We were just passing through town and decided to stop here for dinner. We were warmly welcomed and the atmosphere was comfortable. I am vegetarian and I was so excited to have a couple options to choose from on the menu! I ordered the beyond burger with grilled tomato and a special bbq sauce. I also got the baked beans for my side dish. It was a GOURMET meal! The plate presentation was pleasant, the food was worth every penny, and service was on point. My husband was very impressed with his brisket. We will be dinning here EVERY time we pass through here.😋Vegetarian options: The Beyond Burger has two options: with guacamole and pico de gallo or with grilled tomato and special BBQ sauce. Ask for no cheese if you are vegan on the burger. There is also a vegetarian pizza option. For a healthier vegetarian side dish, the baked beans were delicious!

Food was very good and friendly wait staff. Owners on premises. Comfortable dining with beautiful views. Would of been 5 stars but there was a sign in the bathroom that was religious geared. Unfortunately, that tainted weather it was a safe place for our whole family. Especially with neighbors sporting extremely conservative past government administration, signs, banners and flags.Parking: Plenty of street parking and lots on side street.Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating and friendly towards kids!

We choose to eat here because it has outdoor seating where we could bring our dog. However, we were allowed inside the door since one of our party was soaked from riding in the rain and cold. The food was great and servers were friendly and even brought water and a Milkbone dog biscuit for our dog. The owner was there with his dog and had a nice conversation with us.

Was 1st Annual Music festival and weather was not great for it. The band's were good and listen to some great music. The food was good and the only negative I saw was long lines to restroom. A couple of potapotties would help greatly. It is very beautiful area with lots of wildlife. I would recommend visiting.

We got to town late on my motorcycle and we hadn't eaten all day. Everything in town was closing, including Foxfire. We walked in and they kept the restaurant open to ensure we went to bed with a full stomach. I had the best chicken-fried steak I've ever had and the service was best in class. Great food, atmosphere, and even better people. I'm now a loyal customer for life. Thanks Foxfire 😊

My husband and I had a great evening here. The weather was beautiful. We took our dogs with us and sat on the patio. The owner, Lisa wasca delight. We had the blackened chicken fettucini and mushroom ravioli, both were excellent!

I never do reviews but felt this one was necessary. I highly recommend this place! The food was great, and they were extremely accommodating and friendly! My wife has celiacs disease and we were surprised that they offer a large amount of gluten-free options including buns, pizza crust, soups, and pasta. So if you have a gluten allergy this place is fantastic.My wife, my kid, and I had gotten back into town late from fishing and showed up 5 minutes before closing not realizing they closed at 8:00. They we're still happy to get us seated even though we offered to come back another time. The live band was great, the wait staff was attentive and friendly, and the most adorable dog was wandering around named Riley. The owner even gave my little boy a chance to give Riley a treat which made his evening! I'd give it 6 stars if I could!Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free optionsKid-friendliness: They have a great kids menu. My seven year old loved the food and wants to go back any time we come visit.

Note: scroll to bottom for latest visit. 5 stars!!!!The food was ok. We had ordered chicken strips as an appetizer and we received four on the small side strips. The strips were tasty but a few more or larger size would have been expected for the price. Our hamburgers were as expected (juicy, tasty) along with the fries. The mushroom burger could have been made a little better, the mushrooms were chopped instead of sliced (sliced would have made the presentation better). The proportions of fries differed from one plate to the other, so they need to work on that but they were a good amount for the price. The place has a nice bar and the drinks we ordered were brought quickly. Our drinks were topped off when needed and the waitress was helpful even with a large party on the other side of the restaurant. There was a dog roaming the bar and he seemed to read people pretty good and began barking at a few customers that I too read as "passive aggressive"...lol. The dog was chill with us and hung out with us. It was raining and the place stayed warm. It's a nice retreat and is central in Alpine. Also a good note, the place has the best wifi in the area of all the restaurants we visited. The place has a "cabin" vibe and has a couple TVs. There are some very nice Elk mounts that decorate the place. The restroom was stocked and clean. I saw a for sale sign on the side of the building so hopefully they aren't going away anytime soon. I'd like to see them iron out the wrinkles on the food and stick around.Round 2 a year later! Drinks were fast. The place was packed! Our orders were put in fast and the scotch and gin were quickly brought! The food was perfect this time and the portions were perfect too! New rating is 5 stars!!!

One of the best little restaurants I have ever eaten at. The atmosphere was so chill, everyone was very friendly, lots of beers on top. The inside is very cool and the food is incredible. I cannot say enough great things about this place.

If you want to know what America is about. Find yourself several hours away from any big city and wander into a place like this and find yourself in the middle of a birthday celebration where three pieces of cake arrive at your table and you just feel welcome and warm. Hospitality, musical talent, and amazing food buried in a mountain side treasure of a town. Thank you all of Alpine for making our two nights here so memorable.

A lively, popular spot that offers good food and (on at least some nights) live music. Service was friendly, timely, and attentive. My wife had Chicken Alfredo, and I chose to treat myself with a burger (which I rarely do). Neither entree disappointed. I had baked beans as a side dish, and was pleasantly surprised at the large serving size. The owner came around and made sure everything was satisfactory. The whole experience made us feel welcome.

The food was fantastic! The service was great. Our waitress was pleasant, efficient, and there when we needed her. As a bonus to the meal, the owner, Steve, came over to our table to ask us how our meal was, thanked us for coming in and said he hoped we'll come back. My two buddies and I will definitely be back. We highly recommend the Foxfire at Alpine!

Waitress was very friendly and excited to be at her job. Food was pretty good. They have a dog that is sort of a mascot for the place. It lends an interesting atmosphere. There was live music and it wasn’t too bad. But, it got so crowded and loud that conversation would have been impossible.

It was really busy, but they kept seating more and more people. We waited almost two hours for a burger (good) and nachos (not good and old guacamole). At one point, there were at least five or six tables in the bar area with us and none of us had any food. Why have fifty customers unsatisfied when you could do a great job for thirty? The servers were under so much stress because no one was happy.

Second time we've been here. First time they weren't open until 4 so we ate down the street. But the owner came out and asked if we were waiting for them to open and told us they wouldn't be open for a few more hours and recommend the alpine grill, just down the street. This time we were able to get a table. Great restaurant, eclectic and fun. Great service, it was a little cold for the wife so they offered her a horse blanket to keep warm. Just a fun place with great service and good food. We will definitely be back up here.
