A wonderful visit of a friendly museum. The museum far exceeded my expectations, with incredible things you would never get to see anywhere else. It had a very local feeling, as most of the displayed items had an Ash Fork history. The staff were very friendly and were willing to help explain any questions I had. The museum was free, had information brochures and maps of surrounding Arizona towns, and had gift shop items available. A MUST VISIT for anyone traveling through Ash Fork with a little time.

What a hidden gem! We absolutely loved this museum and the attention and tour we were given by our docent, Debbie. She walked us around and explained the highlights for us based on the time we had to spend there. She was full of great information and a wonderful sense of humor. Wish we had more time to spend, so hopefully you can plan better than we did!

Great place to visit if you are passing by. The couple working there were very nice and educated on the museum. No fee and definitely worth the stop!

Kindly note Google map currently directs to the locked side of the Museum, but it is actually open on the other side from Monday to Friday. Special thanks to Debbie, the volunteer working in the museum that day, for giving us a guided tour including getting on to the vintage car and playing shuffleboard game first time ever! I wasn’t aware of the Arizona Route 66 passport until Debbie showed us, definitely a must have if you drive along Route 66.

Quick stop on route 66. Visitor center has a free museum attached (Donations accepted) showcasing several scenes from there 50s. Interactive museum with a gift store to grab your Route 66 memorabilia.Don’t forget to ask about the Route 66 Passport! It’s a free small book that includes roadside attractions while cruising the original highway!Parking is free but limited to smaller vehicles or shorter RVS. Larger RVs can park along the entrance road before entering the gated parking lot.

What a lovely museum! The guide is fantastic and very informative. It’s a bit hidden but totally worth the stop if you’re in the area as it is free and so fun. You can sit in an original model T and see the first and only jail in Ash Fork. There’s a great gift shop and clean facilities.

One of Arizona's best kept secrets. The staff was wonderful and the displays were interactive. Our children were allowed to get into the vehicles and the jail and touch the displays. There was even some free stuff. With a family are size this is the perfect museum.

Such a fun place in this quiet town. They have some quirky set ups and lots of history memorabilia from the town. My kids enjoyed the shuffle board and my boyfriend loved the model of the old hotel that used to be part of this town in the 60s. The owner was gone but her daughter in law was friendly and lovely to talk to. It is also free but donations are welcome and appreciated. Definitely check it out!

Great to be at this dead end o the route 66. Met a great guy, real cowboy Arizona free man, carrying his revolver. Nice talking to you, John F. Green. Keeping writing and telling your nice stories. Enjoyed the food at Lilo's..

One of the hidden gems of the Mother Road is the Route 66 Museum. We were surprised by the sheer amount of information on display in that little place! Everything from a model of the Ash Fork strip in its heydey to the phone used at the top of the pole in the TV show "Green Acres" is there. Make sure you sign the guest book, because that's their record of visitors and justifies keeping it open! Highly recommended!

Small donation only museum. Attendants were kind and allowed the kids to interact with some of the exhibits.

A very pleasant surprise! Lots of cool stuff. The people who run it are very nice and knowledgeable. The older gentleman (in the photo)is really fun to talk to. Has great stories. I learned that almost every piece of flagstone in the US comes from Ash Fork. Not much else in Ash Fork, but if you’re going by, it’s a good stop.
