been feeling so hot. I’ve always had good luck with this place so we brought her in to be seen. I wasn’t charged for things the kitten didn’t need. The vet wanted to see the kitten if there wasn’t any improvement. Well, there wasn’t and they were so kind to fill a prescription after hours. Today, my kitten is back to her playful self. I will continue to take all of my animals here and recommend this vet and her staff.Thank you, Benson Animal Hospital, for doing what you do to keep our animals happy and healthy.

Don’t believe the negative reviews. I’ve been to vets across the country and Dr Ellen and her staff are some of the best I’ve ever seen. My cat Elway had a bladder blockage and they kept me informed EVERY step of the way. I always felt like I knew what steps I had to take. They go out of their way to make your pet comfortable, and their love of animals is obvious. Couldn’t recommend enough!!

We are very happy with the care our dogs have received from all the doctors and staff. They are very professional and caring, guiding us when needed, following through to see how each dog is doing, with clear communications and written care instructions when we needed more help after an emergency surgery in Tucson. I have had my dog to this hospital many time and they have taken wonderful care of my dog. Even once when she was hit by a SUV and,I thought she was not going to survive. They gave me hope and took excellent care of her,I would recommend Benson Animal Hospital to anyone who needs excellent care for their fur baby. I just wish they were open on Wednesday's as they were in the past.

They were closed when they should have been open. That's what I know about this place. I had to take a taxi all the way to Tucsun instead.My best friend died! He was my service dog for 9 yrs, my best buddy, my only friend in the world!I'll love you forever Duke!You will always be my Superman!RIP! My baby!
