This place is thee worst Safeway in the state!! Everytime I go to shop their add , almost every item advertised is sold out. On top of it all, the tall Burnette younger butcher is one of the rudest persons I have ever encountered amongst the stores personnel. This store needs a new manger as well, or whom ever does their ordering. The ad for Easter was a joke , they had no prime rib a couple days into the ad, no ribeye family pack steaks and the list goes on. I have had several conversations with other shoppers in the store and we all say the same things. If you want something that's in the ad go to Albertsons on Ellsworth and Baseline, the store is clean, well stocked, and well managed. Safeway on Apache Trail is mismanaged, can't keep employees there, and is filthy.

I am a member and a snowbird. Today I bought their deli chicken for the first time. It is also the last time. Not only was it extremely salty but where I come from the chicken backs are usually a separate piece and used with necks and giblets to make gravy/broth. Every thigh piece and breast piece was attached to a 1/4 of the back so although your pieces looked big you were not getting a full thigh or a full breast. Unfortunately I bought two of the 8 piece "specials".

I'm sick of having to screw around with an app to get a discount. They have too many things to trick the customers into paying too much: Digital coupons, member discount, must buy 2, must buy 5. I didn't notice the "must buy 2" for ice cream to get it at $2.67. I bought one and was charged $7.50 (yikes). I grabbed another and headed to customer service to buy 2 and refund the difference. There was a customer getting help from the clerk....with how to get digital coupons on her phone!Safeway is a pain in the rear end for customers!

I've been going to the one in Apache Junction Safeway for over 15 years. Went there to buy some cold cuts at the deli section at 5:30 and the service person behind the counter told me they were closed cuz they were cleaning all their machines first time in 15 years I ever heard of somebody saying they were cleaning all five cutting machines at the same time refused to serve me talk to manager manager agreed with service. So I just went to Walmart didn't care to go but now I've changed my mind and I'll just start going to Walmart thank you safeway.

It's ok. I can tell when management is there and the store helps more and it's cleaner. I do wish the snowbirds treated Safeway employees better.

This store NEVER fails to DISAPPOINT! Never ever enough enough staff. Why advertise "3's a crowd" when it means nothing! No less than seven, (yes, 7) people standing in every line! Not one person called for help. It took me just a few minutes to get all my shopping done, but 25 minutes to check out. Seriously ridiculous!!!

I have been coming to this store for years now. Every single time I've been through this checkout, I find at least one item that they overcharged for. They keep telling me it's a mix-up or an accident, but if it was, at least 1% of their so-called accidents would go in my favor. It has always been 100% in their favor. They steal money from old people everyday that don't check the receipt. They are literally worse than some thief waiting for a little old lady by her car to steal her pocketbook in the parking lot. As a matter of fact they are worse . The people that run this company, are horrible rotten people that know exactly what they are doing.

Let's talk about the pharmacy.... Raymond is a rude human... He gossips about customers with La Frontera the medical clinic right across the street.... Monique is just an awful human being she screams at customer she has no business being in customer service....OWEN, is the only employee I can say that has any integrity and he goes above and beyond... He does not bully the customers like the rest of his staff does thank you Owen for being bully too...😂

One if the cleanest & well-layed out stores around. Most stores these days it seems the aisles are getting more narrow, unless the carts are getting wider. (Kidding). In addition to not having to squeeze by other shoppers I haven't had an item I was looking for out of stock, even any of the smoking deals they have, even on the last day of the sale. Love it!

Very clean and fancy displays, Whole store I was impressed with. Staff is so friendly and engaging always opening new lanes at any sight of backup! Thats worth it's weight in gold and crackers!

Convenient, close to home. Has a good amount of fresh food and never crowded. Finally got the much needed self checkouts. Aisles are nice and wide, store is always clean, bright lighting.

Kind of a frumpy store, that's almost *always* out of their sale items by mid-afternoon the day of the sale. Good variety of reasonably priced, wet cat food offered here! Bakery products are a complete rip-off, price wise! Fry's Bakery is comparably diverse with sane prices to match! Watch your register scans, people! I cannot stress this enough! Because they will *rip you off* without batting an eyelash & you won't know it till you get home & look at your receipts!

I always love this Safeway. The staff are so nice. They have good deals all the time. I like the fact they have a cashier available for checkout also with self-service, depending on what you need.

Unlike Fry's, this store is fully stocked, easy to great around in and competitive on the pricing. The staff is friendly and for the most part, greet you and are glad your there.For me, I would pay just to go one and done on groceries!!

One of the cashier's were giving a elderly woman a hard time about avocado pricing. He told her only the first 4 can have the sale price. I stepped in and told her I would buy the next 4 if he had a problem with her,getting more than she could. After that he just said ok I'll just give them to u for the sale price.

I would have given no stars if I could have!!Bought the deli fried chicken. Looked good in the case But It was HORRIBLE!! So over cooked the meat was fused together. Couldn'tchew it!! It had an old old oil taste. It had a Rancid taste to it!!!!I will NEVER EVER buy any deli item here again!!!!!!

I had to bag my own groceries, almost $400 worth, there were a lot of them. I asked a manager could he get someone, he said all baggers were outside getting carts. He was watching the self checkout lanes, never offered to help. Previous employees had helped before I got to the checkout, that's why they got 2 stars.

Great store. Customer friendly and very helpful if you cant find what you were looking for. I never use self service. Takes longer then real checkout stations. Also I do not get a paycheck from Safeway for bagging my own groceries and going through the self service lines.
