I went looking for a new love bird a month ago after a rescue of mine died. Pretty feathers had an amazing selection of babies and grown lovebirds to choose from. I ended up picking one of their babies they had and doing a down payment as she wasn’t ready to go home just yet. The owner was super nice and gave me all sorts of amazing info and advice to set up for my new bird and gave me updates every time I popped in to visit. The customer service was amazing and the selection of birds was huge! An amazing shop and I can’t wait to go back for my baby’s regular trimmings and picking her up toys and things for her cage from them.

Heard about the store from a volunteer with The Salvation Army. We stopped in and my daughter fell in love with a little Parrotlet. The owner and her son were super friendly. I always get nervous in pet shops because typically people aren’t too kind with the littles who want to participate. My daughter is 4, and they were so kind! The owners son helped her pick it up, and let her sit and play with her for a while. We got a sticker and enjoyed looking at the rest of the birds. Should she convince her grandparents to get her the bird, we’ll be returning as customers! Otherwise we’ll frequent when in the area to enjoy their shop!

They're next to where I work grooming dogs, although I've never personally went in, I've heard some stories of how much they really love their birds they have in there, keeping and taking care of some that probably couldnt survive otherwise from people hitting tough times and having to give them up so I commend them for the great work they do for the community.

The Best Bird store we have ever been too. Sometimes we just go there to pick up a few toys but we stay for hours playing with all the amazing birds. From Baby Tiels, GC to Ring Necks, African Gray, Cockatoo’s to GORGEOUS Macaw’s especially Mr Pedro who’s 104 years old. Every friendly bird you can imagine is here and thanks to the super sweet owner on caring for them. We knew instantly she loves all these babies and there is so many with high quality toys, perches and food. This is YES bird store for every bird owner or future bird owner. We Love this store!!

You DO NOT want to go there on Sept 30 we took our cocktail there for a wing clip and nail trim which we had done on him many times we have had this bird for over six years and was perfectly healthy, long story short when we got home our bird was bleeding from his beak and lying on his stomach crying in pain,we immediately took him to the vet and was told he was in tremendous pain and should be put to sleep which they did. I loved that bird and couldn't stand to see him suffer a slow painful death. As far as I'm concerned these people should be shut down due to cruelty to animals. This amazing shop with the coolest crew EVER has caught my heart! Special shout out to Joseph, so patient, kind, and wise - I think he is a bird whisperer. They all seem to want his shoulder!And of course, Christina is always sweet, always knowledgeable, ❤️ always with a bright smile ready to help.If you have birds who nee things or want birds, you'll want to check out this place!Thanks to everyone over at Pretty Feathers, for taking such good care of each bird. My birds are my life and I was in need of a bird groomer that had the skill and compassion that is needed for my flock. I compare everyone to my home town (I'm not from Arizona) and I've been looking and comparing for a long time. I just wanted someone who had the experience and still that I was used to.I found this little jewel in Apache Junction that is really close to me so to check it out, I brought my most difficult bird just to make my assessment. I brought my green wing macaw that hates being toweled. Christina the owner and groomer took her time to sweet talk him and then went in his carrier with her bare hands and was able to secure him!!! I was totally gobsmacked! No one has ever been able to do that, not even back home.After hovering over her for a short time after she secured him in a towel, she used clippers and a file for his nails, not a dremel which the other stores do and just really terrorize him. She used a file on his beak too, again, not a dremel which rattles their brain.Honestly, I've been around and this is it for my flock. I buy all my food, toys and anything else I need from Pretty Feathers too. Their prices are more than fair but the ambience when you walk in tells it all.

Pretty Feathers is our favorite bird store around here! Their birds are well loved and cared for - and it shows. They have a wonderful selection of hand fed baby birds to choose from and offer great services like grooming and boarding. If your fine feathered friends at home need food, perches, toys or new dishes you will find what you're looking for.If you stop in, make sure to say hello to Pedro, their over 100 year old macaw. His birthday celebration even made the newspaper last year.

This place is simply amazing and I highly recommend it to all bird owners in the Apache junction area. It is also a very great place to buy one for the first time. As others have said, the owner is very knowledgeable about birds. She sells a variety of cages, toys and food as well.

My husband and I went here to purchase a baby cockatiel to be part of our family. I read the reviews first and that is why I chose this place. My husband had called the day before and was told that they hand feed and take good care of the new babies. Everyone was friendly and answered our questions. You were able to tell that they loved all the birds there. I thought it was nice that they brought in a handicapped bird and will take care of it forever. Our new baby cockatiel will be ready to come home within 2 weeks and we are very excited! I highly recommend purchasing your new bird here. Enjoy!

The store was cool, clean and nice. But no one greet us, I had to keep asking question to the employee kept walking away. I never had bird I am interested, there was no prices for the birds. They were rude not very helpful the prices for the birds were ridiculous.

This store was the highlight of the plaza. I had a lot of fun walking around. The owner was welcoming and let the shoppers walk around without being pushy. I loved the huge variety of birds. I saw tiny parakeets, cockatiels, green birds, parrots, and even a cockatoo. I like how some of the birds were sitting outside their cage. They also had another open half-cage where the top half of the enclosure was open.The store was neat and they also had bird feed, toys, and other items. Everything was easy to find.

I went here just to browse hand raised birbs and left with the best cockatiel!!!! She’s my best friend and she’s absolutely the sweetest thing. She is fine to hang out on my shoulder ALL DAY and she loves to be pet like a little puppy. 🤣 100% would recommend if you’re looking for birbs that have been hand fed and are used to people, hands and noise. ❤️❤️ they also board your babies and do quick and inexpensive nail trims.

Linda is an amazing person. She is great with the birds. She is compassionate and truly loves what she does. I bring my birds in regularly to get their nails trimmed and wings clipped. My girls come with me and we enjoy walking around spending time with all the birds in the store. I highly recommend Pretty Feathers Bird Store :-)

By far, the best bird store I have been too. The owner, Linda, is friendly, knowledgeable and made us feel like she was glad we came. We ended up getting a parrotlet and couldn't be happier. She didn't push us and was very patient. The store is clean and no odors. Which any other bird stores always have a smell. I would recommend this store to everyone who is looking for a bird. You can tell she loves her birds and knows each and every one of them.

Had a co-worker from my store tell me that a new bird store moved in, so I thought I’d stop by. The store was clean and pristine, and the birds were all so very happy. The owner was very kind and helpful! They had great prices on bird toys, and it was fun to see all of the happy hand fed birds greet us as we walked in! The birds wouldn’t shy away at all. I will definitely be going here more often for my bird supplies. The absolute best bird store I have been to. Never have to deal with and bad chain places again! If you’re looking for healthy, happy birds, this is the place to get them! They have all kinds of birds!

We just bought my son a Conure from Linda. She is so kind, knowledgeable and patient. You can tell she truly loves and cares for her birds. We had many options when thinking about adding a bird to our family, but we are so glad we chose Pretty Feathers. I feel like I could call her up and ask her for advice. I absolutely love this store!! We bought all 3 of our birds from here. Linda the owner trims their nails, and clips the wings. She also has great cages and supplies, and also great advice on birds. Such a great experience coming to this store!

This is the best bird shop we have been to. The prices are fair and the lady who runs the places is knowledgeable and will help you with anything you need. They offer wing/nail clipping at only 7 dollars which is just amazing specially when you have more than 1 bird. All the birds in her shop look very healthy and they are hand fed. The place is clean and just a great atmosphere.
