I love this bar by Toby Keith ! That is the song that plays through my head everytime I am there. The atmosphere and the crew are amazing. And there's live music!! You'll forget your in desert. Truly a great place to visit. And the owner Will is a great guy!

Best bar ever! The owner was a hoot and so fun! Happened upon this place just by chance and had a great time. Smoked chicken was delicious. Don’t bother going if you are overly sensitive or easily offended. Otherwise you will love it! Great bar, will definitely go back.

What a great fun bar!!! Since it's under new management it is so enjoyable to be in there. Very clean and awsome customer service!!! Love all the live music choices and specials. If you are in Alpine you gotta stop in and enjoy a drink!!! Oh and it seems the elk like it too they hang out behind de the parking lot. Just love it!!

Don’t waste your time.Good service, rude owners. Live in a very remote area, dressed up to go to town. Owner/bartender made very rude remarks (to a very polite request) insinuating that they don’t like people from the city coming to their bar…. I guess they assumed that since I was dressed up that I was from the city.

I went to Will's place on a motorcycle trip and had a great time at this establishment. Will, the owner, was an amazing host for the evening. I had never met the man, but because of his somewhat ambiguous reviews ... by some... I decided to roll the dice. I was very impressed by all the banter we could conjure up, and even bought a bit of delicious coffee he had for sale. He's a great dude, and I plan on returning. He's a straight shooter, and a man full of great stories. Hope to see you soon Will, the coffee was top grade!

My wife and I stopped in yesterday for a drink. We were greeted at the door by a sign that said “beer as cold as your ex-wife’s heart”. This was just the beginning of the sarcasm and rudeness from the owner. Water is $25 a glass unless your eating. don’t bother asking for a menu unless you are drinking, there aren’t any! No wine list either…. If your expecting this to be a cute little out of the way place, keep truckin! The only reason for the second star was because it reminded me a small town Wisconsin gin mill… we’ll be back, thanks Will!

Whilst traveling home from a softball game through the mountains, I found myself needing use of facilities. I happened upon Ye Olde Tavern in Alpine AZ. I submitted my request to enter and make use of the establishment's ladies room. The barkeep was kind and very much a gentleman. Everything was clean, pleasant smelling and I appreciated the homey touches of green foliage. Thank you kind Sir, for welcoming a weary traveler in need.

Will is a guy who will give you his menu with one fist. Don't ask for sides.He's a conservative crazy who makes sense (and serves a good glass of cold beer).Highly recommended.Bike not required.

This review is about 2 years late. I went up to Alpine September of '19 and this place was my hangout for the couple days i visited. I enjoyed hanging out with the owner and the Australians that were traveling through the US on their holiday. I need to plan a trip back soon.

During our camping trip stopped here because we seen a sign for pizza and wings. The wings were very very yummy. Then we ordered the supreme pizza which was also very yummy. Great atmosphere. Wood stove going, and a guy with a guitar whom was very entertaining, he played a Neil young song for me. Yay!

The only real bar in town. The owner, Will, is a good fellow; if you treat him and his bar with the respect that he deserves, you can have an enjoyable visit and take home with you a pleasant memory of your time spent in Alpine. To those of you who have bad mouthed either Will or the bar-- PLEASE STAY THE HELL AWAY!!!

I’ve been camping with my family for a few days and we really wanted to be able to watch the Suns game and get some food. This was one of the few options available and it was awful. The owner was incredibly rude and hostile and even called us “weird” for coming to the bar to watch the game. Not only was he making crude and insensitive comments directly to us, he wouldn’t let us order food because he “only had 4 chicken strips left”. We ended us leaving at half time because he wouldn’t stop. We are now at an AMAZING AND DELICIOUS pizza place called Goob’s Pizza! GO THERE INSTEAD!

The Tavern is the place to be if you are stopping through Alpine! Stay for a couple of drinks and a pizza. Be yourself and bring your opinions, they're all welcome... just make sure to be on your A-game to defend them!Great beer on draft, liquor selection, and space for your dog if they're with you.

I love dive bars:( so it made me sad to come here. As a bartender first impressions are the way to go. Just have to be nice and welcoming I can ignore any issues as long as the bartender is awesome. Maybe the guy had a bad day, I might try again my next visit.

So what first attracted me to this establishment was the offensive red white and blue flag out front that said F*#% Joe Biden. I went into the bar in hopes to convince them to take it down. So I went in with my wife and my female dog who now identifies as a male cat but he said only dogs were aloud not cats. So I put the cat back in the car. He then asked me for identification which I expected from this deplorable and was very offended that he would even ask for identification because last time I voted in CA they did not even bother to ask for that. So I took off my two N95 masks and face shield to eat and we proceeded to discuss this offensive flag in front. He then explained to about a lap top and suppressed Hunter Biden information that I never heard of that swayed the election and then shared I was in formed that POTUS actually identifies as Brandon now which again I was unaware of since the only channel I watch is CNN... So we bother agreed that Brando was his new name and we all started a great chantthat erupted in the bar “Let’s Go Brandon”.

This place is an excellent lesson in the 1st amendment: inappropriate (and hilarious) signs are freely flown inside and out so if you're easily offended or thin skinned just keep rolling down the road. William, your host may say something off color: treat this as an opportunity to discuss the topic deeper but fair warning he might just be bored and yanking your chain to make his day more interesting so keep your sense of humor - remember you're in a country bar where a humorous comeback will win you respect. Order an alcoholic beverage and some food and RELAX...you ain't in Applebees so have fun!
